Good sandwiches and a nice place to eat. I can't recall if the dessert was good or not

Food: great, homemade style, delicious. Bread was devine, burrito very flavorful. Coffee: Well that's a story. My husband's coffee, the saddle, nice, mild, not too strong, not too sweet, proper iced latte. On the other hand i ordered a cappuccino, basic, easy, shot of espresso and shot of steamed milk. I ordered it wil almond milk which results in less foam, from experience i know is more a latte than a cappuccino but thats to be expected. I got drip coffee with splash of milk in it. I asked my husband to check to make sure i am not out of line. He agreed with me. It was 12oz coffee with a splash of milk. None of that would be an issue but when i asked the barista/employee to remake it I was met with so much unnecessary attitude, that it repelled me to ever come back. I was told "I told you it has less foam with almond milk, that is literally not a drip coffee, it's from the espresso machine". I was stunned, not by the words but by the tone. I just walked away, not worth the time and effort to explain (from the photo you can see the color of my "cappuccino"). Overall: good food, great bread, coffee 50/50. Probably wouldn't go out of my way to go back. P.S. My ratings are based on whether I believe I could make a better or healthier version at home. If food/drinks/ service impress me, I'll be happy to come back. If not the stars reflect that. read more

I discovered this amazing place a few months back and came back in today for my free birthday sandwich which is absolutely yummy! The workers are nice and helpful in answering questions on customer favorites. The fresh bread here is so good and there's a large selection to choose from. I bought a s'mores loaf of bread to take home and I can't wait to try it! They have a lot of cute seasonal breads in the shapes of trees and gingerbread men that would make great gifts! This is a Southlake gem you must visit! read more

I had seen a Great Harvest Bread in another area and kept talking about visiting them. I found out there was this location closer to home and gave them a shot! I really enjoyed the chocolate muffin that I got, its a nice hearty muffin. My husband liked the raspberry muffin, if I'm recalling the fruit correctly, as well. My kiddo like the caramel cookie that he grabbed. We also have a loaf of bread at home! Bonus points is that I've found out they are on Too Good To Go, that helps reduce food waste, and you get a lot at a discount! We had taken our food to go, as it was a quick in and out grab, but I for sure want to come and try them out for dine in. It has a bit of a bright and relaxed vibe. We have been going to the Southlake store often. We have always enjoyed the food and staff. Until today. Someone on the staff thought it would be a good idea to be extremely rude to my wife and me. I recommend the ownership look into the staff. Make sure your customers aren't more polite than your staff. One of your employees made sure we will not return. read more

The bakery items, breads, muffins, desserts are great. The sour dough bread cannot be beat. Service is friendly and prompt. However the sandwiches are not a good value. They are small with very little meat. I counted two very thin slices, one each of ham and turkey. At nearly $13 I found the sandwich way overpriced for what you get. I hope the new ownership considers making the sandwich a bit more hearty. read more

Not the best experience for my for my first time at Great Harvest. I ordered on online for curbside pickup but when I arrived there was no instruction/ posting/ or I'm here signs so I parked and walked in. My GPS took me to the back of the building off Carroll Rd, I didn't investigate the front parking lot for their pick up system. Inside, it's a nice coffee slightly industrial decor. Open and attractive with a variety of jared items. I walked to the counter where two ladies were working. No signs for online pickup but you can see bags placed on the counter so I stood by those- for a while. Despite making eye contact with the front counter ladies and the ladies making sandwiches their eyes quickly diverted from me before I could say "pickup" so I, being polite, stood in line behind patrons ordering, waiting for my turn to grab the bag with my name on it. Once at the counter I gave my name, was handed a bag and was quickly dismissed. First impression- customer service and making people feel welcome is not their strong suit. Ok, so back at work time to dig in and ugg. Although I ordered the turkey goddess but what I received was the turkey comb over. See picture. Onions that bunched in the middle and Turkey that favored the right side this was not the making of a well proportioned sandwich, and it made me that much more irritated in the intentional ignoring of customers back at the counter since it doesn't seem they were taking care in the preparation the customers meals. I had the garlic bread, it was soft and held up well. The other order was the chipotle beef, although I didn't try it it was described to me as a collection of every flavor jammed into one. One of those flavors for you ask what kind of meat is this? And not in a good way. Recommend this establishment, create some signs for online order, pick up, to include parking signs for those picking up in a vehicle at either door entrance or get rid of the option for vehicle delivery if unable uphold. A little bit of customer service would also go along way. If the 15 year old at Chick-fil-A can do it, I would expect the same or better from a more mature staff. read more

