Food is good but when it comes to their red and green sauces, they're extremely stingy. I asked for both when ordering and then when my food was ready to go, I asked if the sauces were in there. The young girl looked me directly in the eyes and said, "yes they're in there." Well... they weren't. So, she basically lied straight to my face or she just isn't doing her job right. The food here is fresh and I have ordered multiple times, especially now that we need to support local businesses, as local PR mom, i am very disappointed at the poor customer service from the front end ladies working there. They have an attitude and treat you as if they were doing you a favor by serving you. It is not necessary especially if someone is being polite to you. They forgot to add something to my order instead of apologizing and saying how can we make it work was well yeah it was part of your order if you want come back and get it or we will add it to your order next time. Disappointed. This is a chain, that poses as an authentic mom and pop. Guacamole is frozen gourmet, salsa is Tostitos or might as well be it tastes exactly the same. The meat in the burrito tasted like it came out of a can. I couldn't believe all the good reviews this place got. Shows me that a lot of people have not had real authentic Mexican food. Went here on Saturday with my girlfriend to order some lunch. This establishment is right off a main road, so you have to park in a lot further down the street, but it is not a bad walk at all. Inside is a little tight so I would recommend eating here only if you're with a small group (1-2 people). On this day, we ordered 4 tacos (2 chicken & 2 steak) & chicken quesadillas. We were told that our order was going to take about 15 minutes, so we quickly ran out to do some errands & by the time we got back, it was ready for us. The food was amazing, easily the best Mexican food that I have had. Both the chicken & steak in the tacos were very fresh & the corn tortillas that they were in were crunchy as well. The quesadillas had just the right amount of cheese in them & also had plenty of chicken too. This order also came with hot & mild salsa & sour cream, adding even more flavor to it. My family placed an order from El Azteca yesterday because we were excited to support local business in conjunction with #YelpsBigNightIn, and we are so happy we did. The business was busy too, so many people coming in and out picking up food safely one at a time. We ordered chicken enchiladas, chicken chimichangas, grilled tilapia, rice and beans, and guacamole and chips. Everything was good. No one even spoke while they ate. I ordered the guacamole, 4 tacos special and tres leche cake. The overstuffed tacos (choice of seasoned beef, grilled chicken, steak and tongue) were really good. The seasoned beef was my fav. The guacamole @ $6.95, although plenty, could've used less tomatoes & onions and more guacamole. Needed salt, but fresh and made to order. Really disappointed. I'm never going back to this place. For starters, I had placed an order on the phone ahead of time; they said a 40 minute wait. I got to the place 40 minutes after ordering, and then proceeded to wait an additional hour until I got my food. I had ordered a burrito with rice, beans, cheese, sour cream, and guacamole. What I received was a burrito with rice beans cheese tomatoes, and avocados (I hate tomatoes, it ruined the entire meal for me). It wasn't even good. Total waste of time and money. read more

Burrito was solid.....BUT BUT pay attention to what they do with the giant bowls of salsa they give out to everyone for the tables. After people use some they put them back in the cooler to be served to other people. What if someone is sick and breathes/sneezes on it? What if someone decides to double dip? Delicious authentic Mexican food! I'm not big on meat, so I was happy to see many meatless options. I ordered the vegetarian burrito and we all shared some nachos. The burrito is huge, I could only finish half. The nachos were super cheesy and layered up. Dining area is small, so in the future I probably just order as takeout. I've been here a few times and I just went last night and they completely redid the place so it is much better now if you sit in and eat. My Boyfriend and I usually each get a burrito and I always get the grilled chicken one. However I'm not sure what it is but something in the burrito makes the tortilla very soggy; which is unappetizing. Their tacos are good however it would be nice if they added some more items besides the meat, onions, and cilantro. The staff is great and accommodating, I have literally tried just about everything here. Go for the empanadas as a starter, they are delicious and my favorite is their steak dishes. This is a very good, authentic casual dining option. I have eaten here but I would say most of their service is take out. We love their guacamole and often just stop to pick this up.
