My local go-to for my birria fix...Burritos, tacos, fajitas,and ramen ..all things birria with weekly specials.They have games to play and sometimes there's a DJ.The service is wishy washy I've never had great service but it wasn't bad.In the few months I've visited this location they don't have consistent staff but the food is good. read more

We were very unsatisfied with our experience at El Ultimo Trago and will not be coming back. We sat outside on the patio on a Saturday afternoon. We had to go inside for menus, and go back inside to order (bad sign, we should've left at this point). Waited 40 minutes for our food. When a different person besides our waiter (assuming the chef) came out with our food, we did not receive what we ordered. Assuming this was a miscommunication with the waiter. I didn't even get a water I asked for. We had to go inside to get silverware and napkins. Then we had to go inside to pay. Wow! Definitely the best way to start this review! My taste buds are still in shock! If you are looking for a place that is packed with flavor and has amazing Birria tacos..THIS PLACE IS THE PLACE TO GO! I am reviewing everything at our table because we were all taking bites from each other's food, we couldn't resist! Drinks: To start, for our drinks, we had agua frescas. They have Agua de Horchata and and Agua de Jamaica. They had a great selection of mixed drinks and margaritas. (We skipped the alcohol and tried the Agua Frescas both flavors) The drinks were so good and refreshing. I would love to see Agua de Limon and Agua de Pepino in the future! Food: The Birria Ramen...wow, this was served with cilantro, onions, limes (of course) and consume for dipping. This is served with two birria tacos that have delicious flavor and melted cheese making every bite have you saying, "OMG MMM!!!" The Ramen has Birria in it as well! To prepare it properly put the cilantro and onions inside the Ramen and then squeeze all the lime they gave you in it and enjoy! The Ramen was so good! The Torta Asada was so incredible! It reminded me of the tortas I've had in Mexico. The bread is so perfectly fluffy, and soft for the torta. The steak is paired with lettuce, tomato, mayo, and jalapeños in making it the best combination for a traditional style torta, packed with flavor in eat bite. The Birria Pizza was probably my favorite out of everything at our table. It is huge so share this with someone unless you take left overs, which is also ok too! Keep that flavor going on for your taste buds the next day! :) The Birria pizza has the consume cooked into the tortilla so it's immediate flavor to your taste buds. The meat and melted cheese combo is so delicious, you will close your eyes after every single bite, in amazement. The ambience of this place is fun and entertaining, but is also appropriate for kids. They have seats on the side so if you're just trying to go for a nice date night this space is perfect for that. The environment is designed for everyone! I really enjoyed the service we received from the lady that helped us. The owner also came over and asked us how the food was and my daughter had the pleasure of saying how amazing it was and how much she enjoyed the food. This is coming from a picky eater. As long as this review is, I'm sure you can guess that I will be returning to El Ultimo Trago in the future for sure and highly recommend everyone comes here to try it, you won't regret it! read more

The place was completely empty during lunch which should have been my first indication that my experiences wouldn't have been that well. We get seated and the server was kind. The food unfortunately was hit and miss. The tacos were good but the ramen was terrible. It tasted so bland, no flavor, and like mop water. I felt like going to the back of the kitchen and remaking it myself. The ramen wasn't fully cooked. I tried adding things to it to make it taste better and it just made it worse. The chicken tenders tasted frozen. I wouldn't go back here. The atmosphere is good but if the food isn't good, what is the point. read more

New Mexican sports bar and it's amazing! We met the owner and due to a traffic issue, their bartender was out. She made the drinks herself and the margaritas were top notch. We tried the birria nachos and added all the fixings. Great flavor and the consume really made the dish. We'll be back for the next sports day! read more

I was finally able to make a visit, so I took my wife out for a lunch date. It's located in Southpoint off exit 126, just behind Bank of America. Before you walk in, they offer outside seating. As you walk in, the restaurant is clean, a center bar, it's spacious with plenty of seats and tables, a sparkling chandelier and gorgeous floor. We ordered 4 items: 1) Birria Pizza 2) Dori Locos 3) Birria Ramen 4) Horchata. When the chips and salsa arrive to the table. You can tell they both were homemade. The chips were light, airy and lightly salted. The salsa wasn't your typical tomato base but rather a unique light orange, not overpowering heat but just right. When the birria pizza arrived to the table, it was somewhat precut for you but the slices were still connected which you have to use your golden utensils to separate them. The flavors were on point especially the consommé. The ramen birria had multiple condiments to add to your ramen bowl: limes cubes, cilantro/onions mixture and an extra ramekin of consommé. Also two birria tacos were included on the platter. The ramen had the perfect chew, absolutely wonderful noodle texture and immensely beefy. Both birria pizza and ramen were delicious and meat was tender. When the dori locos arrive to the table, I thought I was retrieving tacos when ordering but it was instead nachos. The menu didn't state it was nachos. But unfortunately this dish fell flat for us. The doritos were flat and not as salty as most chips. The chicken was bland. I even try adding the salsa and beans but didn't help. I didn't quite understand the slice cucumbers that were spread around the platter either. The highlight of our trip the their horchata. Unlike most horchata that we have tasted, this one had a much smoother, clean and silky flavor. When this drink it's your palate it's a hint of the old fireball candy, just without the actual candy. It was SO good we order another to go. Our server Lauren B was friendly, humorous and knowledgeable. We would make another visit to try other items on their menu. read more

This place is freaking AMAZING!! What an incredible find! Between the live music, games, pool, and the vibe, this place was a hit! The food was excellent-- the birria platter and chicken ranchero were both so good, not a single bite was left behind. Our server was fantastic and the owners were warm and welcoming. Our food was continuously messed up. The food all came out overcooked, steak overdone, rice mushy, and birria dry. Our server was the manager and did not get our orders correct. My dad asked about an item on the menu and she then ended up giving it to him before anyone else ordered. It's okay. It is not really "kid friendly." It's more of a bar atmosphere with food. We had a birria pizza, a torta and the kids had chicken tenders and a cheese quesadilla. The margaritas were okay, nothing special and the birria pizza just wasn't something that would bring us back. I enjoyed the torta, the bread wasn't as good as other ones I've had elsewhere, but still worth eating. Neither of the entrees came with a side. Saturday night at dinner hour. Big place, maybe a half dozen customers in the whole place. Bar was empty. It's a combination Mexican restaurant, sports bar and Chuck E Cheese (kids' games) and needs to figure out what it wants to be. Ordered a Cadillac margarita...tasted like the worst house margarita I've ever had. We ordered queso...eh...not terrible but Sysco queso. Service was okay.
