Fun collection of comfort food on the menu. We had the Biscuit & Gravy and Lil' Birdy (chicken biscuit). Both were ample in size, very filling. We're not from the area, but will definitely dine here again if we're ever back in that area.

My only suggestion would be to add a couple strips of bacon or sausage on the side to balance out all the sweetness. The chicken fried steak was also really good, it tasted quality and homemade, not like something frozen and reheated. The gravy had flavor, the eggs were cooked nicely, and the biscuit was great too. Everything felt comforting and made with care.

I feel like every Arizona Wilderness in the Valley has its own vibe and it's neat that they're all unique in their own way.

Tacos are basically $4 a piece but they are bigger than your regular taco and they don't have any burritos on their menu. We order the Al pastor and asada with everything on it. Al pastor was a hit but the asada was super salty. The salsa they put on the asada taco was the culprit. Probably won't get the salsa next time.

The location is weird, like in a neighborhood. Just keep driving--you'll see it, but the first time I went there I thought I was lost and finally spotted it! They've remodeled and expanded the eating area which is great because before it was so busy and you felt crammed, but don't go expecting some high end taco shop. I felt like the fanciest person there when I went since I went on my lunch break in business casual. Honestly I don't care as long as the tacos keep coming out bomb.

However, just one--or maybe two--of these ( family ) workers speak English. This is very discouraging when you're ordering your food and these said people are not there. The only reason I didn't give this updated review a 5-I ordered the banh mi sando and the sandwich was so dry. Chicken was dry. The cilantro wasn't chopped I had to pick out long stems. Also I got the AZ frosè and the rosemary syrup was just way too pungent to enjoy the whole beverage. I wished it had been more balanced. Especially when the French fries are heavily seasoned with rosemary--a bit too much.
