The restaurant has a rustic atmosphere with exposed brick and wood. There is not much room inside if you are waiting to be seated and they will maintain a waitlist for seats at the bar. I do like that the people working the host stand will take a drink order and a server will bring your drinks while you are waiting and that will be added to your table bill so no need to worry about paying separately for the drinks. The food is very good but most entrees are a-la-carte. Prices are high but not outrageous for quality steak cuts. The wine list is extensive but most of the bottle prices are very high. Both were delicious. The soup was excellent, and the mashed potatoes were clearly homemade, which was a nice touch. My only disappointment was that the steak was heavily charred--almost blackened. I was also surprised that the entrée was not accompanied by a vegetable. Despite those minor shortcomings, the meal was delicious, and Trevor provided excellent service throughout the evening. In fact, I suspect that because of the overly charred steak, the restaurant generously comped my coffee, which was a very thoughtful gesture. Overall, this was a very enjoyable dining experience. After experiencing the service firsthand, I'm very glad I checked it out before making any plans. The waitress was nice, but the service was extremely slow. From the moment we arrived, we waited a long time just to be greeted, and then waited even longer to order and receive drinks. When our friends arrived, they experienced the same thing. They waited so long that they eventually went to the bar to try to get drinks, only to be told that they had to order through their server. The problem is, when the server isn't around and you've already been waiting, what are you supposed to do? Unfortunately, the food didn't impress us either. I personally did not find it appetizing, and overall, the experience was not what I expected. I'm actually glad I visited before considering hosting a party there because, based on this experience, I would not feel comfortable renting the venue for an event. If you don't mind waiting a very long time for drinks, food, or basic service, you may have a different experience. But for our group, the service moved at a "molasses" pace, and I would not recommend it based on our visit.
