Hawaiian Burger
Nio W.

This place is wonderful. The food is always great. They are relocating to a bigger spot within the same plaza in a couple months and I look forward to eating there. It looks really nice and it's a new building. We got Mojara frita, fajitas texanas, and burrito "pony". We've also gotten the Hawaiian burger and beer battered fries as well as the quesadilla patron. The drink was a mango chile margarita. I love margaritas and like to try new or different flavors. The horchatas are always good but it would be nice if there was a larger serving of the drink. I've been here several times and the waiter, Camilo (sp?) seems to be the best one. There's another guy that seems pretty good too. They're always hustling and making sure everything is good. I've only had Camilo twice and regret not asking for him every time. It can make a big difference as you may expect. Today, the margaritas weren't as good but I'm not sure why. They usually are pretty good. Don't forget, there is a new location about to open up about a 1/4 mile from here and I can't wait to eat in it when they move over. The current one is getting a bit run down and is dark inside. Some of the tables are chipped and the bathrooms need a remodel and a bit more attendance. I prefer better lit areas and a chill ambiance. I will definitely come to the new location.

We went here on a Sunday afternoon around 5 and it was kind of empty when we arrived but by the time we left at 630 it was packed!! Our food was delicious! We had three classic chicken dishes, arroz con pollo, pollo asado, and one more that had chicken and shrimp covered in cheese sauce. All 3 were cooked to perfection. One of the better Mexican restaurants in the area for sure!

El patron is usually my go to but I ordered Tres Leches cake and it was gross because I could taste that it was in the freezer for a while. It was giving freezer burn and it made my stomach hurt off one bite.

My burnt, soggy, ripped apart corn tortillas.

I'm not one to write a complaint when it comes to food, but this restaurant does NOT care whatsoever... I paid $72 for my corn tortillas (which they only gave me 3 even though I ordered 6) to be soggy and burnt all at the same time... who knew that was possible... It's also $15 now for a thing guacamole. We called and told them what we got and they didn't care to apologize or anything. Customer service? Non-existent.. we order from there regularly (once a week) and now we will NOT order from there again..

Food is always pretty good. Service is top notch. Only thing I hate is that the handicap parking is so far from the door.

I ordered some food and the ground beef and refried beans was watery. You really couldn't tell the ground beef from the refried beans.

Great Mexican food at a good price. Servers are always pleasant, and if you order drinks they are fair with the alcohol.

My son was initially charged $34.39 for two frozen mango margaritas at the bar. Later, he went back up to the bar ordered one frozen strawberry margarita (listed at $15) and a tequila shot ($6), yet was charged $58.46. When I questioned, the female bartender about the price of a frozen margarita, and shot she immediately stated it was $15 and $6 stated that they thought the two earlier frozen mango margaritas had not been paid for. Obviously that was a false statement because they would've never allowed a patriot to walk away without paying for drinks from the bar this was just a way to justify them overcharging him. Although a refund was issued after I raised the issue, it was still inaccurate only $30 was returned instead of the full $34.39, excluding tax. Additionally, no apology or clear explanation was provided. This experience reflects poorly on the establishment's billing accuracy and transparency. Customers should carefully review their charges, as pricing appears inconsistent for identical items. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this establishment.

As you walked in, the restaurant is clean, moderate music playing, bar on left and dining room on the right. There were 5 items: 1) Queso Dip 2) Wings 3) Pork Carnitas 4) Mexican City Tacos 5) Pollo Yucatán. The queso dip was delicious and smooth. The wings come in three flavors and eight pieces in which I chose buffalo. They were very tender, juicy and delicious. The two entrees - pork carnitas and pollo yucatan were delicious too. Unfortunately the Mexican City tacos fell flat for me. Though the three street tacos has 3 variety of protein: grilled steak, chicken and carnitas topped with cilantro and onions, served with charro beans and fluffy rice. All of protein was bland, the charro beans were soupy but after adding the queso dip to the tacos, they were tasty. The server named Jeremy was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. I would make another visit to try other items on their menu.

I drive through this shopping center most of the time and was finally able to make a visit. Due to…read morethe icy snow, parking was limited in front and on the side of the corner lot but manageable. There's also additional parking on the strip mall side in front of Home Depot. As you walked in, there's a gorgeous bar on the right side and dining area throughout the restaurant. The menu has a big and variety of selections, I ordered 6 items: 1) Shrimp Empanadas 2) Lengua Taco 3) Chicken Taco 4) Pork and Chorizo Taco 5) Quesadilla Fajita 6) Xango. At each table, you are served with complimentary chips, salsa and a white sweet sauce. You can tell the chips were fresh, the salsa was a little thick with a hint of heat, just the way I like it. The white sauce, a little too sweet for me but if you combine them together.. perfect. When the quesadilla fajita arrive to the table, it was perfectly pan seared, the first bite was amazing. The chicken was very tender and it was accompanied by shredded lettuce, sour cream, cilantro and diced tomatoes. I wasn't expecting the size of those shrimp empanadas to be that big but okay, let's do this. They were nice and crispy on the outer layer but unfortunately the stuffing was supposed to be shrimp but I didn't taste anything because it was bland. It was served with white queso but even adding the queso, there wasn't much difference in flavor. When I order their tacos which you can also mix match so I ordered 3 different proteins 1) chicken 2) lengua (beef tongue) and 3 pork and chorizo with pineapple. When the dish arrived to the table, I was disappointed of how it was represented. All three tacos were stacked on top of each other as the proteins were falling out, the plate was too small and served with a ramekin of hot salsa and a mixture of diced onions, cilantro, lime wedge in another ramekin. The lengua and chicken were both so so tender like melt in your mouth. Wow!! Unfortunately the pork and chorizo with pineapple was unique but I wasn't able to pick it up like you normally would on a taco. Since it was on the very bottom, the flour tortilla got very mushy and I had no choice then to use a fork and knife. The flavor was different and it was okay. For dessert, I try their Xango which is a flour tortilla stuffed with a banana flavored cheesecake, coated with sugar and cinnamon, served with vanilla ice cream, and topped with whipped cream, chocolate drizzle and sprinkles. With all the components, this dessert was bland. There wasn't any hint of banana flavored in that cheesecake filling, and the only thing was good was the ice cream with chocolate drizzle. The restaurant was clean and had some decor throughout the dining area. My server Katherin was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Though a few dishes weren't up to par, I would still make another visit to try other items on their menu.

They have a nice booth area by the windows and a table seating area in the middle area. There are a few TVs around the restaurant that play sports games. There's a nice bar area on the right side when you first walk in. The servers are very nice. I believe it is family owned. Everybody does seem like they are there to help each other to make your experience pleasant. The food is good. You receive a fair amount of food for the pricing. My favorite is the fajitas texanas because it includes chicken, meat, and shrimp, as well as vegetables (peppers and onions). It is served with Spanish rice, choice of whole or refried beans, lettuce, sour cream and tortillas. It's filling and will likely fill you up. As a starter, I ordered a guacamole. It was very underwhelming. I expected more and even the dry cheese on top but it is what it is. The burrito and taco is from the kid's menu. It has pulled chicken inside the taco but you can get a different filling. It gets soggy relatively quickly though and kids don't usually eat fast (or at least mine don't). It is tasty. The burrito is simple and fine. It's a very decent amount for a kid. The Mexican cheeseburger & French fries is what you may expect at most places for a kid to eat. I wasn't able to figure out why they call it a Mexican cheeseburger though. I've had their quesadilla before (months back) and it was overly cheesy but it was a nice large size. I will definitely return here and I'm hoping to try their drinks from the bar soon during their happy hour times.
