As you walked in, the restaurant is clean, vibrant, filled with colorful decorations and music video. I ordered 6 items: 1) Sopa de Pollo 2) Pork Pupusas 3) Chicken Tamales 4) Lengua Taco 5) Pescada Fish Taco 6) Fried Plantains. There were 3 different sauce bottles that were place on the tables. 1) Tomato vinegar base 2) Spicy 3) Green/mild. There were 8 varieties of pupusas but I chose pork. When it arrive to the table, it was piping hot served with a light vinegar slaw. The consistency was spot on and delicious. There are 9 selections for tacos but I only chose 2 which were lengua (tongue) and fish. The protein was generously portion, garnished with chopped cilantro and onions. I try the tongue by itself first and it so tender, melts in your mouth and so flavorful. I add some green sauce and boy it enhances the flavors even more. As for the pescado fish, I really want this to taste good but unfortunately it didn't because the fish was tilapia. The unique taste of the tilapia overpowered the entire dish for me. The fried plantains were delicious and firm. Sopa de pollo was absolutely amazing, that broth was so smooth and filled with umami but the quarter chicken was dried. The bowl of soup was served with fluffy rice mixed with corn and some hot tortillas wrapped in foil. I had excellent service from server Jossie L. She was very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. I would make a return visit to try other items on their menu.

We ordered cheese enchiladas, chile rellenos, asada tacos, a fajita plate with all the different meats including chorizo chicken and steak. Most of our group got rice and beans on the side which were pretty good. My issue lies with the cheese - instead of Monterey or shoot, even cheddar! They used some type of American cheese (like white Kraft slices) in ALL THEIR FOOD - that's right, ALL OF IT! American cheese on the beans, in the enchilada, in the chile relleno, and yes - EVEN THE ASADA TACOS!!! I was SO bummed. Other than the food that we'll never come back for again, the service was really good - our server was a young smiley gal - VERY sweet. She spoke both English and Spanish seamlessly transitioning when speaking with our party. The tables and chairs are covered in artistic decor that's very beautiful and decorative. The walls have murals of the Mexican flag and it's really pretty inside - great vibe all around. I got the impression this place was more of a bar hang out - though the drinks were 16$ a pop on special while the tacos were 1$ on a taco Tuesday - there were still A LOT of people sitting in at the bar. Looked like a good time. Someone in our group ordered a dragonfruit margarita and he said it was REALLY good! Well made. So I can see why people would come for the drinks. Unfortunately we will not be returning because the American cheese situation ruined the taste of 80% of the food.
