I've swung by this place four times on lunch and have enjoyed every food item I've received. The burritos are always a hit and very affordable. Today I decided to order online since my lunch break is short, but BE AWARE there's hidden fees on the online ordering platform. When you go to order, it shows tax and tip section with your total, but when you actually charge your card, it adds an additional service fee that it didn't show on the first receipt. I tried to explain this to the restaurant and they didn't understand. The lack of pricing transparency online is frustrating so I would highly recommend not ordering online unless you want to be charged two more dollars for a pick up order.

Heading South on Kolb one Tucson morning on my way from one place to someplace, I was in the fast lane, about to move into the left-turn lane at 22nd, but I saw the "El Brunch Bistro" sign, so instead I veered right, across a couple lanes (safely, no cutoffs. Of course, blinker on!) and into the drive-thru for my first visit. The Chilaquiles Rancheros ($11.99) called to me, so I ordered them from the friendly voice in the speaker. I opted for over medium eggs and both red and green sauces. The window service was prompt and courteous. I was where I had been heading to in the fist place 5 minutes later, food still hot. Eggs were perfectly medium, still, the chips had good texture, and the sauces were flavorful. The portion to price was smaller than expected, but I'm still ok with it. I will definitely go back and dine-in another time, it it's nice to know the to-go option is there.

The green sauce on the chilaquiles divorciados is amazing. Spicy with great flavor. The employees were super friendly and accommodating.

There's a separate building you can buy local retail, as well as a café where I ordered a dirty Horchata (not realizing it had coffee lol), a sandwich with fries, and one of the baked desserts (a brownie with something I can't remember lol). All the food was great. As a french fry lover, I have to say that the fries were fantastic! Once you order, you're able to find a place to sit, and the food is brought to you. I would def return!

I also love that the menu strives to be locally sourced. The food is very fresh! The service from the counter is fairly fast, which was especially great for us, as we were short on time. This time ordered the Simply Eggy Breakfast. The marmalade was unique and the eggs were perfectly poached. The portions are standard, so there will likely be no leftovers. For the portions though, I would say the price is a little on the higher end. To finish my friend got a tahini brownie on the way out and we found it to be very pleasant and not overly sweet. I would love to try their coffees and teas!

This is…read moreone of their two Tucson locations--the Campbell Avenue spot, with the other on Grant Road. It's a very casual place staffed by kind and welcoming students, and the food is genuinely good. The Smoked Salmon Beni stood out in the reviews, and it did not disappoint when I finally got to try it. I'll be attaching a photo, but it tasted every bit as good as it looked. I also noticed the shaved steak sandwich on the menu and in several Yelp photos, so I'll definitely have to come back and try that next. I really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, friendly service and overall character of the place.

These Pastries Should Probably Be Illegal…read more Prep & Pastry has been serving Tucson since 2014, and after eating here, I completely understand why they've built such a loyal following. This review is only about the pastries because the rest of their menu deserves an entirely separate review. The first thing I noticed was how incredibly light and airy everything was. Every bite felt fresh, fluffy, and perfectly balanced. The frosting wasn't overly sweet, and nothing tasted heavy or overwhelming. As I've gotten older, I've become much more conscious about what I eat. Surprisingly, these pastries never leave me with that "I shouldn't have done that" feeling. They're indulgent without being excessive. Now let's address the real issue... I always buy two. Not because I'm planning ahead. Because I know exactly what's going to happen if I don't. I'll eat one in the parking lot, sit there for a minute pretending I'm satisfied, then make what is almost certainly an illegal U-turn and head back inside for another. At this point, I believe the owners should stand trial in a savory Food Court of Law. Dun... Dun... "In the Criminal Food Justice System, pastry-based crimes are considered especially delicious. In Tucson, the dedicated foodies who investigate these sugary felonies are members of an elite squad known as the Special Pastry Unit. These are their stories." Prep & Pastry is guilty of making "I'll just have one" the biggest lie you'll tell yourself all week. Whether you're stopping by for breakfast, brunch, or simply because life is better with a great pastry, this place delivers. WIT Inspection Score: -- Truly Among the Best.

I wouldn't say that it is top of the line cooking, but it is very delicious and definitely worth a visit this side of town. Parking can be a little challenging, they do share a parking lot with other businesses, but close in, there are not that many spots. Service is always friendly and makes you feel comfortable. Interesting atmosphere with flamingos galore and other things decorating the inside. Gives it somewhat of a party and fun feel. Food comes out in a timely manner even when they are very busy. Prices are reasonable. Give it a try, I think you'll like it. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

(well once in taste, but I'll get to that) They have great in-house made items. Like the Challa bread, the preserves, their pesto. They most certainly know what they're doing. I had unseasoned filet mignon once, I believe it was the omelette. I talked to the manager. Now I wasnt upset, didn't send it back, I just told them what I experienced and mused that I found it odd the cook forgot a simple thing like salt. The manager acknowledged my complaint and that was all; or at least I was fine. Nope, she came back with a to-go box of croissants topped with cream and berries as an apology. They were tremendous by the way. She didn't have to do that. The ambiance is it's only weak point, but even that is minor. Simple black is fine. It's modern feeling and doesn't stand out loudly. They have outdoor seating, which early in the morning is fine, but id avoid in the summer, which will likely mean you'll be waiting, depending on the time. Oh! I forgot to mention, they have very good drinks. They really are intentional about the blend of flavors, they have a little something for everyone. All in all, I cannot recommend this place enough.
