Steak Top Shelf Fajita Quesadillas**
Lauren-Ashley B.

Service is always nice and welcoming. Food is consistently delicious. The 2 times I've came with my boyfriend I ordered the steak fajitas quesadilla. Huge portions, generous on the meat and the steak is flavorful. The beans are good but needs a little more seasoning. Will definitely be back. Queso was good the second time we went and chips are always fresh and thin.

Always good food. Service was fast. Place is clean and the vibe outdoors was very nice for a Fall lunch with friends.

I haven't been to an El Chico in a long time and decided to come here with a friend for dinner. The service was great and our waiter was attentive. I ordered guacamole for the table and it's prepared in front of you. The guacamole was made nicely but could've went with a little less lime. For my entree, I ordered the mama's favorite enchilada dinner (one beef, one chicken) and it came with rice and beans. It is your typical texmex but I enjoyed it.

The story and Tex - Mex continues! Not many El Chico's left of the once dominant restaurant chain. Mama Cuellar herself would approve of this location. When in Rockwall Tx and you want original Tex -Mex , this is the place. You can still order by number . Had the Dos today , and it was very good . Decor and atmosphere enhance the dining experience. The smell of sizzling fajitas tantalizing!

El Chico is always a good choice for decent Tex-Mex. Not too many of these restaurants left and this one has been here and been solid for many years. The food and the service is always consistent and the whole family enjoys dining here. It would be nice to see the fountain flowing again, but I'm sure it was a maintenance nightmare.

Good fresh chips. Excellent service. The only negative was the food was more about presentation that quality. Overall, good experience.

Food was hot, tasty, and reasonably priced. The service was spectacular at lunch on a Saturday. We will definitely be going back.

Meh it's ok. The queso was great, but the tacos I had were not that good. Service was average.

Updated to 3 stars because the manager is a real sweetheart and reached out to us, it's not how ya screw up, but how you handle it.

A week later and I am still thinking about the delicious food and fantastic service! We didn't wait…read moresuper long for a table and the hosts were great. We took my dad to dinner and he complained that it was a little loud, but felt like we sat right under a speaker. I explained to him that it was part of the "vibe". Other than the volume making it difficult to hear, everything was fantastic. We probably could have asked to sit on the heated patio. The chips were warm and fresh and came with both red and green salsa, and both were super tasty. My husband asked if I could make salsa like that at home! We ordered drinks and they came quickly. I appreciated the quality of the drinks especially since we mostly ordered from their drink menu. We ordered "The Good Guac" to start and our server made sure that it wasn't too spicy or anything for my dad. I thought that was very thoughtful that she asked if how it came was ok. For food we ordered street tacos, Baja fish tacos and the parillada en fuego. The food runner seemed confused and brought us another dish (maybe the Verde molcajete) but with the loud music the message that we didn't order it was lost in translation. My husband thought maybe it was what he ordered and started in. Because our server came to check on us so quickly, she caught the mistake right away. She apologized profusely and said they were bringing what we ordered. They allowed us to keep the dish, and no sooner did we have a few bites of the deliciousness the correct food came out. They checked on us quickly, apologized profusely, brought the correct food immediately, let us keep the other food, sent another manager to apologize and finally followed up with coupons to return after making sure we were satisfied with how they handled it. I understand humans make mistakes, so I feel like the recovery or response is what is important. This is the type of amazing service that will keep us coming back. We were actually happy with the mistake as we were able to try another dish we likely wouldn't have ordered (but ended up being our favorite thing to eat). The ambiance was fun, parking was easy, the wait was reasonable, the service was FANTASTIC, the food was delicious and food/drinks were made with quality ingredients. We'll be back!

I have been twice. The first time I sat with friends at the bar and had dinner. The bartender was…read moresuper, friendly and attentive, even when busy. The decorum is cool if you like fake plants. Though they add cool lighting, which helps. Food, well I wish I could give it five stars, but my second visit confirmed my feelings about the food. It's super spicy, and the portions for the price are crazy small. Don't count on sharing. So, if you can go during a happy hour give it a try. Otherwise, there are better places for Mexican food.

You can tell they use the highest quality ingredients and everything was absolutely TOP TIER. The tortillas were so fresh and delicious. The creamy jalapeno sauce, guacamole, salsa, and queso were all PHENOMENAL as well. This was the perfect selection of dips for the thin, crispy, perfectly salted, chips! All of the proteins I tried (fajita steak and fajita chicken) were SO tender, well seasoned, and the ancho chili butter really set it all off!! I think my favorite snacks of the night were the empanadas and the beef picadillo tacos. The empanada crust was so flaky and buttery and the picadillo filling was so savory and absolutely PACKED with flavor! This is hands down the best Tex-Mex I've had in a LONG time! They need to bring a location to Frisco ASAP!! In the meantime, I'll just be counting down the days until I have an event that I can hire them to cater for. If you're blessed enough to live by their brick and mortar, or need Tex-mex catering, check them out, and enjoyyyy!!

We gave adios fajitas a shot after I saw people compare it to Pappasitos, which is my favorite! We…read moreordered the Medium combo fajitas that's supposed to feed 1-2 people. It's def not a lot of meat and was $40. So, depending on the appetite, I would probably order a larger size even for the cost to make sure you have enough. The meat was good but could've used a little more seasoning. It did come with a cup of melted butter that was nice. The sides were all good. The salsa was really good, probably the highlight for me. I also got a cheese enchilada on the side. It comes with a chili over it and it was good. So, with all of that said, Adios Fajitas was good but it's expensive for what you get. I mean a 4 oz queso was $4. 4 oz is tiny. Given their prices, I wanted to love it.
