I am so sad to report this place is flavorless. My husband found it and was so excited because they said home made flour tortillas. It was such a let downs every thing has no flavor and just not good. The prices aren't bad but even then the guacamole is like 90 percent what taste like mayo and 10 percent avocado. Sadly we have been seeing the quality of the food go down. We have been going to El Burrito for over 15 years but over the last year we have seen the quality of food go down. The tortillas use to be so fresh and delicious but tonight they were hard and dry. The burritos use to be fat and juicy, but tonight all the burritos were cold and not much filling. So disappointing. Don't sleep on El Burrito! This is a must visit spot in Redlands. Every time I'm in the area I make sure to pick up a bite to eat here! The evening rush can get pretty busy so if you can, try ordering ahead. There is limited outdoor seating in the front and also in the back. Parking in front of the restaurant is a bit cramped but fear not! There is more space to park behind the restaurant. The garbage burrito with Chile verde meat is AAAAAMAZING! The tortillas are superb, very fresh and not super thick. You can clearly tell the food here is made with love. The burritos are pretty hefty so I usually only eat half in one sitting. You can expect to have a full stomach after. I order my burrito with everything in it and they provide red salsa on the side which ads a subtle kick of flavor to each bite. read more

Well, after reading some positive reviews online I decided to try this el burrito restaurant. I ordered a steak garbage burrito with cheese, I'm sorry to say I was very disappointed. Very little steak in my burrito, maybe 4 pieces total, mostly beans and rice and taste less to say the least. This is like a Taco Bell on steroids. Will not be going back again. read more

Well I have tried to his place twice. First time okay but got the taquitos and bean and cheese burrito. Decided to grab a Chili Verde Burrito with rice and beans to go. Never again. Literally the worst "Mexican food" I've ever had! They had no limes or lemons! When asked why they said they never carry them. I asked if the they're actually a Mexican restaurant she said no we have Mexican cooks but not owners! Clearly you can tell by the product of food coming out! This is my first review, and I didn't think I would have to download this app honestly.. I don't want to judge a book by it's cover but the food tasted like the quality of the building. The service was alright, the wait time isn't long. I ordered a Bean, Cheese, and Rice burrito and it tasted like school food, and not the good kind... The cheese was not fully mixed in with beans and rice. For the meat choices, I saw ground beef mostly and other meats. Also, THE SODA, oh my gosh, it did not taste fresh. The soda tastes days old and does not have its usually carbonated taste.. Overall, the food tasted un-appetizing and like something I can make at home with half effort. Nice solid old school Mexican. A big standout is their homemade flour tortillas for the burritos. We had the ground beef/bean burrito and the #5 combo - an old school classic of ground beef crunchy taco with cheese enchilada and rice. Taco tasted like the meat was cooked in the shell. Updating my review from a few years ago. I grew up coming here often and loved the food. I went a few years without coming back due to moving out of the area. When I came back I had two back-to-back negative experiences here and stopped coming for a couple years. A few years ago I decided to give El Burrito another shot. Food was delicious as always, my order was correct, and I got my order in a timely manner. Over time I kept coming back and now El Burrito has been a regular place to grab a quick burrito. No idea how I had two bad experiences with this place back to back a few years ago but since I gave them another shot I've had nothing but good experiences with the many dozens of times I've been over the past few years. A Redlands classic. You either like the food or you don't. I always get the burrito special with onions and it's solid at around $8. Their salsa is hit or miss and depends on the day. El Burrito is the place you want to go when you are craving LA's Tito's Taco! The tacos taste the same to me, crispy, have lots of lettuce and cheese, and the burritos are very similar too. It has the same order outside window and far less crowded. I've tried two of the burritos: chili Colorado and carnitas verde. Both were good and I liked that you can choose to have it with only beans, only rice or both. The chili relleno was okay but not impressive. The salsa is similar to Tito's. The horchata is decent and flavored with mild cinnamon, so if like me, you want to taste a lot of cinnamon, you might want to skip it. The staff are friendly and even though you won't get a box of chips like Tito's, you can get a few in select dishes. The place has had a line the few times I have gone, but the wait was not longer than a few minutes, so the service is very fast. The food comes out in minutes too! Decided to give this spot a try when my parents asked if I could pick up some garbage burritos on my way back into town. Used to be a dating spot for them both since High School so held some nostalgia. Parking is very tight so we got lucky pulling into one open spot. The location pops up pretty quick so just be prepared to maneuver a bit. Placed an online order for 4 burritos and was a little worried when previous reviews mentioned to stay away from this spot if ordering online but everything was correct when it came to the food and just had to remind them of drinks.
