Chile relleno

Food has no flavor and way overpriced. I'd suggest they shut the doors. Relleno looked like it was a frozen pepper with shredded cheese thrown on top then microwaved. Beef milanesa for $30 looked and tasted like a giant corn flake. Wasn't even a ribeye cut. What made the experience worse was manager trying to force me to put a tip on a company card when I had plans to place tip on a separate card by purchasing another item. He then tells me the waitress has to pay 10% of the bill either way as in assuming I wasn't tipping. Tried to strong arm me into placing tip on company card but didn't win that. I would not recommend this business at all due to how I was treated. Food is not worth it. Don't waste time here. Frozen Mexican food is by far better from the grocery store down the street

Quick and attentive service. Nice people and good food. Restaurant business is hard and these people know how to make you feel welcome.

Overall, the food was good but the service was lacking. We had a large group, eight people total. It took a good 15 minutes for them to get a table together, which was two tables combined. Fine by us, but they definitely aren't equipped for many groups larger than six. It took quite some time for our server to ask us about drinks, then we had to ask the server multiple times for us to ask if they were on their way, and we had to ask separately about chips and salsa. The drinks tasted good but you could tell they had very little alcohol in them. Food took some time to get to us, which was understandable since we had a large group. Everyone at the table was very happy with their meal. We ordered beef tacos, asada tacos, quesadillas, and they were all good. Overall, the food was good but the service wasn't great. I've heard from locals that it is the best restaurant in Tonopah, so we may have hit a weird day.

My friend and I had been out exploring all day and wanted to grab a late lunch so we stopped into this place. The food was mostly just mediocre. We started with guac, which was basically akin to the avocado dip you can buy at Trader Joe's and then defrost (oddly creamy). The taco with beef was fine, though the beef was a bit overcooked, the tamal was good, and the beans were perfectly fine, though the rice was a bit overcooked and hard. My friend is a pescatarian and apparently they couldn't make certain things with shrimp or vegetarian (despite having shrimp on the menu), which led us to believe things were premade. Anyways, it was very mediocre.

Good food stop when road tripping. Wait staff was very nice. Huevos Ranchos was tasty. Hubby liked the chicken burrito.

If you're looking for subpar, bland Mexican food- this is the place for you. Visited here once, and will never be back. Also WAY overpriced.

Hidden gem!! We were honestly shocked to find such a cute little restaurant here. It's crazy…read morebecause we've driven by so many times and never even noticed it! Now it's officially one of our must-stop spots whenever we're nearby. They have vegan options which is AMAZING!! The tacos (jackfruit + chicken) seriously took me back to those 2 AM taco runs from my pre-vegan days The salsa is actually spicy, not watered down, and sooo soo good. We also took a carnitas (jackfruit) burrito to go and WOW. So good. We seriously can't get anything like this back home in Washington. Definitely coming back! Thank you for having options for us Plus they have a Mexican grocery store. Fruits, dulces, tunas picadas (prickly pears), tortillas you name it!

It's a really unique grocery store and Mexican restaurant concept, and everything was extremely well organized and hygienic. I was especially impressed by the quality of the food and how clean and fresh everything was prepared. Not something you'd necessarily expect to find in the middle of a road trip on the way to Tahoe! They have a beautiful patio and a really nice interior, making it a great stop for a quick, authentic Mexican lunch or even just to grab snacks and drinks. They also have fun Mexican goodies like horchata and spicy drinks. Highly recommend the bowls, quesadillas, and burritos. Such a great road trip find!

They did have a dinner rush but still wasn't overwhelmingly busy feeling. The food did take a bit on the longer side but I promise it is worth the wait. We had the ribeye aguachile and quesabirria tacos. The only suggestion I have is the quesabirrias to be made with a different brand of tortillas if it's not their own. They're a bit thicker and once crisped they can have a tug bite on them. Wish the aguachile ribeye had a side of something to justify the price as it doesn't come with rice, beans or anything else. Besides that definitely recommend and will come back.

I genuinely hope they take this as constructive criticism, because there's potential here, and I'd much rather see a small business improve and succeed. I ordered the Burrito Ahogado with asada, and there were definitely some positives. Unlike several places we've visited in Bishop, you can actually come in, sit down, and order at your table, which I appreciated. The wet sauce had good flavor, and the rice itself was actually very tasty. Now for the problem: I ordered an asada burrito, but I'm pretty sure the rice ordered an asada garnish. The burrito seemed to be about 90% rice. For nearly $23, I expected the asada to have a starring role--not a brief cameo. I found myself digging through the burrito like I was on an archaeological expedition looking for carne asada. Every time I found a tiny piece, I felt like I should yell, "WE GOT ONE!" Unfortunately, the few pieces I did find were cut into very small squares and had very little flavor. I grew up in a family that made a lot of carne asada, so my personal preference is well-seasoned meat with some char on the outside while staying juicy inside. This was very different. I understand every chef has their own style, and I'm definitely not saying my family's way is the only way to make asada. But if I'm paying almost $23 for an asada burrito, I shouldn't need a search party to locate the asada. That said, I don't like tearing down people who are putting themselves out there and trying to build something. The sauce was good, the rice had flavor--maybe a little too much representation --and I do think there's potential here. I genuinely hope they keep working at it. Give that meat some seasoning, some char, and a much bigger role in the burrito, and this could be a completely different review. Until then, the rice is definitely the employee of the month.
