Burned bacon, egg & cheese bagel
Mel M.

This location is one of my favorites & I stop in with my VP atleast once a week to grab bagels for our team. We stopped in last Friday to grab late breakfast to tied us over during a 3 hour meeting. We weren't going to make it to lunch at our normal time and this breakfast was heavy enough to last us. I was super annoyed to find out everyone's bagel was burned. Why serve us something like this ? The person that cooked this bagel wouldn't eat it and would likely toss it. It was too late to return for a refund or new bagels due to our meeting starting. Unfortunately, we went thru the meeting hungry. Check your order before you leave. When cheese melts, it still retains the yellow color, my cheese was orange. I did however enjoy the exceptional customer service from our cashier Jalen. Highly dissatisfied...

Ok sooooo ... pre Covid this place had a great store manager.. friendly and helpful and always working hard to serve the customers... NOT SO MUCH NOW Went to grab coffee last month(review is late because I complained to corporate and was waiting for a response... imagine this- NEVER got one ! So here it goes at 1230 the employee (I assume manager) was Locking the door I asked "excuse me are you closed?" she said nothing I asked again "ma'am do I need to leave are you closed?" she responds with -"no we close at 2." Someone tried to come in the door so I went to the other door and opened it and wait for them to come in assuming maybe she just wanted everyone to come in and out one door before the people got to the door the door shut and locked behind me and they were unable to get in the store they decided to leave another couple came up to the door and I was sitting back in my seat by now and I told the employee your customers are trying to get in the store she yells NO!! Obviously not feeling comfortable in the store I decided to leave I'm sitting outside trying to finish my coffee( which by the way she had already dumped all the coffee at 12:30 so I couldn't get a refill) I decided to Sit outside - even more customers were coming they were confused the sign says they close At two why are the doors locked at 12:30 ??! I decided to take a picture of the hours of operation when I did it she noticed me came to the door and unlocked it by now it was 12:50. A woman went in and came promptly out asked her why are you leaving so fast?? she said I was told that I couldn't order anything hot because the ovens are off there was no coffee and unless I just wanted to try bagel she couldn't help me... WHAT???! So with that being said I will take a HARD PASS on this location.

Serious shortage in the bagel department today - 1/1/2018

My wife gets an Einstein Bros gift card from her boss every Christmas. We brought it with as we set out on our errands on this first day of the new year. When we were in Southlake, I checked to see if EBB was open. It was, but I was shocked at the yelp star average. Two! Really, two? It can't be that bad, can it? No matter, we have the gift card. Well the Nova lox bagel catches my eye. Thuy goes for the "Croque Melvyn - Thick - Cut Bacon, Ham, Cage-Free Eggs, Swiss, Raspberry Jam, Mustard Shmear on an Egg Bagel." Sounds pretty good. Only one problem, no egg bagels. So Thuy subs in the asiago (same as me). I also order a coffee. The first thing that bums me out, no raw (turbinado) sugar for my coffee. No major thing, but it's what I like, and it's what every other place that serves coffee seems to have it. Our food comes up, and my L&B is pretty good. No complaints. Thuy agrees (we swapped halves). I'm liking the Melvyn too, but think it would be better on the right, egg, bagel. Then Thuy notices something is missing from her Croque Melvyn. It is devoid of the raspberry jam, one of the key selling points. Initially I was leaning 3 stars, but now, all things considered; the lack of bagels (see picture), no turbindao sugar, and a botched bagel, well all I can think is, "Meh. I've experienced better." And that's where I leave this review, at two stars. It wasn't horrible, but it did not fulfil expectations either. Bottom line: Lox and bagel was decent, the rest was disappointing.

Unfortunately each time we have stopped by this location, they are out of so many things. One instance, they were out of nearly every bagel except for cinnamon sugar hours before closing. I have foind this location to be one of the worst Einstein's around, which is a shame because it is the only one that is close by.

Literally it's a shame how the two closest Einstein locations to me battle for the worst shops! Picked up a dozen bagels and as you can see from the picture looks like I got a dozen rolls ! On top of that there was no election and this was a Sunday at 11:30Am !

Really... did you REALLY think I didn't want cream cheese... did you REALLY NOT THINK TO ASK BECAUSE THIS LOOKS SO DUMB?!

This is the only Einstein bagel in the area that waters down their orange juices tremendously, why do they do this?

I made a mobile order and swung by on my way to the airport. When I walked in, it wasn't in their mobile order stand and there was no one at the counter. I waited a short time for someone to come from the back, and my sandwich was ready, but sitting packed up, behind the counter. Why have a mobile order pickup area of you don't use it? I ordered the turkey bacon avocado. It is a bit cheaper from the other chain sub shop in Grapevine, and I was interested to see how they matched up. First off, they added my pickles. I like pickles and it can slip past people's attention, as it is not a standard topping. The bread was soft and the sandwich was a good size. The bacon was nice and crispy, but I found the filling a little skimpy. The turkey was completely lost. The strongest flavors were provelone and bacon, but it is essentially a turkey sandwich. There just wasn't much of it. Nor the veg. Lettuce and tomato were just barely present. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't GOOD. Long gone are the days of $5 foot longs, but I do expect more for an $11 seven and a half inch...

I met there with friends and we each had something different. The waffles looked fluffy and stacked. I had the avocado toast-added eggs over medium and bacon. Generous spread of avocado on just right textured brown bread-not too thick or thin-or soggy-could handle the toppings.the bacon was crispy and crumbled over the avocado. The eggs-medium-perfect!!! It was served with a small arugula and cherry tomato salad!! YUM!! One friend had the lemon ricotta pancakes which were not as tasty as she expected. The la Parisian breakfast-scrambled eggs, bacon, home fries, and a huge croissant was delish. Large Bacon slices and nicely scrambled eggs-very nice. The mimosas were generous and served with a strawberry garnish-we had the pomegranate. Very refreshing and did I mention generous!! The coffee was replenished without prompting. My husband's coffee, the saddle, nice, mild, not too strong, not too sweet, proper iced latte. On the other hand i ordered a cappuccino, basic, easy, shot of espresso and shot of steamed milk. I ordered it wil almond milk which results in less foam, from experience i know is more a latte than a cappuccino but thats to be expected. I got drip coffee with splash of milk in it. I asked my husband to check to make sure i am not out of line. He agreed with me. It was 12oz coffee with a splash of milk. None of that would be an issue but when i asked the barista/employee to remake it I was met with so much unnecessary attitude, that it repelled me to ever come back. I was told "I told you it has less foam with almond milk, that is literally not a drip coffee, it's from the espresso machine". I was stunned, not by the words but by the tone. I just walked away, not worth the time and effort to explain (from the photo you can see the color of my "cappuccino"). Overall: good food, great bread, coffee 50/50. Probably wouldn't go out of my way to go back. P.S. My ratings are based on whether I believe I could make a better or healthier version at home. If food/drinks/ service impress me, I'll be happy to come back. If not the stars reflect that.

We enjoyed eating the Jumbo Chili Cheese Dog, Char-Grilled Maxwell Street Polish Sausage, and the Char-Grilled Polish Sausage. These are all the hot dogs we typically order. We're not fans of the Italian Beef Sandwich nor the Big Beef Sandwich; they typically have a lot of gravy in them. The Char-Grilled Italian Sausage Sandwich wasn't worth it. If you side the gravy and don't add peppers (an extra charge), you'd literally just get the bread and the sausage. The fries and onion rings are usually mediocre, but it's good served as a meal.
