What happened to the service at this place? I used to come here with my family and we would always get great service. Perhaps they were having a bad day because we received one of the worst service of our life (if you can even call it that!) first we walk in, the server sticks her head out and says you want to take that table on the corner? Ugh sure. Then we sat there waiting for someone to take our order. I had to wave someone down. She took our order and never brought us our waters or pan and chimichurri . I had to then again ask the server if she can bring us our waters and pan. It was insane how they were straight up ignoring us! The only time the server was slightly attentive was when she dropped off the check and picked it up-of course. We also wanted to order some empanadas to go and had told the server but she forgot and honestly we wanted to get out of there so bad. Ir felt like we were being rushed out of there!! Just so so bad! I don't feel like going back here at least for a while and it's sad because like I said I used to come here all the time with my family and my sister lives down the street! read more

Decent place for Argentinian food here in Glendale. It's been around for a very long time and consistency looks like it's key. We started off with the provoleta. Meted provolone cheese with spices melted in a cast iron skillet. Tasty! 5/5 Capresse salad was standard. Good size for sharing. Tomatoes and mozzarella were fresh. 5/5 Moved on to the chicken Picata. This was just ok. Thin chicken breast lightly breaded with a lemon sauce served with spaghetti and marinara. Ehhhh chicken was a little dry and the sauce was more tart than flavorful. 3/5 Eggplant parmigiana was good. Not amazing. Been to a few traditional Italian places that made it better. For $15 it could have been better. Service was great though! It's worth a try if you're in Glendale and don't forget to check out the happy hour specials. read more

We visited El Morfi Grill and were very delighted with the Argentinian Parrillada we ordered. We asked for medium rare, and it was cooked to perfection, the taste of the cuts were delicious. The Chimichurri, to accompany it all, was perfectly made and enhancement the flavors to maximum savor. We had a glass of Malbec wine, recommended by the server, and we were in paradise having the best lunch in quite a while. To top it all off, for dessert we had Crepes with dulce de leche and Tiramisu. I used to be a fan of this place's empanadas, but I recently got so dissapointed in them, even my parents mentioned they weren't as before. First of all, they took forever for my order of 3 beef and 3 chicken empanadas when the place wasn't even busy. One of the girls on the front was so into fixing to-go plates that she didn't even offer me a sauce to accompany my empanadas with, the other one just gave me my order and that's it. I thought they've had put some, in my order box; but nothing just my empanadas. I remembered in the past the empanada order came with a chimichurri sauce. The empanadas are $2 each, but they are a very good size and I get full from eating 3. The best part is the chimichurri sauce, which I slather on every single bite. However, this is an extra cost... you can buy small containers for .50 cents each or buy a jar for around $5. I buy the jar because I love it so much. Something told me to leave but instead of doing it I decided not to. For the sake of the family of course. They we're we're excited about going to an Argentinian restaurant for the empanadas and of course and the beef. Here we are ready to have a nice family meal for five. One being a child of five . So my wife, my son and I ordered a steak ($38.00) each. Expecting a delicious meal what we got was slab of meat each with garlic potatoes, which had no garlic taste whatsoever. No vegetables, no salad or soup that's it. Which is stated in the menu, I'll give you that. We also ordered the deep fried squid and empanadas. And that's where it ended. Well the taste of the potatoes was not very good, and the steaks were bland. My daughter-in-law ordered Fettuccine Alfredo and Spaghetti and meat sauce for our grandchild. Which my daughter-in-law stated it wasn't too bad but how can you screw up Spaghetti or Fetuchini right. All in all, the service and portions we're terrible except for the appetizers and the pasta. The empanadas we're OK . As you probably have already deducted. The the food was so, so. Nothing to write home about. I'm writing this review so that you may avoid the grief of of getting ripped off and having a bad experience. Everything was bad. The service, the food and the portions. I'm not one to write reviews or bash an establishment. But this place definitely deserves two thumbs down. The whole experience was very BAD! He used that word) then he asked if it was our first time and upon knowing that we had been there years ago he said there was no use in giving good service b/c we were not regulars. Definitely I have to start saying that the person who came out to me and my family and who was waitress to us was really nice man, explaining us all about the menu which was really great to me seeing so many options for lunch. We decided to order two pizzas, and some empanadas to my wife. The pizzas were really good, specially the dough was incredible! The "Fugazeta" was amazing!! So tasty and delicious!! Argentinian food in the heart of Glendale can be a bit off, since it is more known for portos and Persian food. I was suggested to come here so we can celebrate mothers day. They wanted Argentinan food, and this was the closest location. The place was crowded with only groups, the service was great, the food was okay, but still had major bumps. EMPANADAS: We tried the beef and chicken empanadas. They had a case filled with empanadas when we first arrived, but by the time we left, the case was empty. The beef was good, it wasn't oily or dry. The only thing is that the beef was a bit under seasoned, so It didn't have much flavor. The chicken Empanada was better with flavor, but the meat was a bit dry. Hit or miss I would think. PARRILLADA PARA DOS: Ok so I get the concept that this is meant for two people. When I saw this, it wasn't as much meat as I thought. The meat was good, tender, but a bit over charcoaled. It came with one skirtsteak, two short ribs, one chorizo, one black sausage, and beaten down chicken. For something that cost 60 bucks each, I was expecting MORE. At least two of everything at least right?! SIDES: We had a few sides from two styles of rice and fries. The rice was good. It was light and fluffy. The fries on the other hand was just plain gross. It was cooked in old oil or the fries was just old. Either way, no one ate it except my niece who just didn't care that it was old and ate it. SANGRIA: I can say I LOVED this! There was no fruits or anything inside, but it wasn't dry at all. It was really really sweet and couldn't even taste the wine at all. It was more like fruit punch, but I am not a big fan of wine so maybe that's why I liked it. DRINKS: We had tons of drinks from beer, wine, to soft drinks like soda, lemonade, and tea. The lemonade was off, we couldn't figure out why. The sugar wasn't blended well enough where the particles would separate. Other then that, the other drinks were fine. SERVICE: Great great service, but not realizing that they added about 20% tip from the bill, I am sure she tried so we had great service! All in all, would I ever come back? Ummmm...NO! The food was fine, but wasn't that impressed. At the same time, the prices was just really overpriced for the amount of food. We ordered two parrillada para dos, 6 empanada, drinks from beer - soft drinks - one sangria, 3 sides, and one entrée for about $350! I think that's just really ridiculous. Also, when I got there, there was a waitress (I think) who questioned me about why I am sitting at the table, and if I was even with the party. I was taken back, until our waitress told her that I was with the party. I guess an asian person can't sit on a reserved table thats under a hispanic name without being questioned of why am i even sitting on the table. So if you want Argentinian food, go to the valley. read more
