This is the best chicken I have had in Arizona. If you love bbq chicken this is the place.

20 out of 10 stars! This place is my favorite business in all of Arizona. This is the best chicken I've ever had. I stumbled out on it a few years ago when I took a wrong turn. I saw the smoke coming out of the business and the bright colors and I thought to myself - this is authentic and this is going to be delicious. The business I was trying to head to (Escape Campervan, which is just around the corner) had an employee there who told me he eats here for lunch all the time as it's the best chicken in the Valley! Let me tell you. It did not disappoint. Literally every time I visited Phoenix I would come here. And then when I had the choice to move here my first thought was - oh yeah, I get to have this chicken. Their charbroiled chicken is better than the barbecued rib in my opinion but either are delicious so you cannot go wrong. Their macaroni salad is also great. Make sure to check your order before you leave. Service is fast but they can mix it up by accident (happened to me, so sad, but thankfully I noticed). Don't be daunted if you don't speak Spanish. The menu is also in English and Spanish. Just point and you'll be fine but chances are you'll be served by someone nice who speaks English. This place is great. Update: They do accept credit card with a 3% convenience fee added. They now also let you give you a tip if you pay through credit card.

Heading back home from the May 1st rally/march I was hungry and headed to the Ranch Market on 16th St to get some chicken and tamales. When turning off Jefferson onto 16th, El Pollo C caught my eye and I thought... must be worth a try for a chicken place to obviously last so long on this nondescript corner. Seeing the wood carbon charcoal and ample grill I knew that they were old school asadores. Bottom line...very good chicken and home made tortillas. Not the ambiance or ample menu of the Ranch Market, but great for take away. I think it may be worth a taste test between these two classical places to see whose chicken rules the day. It may even be a tie...no loser for sure.

The ribs/costillos! Super bomb! Hot and fresh!

I wanted to first off say this chicken was the best tasting the juiciest chicken. We walked in and it was busy. The place was small has a few tables. We got lucky and got a table! Ordered the 1/2 chicken and half ribs / Costillos. It came with corn tortillas and some sides. Pickled onions. Salsa. It was good. Ordered some beans and Mac salad. The beans were hot and tasty. Perfect actually. The ribs were crispy and seasoned just right for me. The chicken too. First bite. Really juicy and flavorful. I couldn't put it down. But had to dig into to those ribs. Like I said these ribs were a throwback to when I was a kid and my pops would bbq some ribs. No sauce just salt and pepper and charcoal. So good! Our first time here and we'll be back.

What a find on Thanksgiving day. So glad they were open. The chicken was so tasty and moist. All the fixins with tortillas to make a delicious taco.

Amazing place. Felt like home. Prices reasonable and people very nice. I loved the selection of chicken with the accoutrements. Would come again! (They also treated Mi Perro with respect.

Getting my yummy dinner for tonight!

Best mesquite grilled chicken, also the peppers are really good here. Little pricey but not upset because the food is good.

Food is great but pricey for chicken. Paying for the taste, I haven't found a place as good as this place's chicken. Whole chicken is $20

It couldn't have be more basic than what I ordered and actually what I received. The burrito was supposed to be a beef burrito chimichanga I ended up with a rice and bean, mostly rice and a little bit of meat.. Highly disappointed Authentic, I wanna say more like Taco Bell when they stuff their burritos full rice. If the first ingredient in a burrito is beef then that should be the main ingredient not full of rice and beans When restaurants disguise their burritos with fillers, I have a big problem with them. On top of that with a soda was $25 So I basically paid for an overpriced rice burrito The place was beautiful inside it was very Mexican authentic a mariachi band played which was a little too loud, actually very too loud for the the restaurant, I couldn't even hear the waitress talk to me I understand music is supposed to be submersed in the culture, but if you can't even hear your waitress, there's a little bit of a problem I'm gonna try to give them another chance though. I'll try one of their other dishes something that won't be disguised like a burrito was Again, I was highly disappointed with the burrito I got I should've returned it

Best: the sesame balls - not too sweet, very soft, fresh, and flavorable! followed by the Meatballs and the chicken satay bowl - wow, flavorful, fresh, fantastic. Next: cha lua minh. Bread was fantastic. Beware the jalapeños- they are definitely small but mighty! (Put on side for couple things) Saved the coffee for the morning. We ordered it online - the pickup is interesting. Nice big parking lot, 3 picnic tables outside - very clean and nice. Clear signage. You walk into a tiny lobby - two electronic kiosks to order onsite if you want, and two little kiosks for order pickup. Held up my phone with the order # on it and it told us which bin had our order and it popped open. Nice woman behind a small counter window helped us very nicely as we were a bit confused about how to do the pickup. This little "lobby" is tiny - maybe room for 8 people total? Not sure how it would be during a busy time, but it's a quick and easy process. Overall, highly recommended! We will be back, if nothing else than for the sesame balls and some meatballs!

I feel like the pickled veggies weren't pickled enough so it was missing that flavor I love when I have a banh mi. It was a solid banh mi, but I have other places I would prefer to go to instead.
