    Drinks! Mostly frozen margaritas.
    Laura F.

We drove up to Powell tonight in search of, well- really anywhere we hadn't eaten at. Decided to try El Asadero. Its a bit south of Powell road and off Sawmill. Large stand alone building, plenty of parking We walked in,it sounded like a night club... it was even dark inside. Instantly my eyes were drawn to the very tall glowing object. Oh my God, this ten foot lit up thing was dancing and interacting with guests! It was so hilarious and fascinating all at the same time. Ron asked me if I wanted to go-cause it's not normally my scene.... But I was hooked. I had to see what that robot thing was... So, we sat down in a booth, fully intending on just ordering drinks. Why- because I heard they come with sparklers (seriously This is what made me want to come here lol) I really wanted that experience. However the waitress said most of the margaritas are frozen. I'm not a fan of frozen margaritas-I like them to be on the rocks. So no drinks tonight for us We thought about leaving but we stayed as the food that was passing our booth all looked amazing The place was packed it just had to be good right? I looked at the menu I decided I'll just do the combo. I chose a burrito, a chili Reno and a chalupa. Ron got a mango chicken. I have to say the mango chicken salad was the star. It was one of the best looking salads I've seen for a while, and it tasted extraordinary, highly highly highly recommend! As for my combo: my burrito looked like an enchilada on steroids. It was delicious. My flauta was my favorite. It was huge. It was big enough to be its own entrée and the chili Reno was a good size and it tasted fine. However I didn't like the breading. Wouldnt get that again While we were waiting for our bill, the people behind us got the tower of margarita which is exactly what it sounds like. It's enough margaritas for 4 to 6 people, super tall and guess what it has sparklers!!! so I was happy. If you're looking for a fun time and good food, I really recommend this place. I have to say the Mexican food they serve was really good. I would go back there 100% for sure. If you decide to go ask for Arianna. She is an excellent server.

Didn't realize this place changed from don tequila til we pulled up but no worries. The decor is very bright and colorful and it was decked out for Valentine's Day. First off I have to say that the menus, both the drink menu and the food menu are BIG. Almost overwhelming lol. Took me like 10 min to choose a drink. And the drinks are crazy. A lot come out with dry ice and they do it up for birthdays. We had 7 people and the service was pretty quick. A few items took alittle longer (and it's stated in the menu to give time) like our friends seafood pasta and another's birria tacos. Both were very worth the wait according to them. I tried the birria consume and it was amazing. I'll get that next time. I got the steak fajita nachos and they were really good. My husband got the chicken and chorizo and it was delicious as well. The salsa was really good too. We will go back for sure. As we were paying they were starting interactive karaoke lol. Not even sure what that means but the first song was in Spanish and it was a lot. Sooooo loud does NOT need to be that loud in a small place. The second song was a Teddy Swims cover and she nailed it. Just so loud.

What a fun Mexican restaurant. Bring all your friends and have a fun time and enjoy good drinks and food. We arrived in time to see the dancing robot. What a concept and everyone loved it. We also got to see them serve a margarita tower. Wow. I ordered the Tropical Mango Avocado Salad with chicken and loved it. All the ingredients were super fresh. They had quite an extensive menu for food and really fun cocktails. All the food looked wonderful. Our server was very pleasant and very attentive. Overall I was impressed and enjoyed the evening. This would be a great place to bring several friends for a fun dining adventure. I can't wait to go back again.

This was great! Very good food and vibes, and the drinks are just too cute for words. We ordered a lot of things but everyone's favorite was the carne asada plate. 10/10 will order this again with margarita. I want to go when they have the robot-man dancing. Their overhead lights are super bright which wasn't my fave, but it looks dimmer from photos in other reviews. The service was wonderful too and they were really nice

Great atmosphere in here. Greeted at the door with a smile. Saw spots at the bar and headed in. Dinner menu, drink menu along with chips and salsa arrived quickly. Chips were warm. Salsa had a nice smoky flavor. Then Lucia came around for our drink orders. A few minutes later the fabulous drinks arrived. Thought I got a drink and a fruit plate with all the fruit on the rim. Of course I ate it all. Dinner arrived and smelled wonderful. I got the Pollo Santa Fe. Big chicken breast, shrimp that were grilled and flavored well. Jalapeños had a nice kick when added to the dish. The taquitos looked amazing. So colorful and my wife loved the flavor. Thank you Lucia for taking such good care of us!

Shots were ordered somewhere in the restaurant.

We went to this Mexican restaurant based on my friend's previous experience. And I stand by her recommendation. Decent size dining area and very large menu. Friendly staff which is always a plus. All of the cocktails are served with flair. My margarita was garnished with fruit and a miniature pig. Go figure. When shots were served, a transformer looking person came out and danced around the restaurant. It became like a mini rave! I enjoyed the fun. Chips and salsa were good. If you like hot salsa, you will have to ask for it. For my entree, I got the molcajete. It was a large serving that can't be eaten in one sitting. The beans were better than the rice which was a tad disappointing. Also disappointed I didn't get any tortillas with my order. There is a churro cart that goes around but didn't get a chance to try it out since we were stuffed. Overall the menu was priced well and the food tasted good. I will definitely come back hopefully to try the churros. Tip:: One of my friend's is a vegetarian and said this menu had many options. Plus they have coupons!

Exemplary Saturday night!! We came for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed the vibe and food!! So many speciality drinks with beautiful presentations. We got the table side guacamole ... almost perfection .... We like a little less salt but you can tailor all the ingredients. We weren't paying attention. Lobster fajitas were a happy order. We had plenty to take home Service was decent. It was busy. Enjoyed the dancing robot

What else can I say about this place, this time I decided to get out of my routine and order something else than my regular and they did it again!!!! what a delicious meal, I enjoyed every bite of it, is a huge portion (it's not cheap) but I think it worth the money that you're paying for it. Just come over here have some fun and don't forget to have some food as well. As always, the ambience and service is spectacular.

Great food, the fajita meats are cooked over the charcoal first and have great flavor and char, the marinade on the pastor was great , nice and savory. I had the Cali Burrito with pastor and tried the Chicken Fajitas, both would definitely have again. And couldn't miss the table side guacamole. But of course the real flash are the crazy drinks - wild, fun over the top presentations. Overall a delicious and fun meal!

The drinks are amazing. I had a passionfruit margarita that came with a piece of candy. I went here on. Tuesday and they have taco specials. A basic taco is $1.99. This is your choice of meat, cheese, and lettuce. The complimentary chips and salsa are fresh. Two tacos were enough for me.

Parking was easy since there is a free lot out back and there is a decent amount of street parking nearby. The server asked us if we would still like to come in and get some drinks and hang out until food was ready. We decided it was worth the wait. Our server was incredibly kind and attentive. She even brought me a bag of ice for the milk I had to pump during the meal. We ordered some drinks and talked for a little while and she came back promptly at four to take our food orders. I ordered the seasonal salad, which had an incredible house made peppercorn vinaigrette, Delicata, squash, mixed greens, blueberries, walnuts, and a few other things. I also got a side of beer battered fries with Housemade ranch. Everything I got was five stars. I will honestly be dreaming about that salad and wish they sold the salad dressing by the bottle. I kind of regret not asking for something to go. My sisters enjoyed spinach artichoke dip, a burger, a pizza, the salmon dish, the hot honey brussels sprouts, the nonalcoholic wine, a strawberry lemonade, and a cocktail. The prices were pretty good, especially given the quality of food. The restaurant got pretty busy throughout the night, so it seems as though it is a fan favorite in the area.