Today was the first time we tried Great Harvest Bread Co. in the 6+ years they have been in Southlake. I was looking for someplace that had great cinnamon rolls and their place came up so we gave it a shot. We started with breakfast sandwiches - mine on their cheddar garlic biscuit with egg, ham and provolone and Rich's on sourdough with egg,bacon and pepper Jack. Both were really good - actually, the biscuit was wonderful - and we would order them again. The problem with the biscuit is that it immediately crumbled so my sandwich had to be eaten as a deconstructed sandwich. Still good but not quite the same. The menu also says scrambled eggs but mine were definitively not scrambled. Same taste but wanted to mention it in case that is important to you. The egg also needed salt and pepper and once that was added it was great! We tried their raspberry white chocolate scone. It was tasty and I think it would be so awesome with a cup of hot tea! We were so lucky to get there when we did because we were able to snatch up their last cinnamon roll. It wasn't the ooey gooey roll I had in my mind, but I think it is in the top 3 I've found in the area! It was made with their cinnamon chip dough. The icing was so soft and smooth - not melted down and into the roll but rather sitting on top. The roll itself was soft and pillowy, which I loved! I will definitely have one again! We bought a package of their "mini cinnies" and I look forward to trying them to see if they taste the same as their larger counterpart! My iced chai tea latte was meh. I asked for it to be super strong but it wasn't. There was much less sweetness and more spice than I enjoy but if that's the flavor combination you like you may very well enjoy it. In addition to the "mini cinnies", we purchased a loaf of bread, some honey cinnamon whipped butter and a couple muffins and cookies. I haven't tried any of it yet but look forward to sampling everything! Food wise, I'd say it was about a 4.5, knocking it down 1/2 star because of the chai, but again, that is personal preference. The person at the register had no personality and seemed a little irritated when we asked questions, I don't know if it was because she is used to repeat customers knowing the ropes or what but she wasn't pleasant. Not mean or rude - just not pleasant. I removed another 1/2 star for that experience. Sorry but no pictures the time! read more

Sometimes a good sandwich is the best kind of comfort food. So, when my wife and I found ourselves at an odd time of day waiting for other activities, and a bit hungry, we stopped in at Great Harvest. The place has a real relaxed, farm, bakery vibe to it. We decided on a chicken salad sandwich on a honey wheat bread. The chicken salad was moist and flavorful and it was nicely topped with fresh tomato, lettuce and a perfectly thin slice of red onion. All of the flavors blended well. The bread was fresh and cut to the right thickness for a sandwich. So, all good. Service was attentive as would be expected with a fast casual sandwich shop. I can't rave enough to give it a 5 star rating, but a solid 4 star seems in order. If a good basic and well executed sandwich seems like a good thing for you, then do not hesitate to visit here. read more

Needed a quick, good meal at work. Foodsby to the rescue! I ordered a Cold Turkey on sourdough and a cookie. Order arrived on time and the sandwich was really really good! I actually marveled at why can they make such a great tasting cold turkey sandwich and I can't?? It MUST be the bread that made this so good! The cookie was pretty good, but the sandwich was the star! Oh... and the pickle spear gave a great solo performance! Great value and great service. I have been eating here for years ... sometimes I've loved it, and sometimes, not so much ... for a while the tea was not fresh (in my opinion) so I stopped going but it's good again lately .... some of the staff are friendly and some not so much ... I like crispy bacon on my salad and lately it's cold and chewy ... I like crunchy croutons and the last 2 weeks they have been hard and kinda chewy - I requested new ones 1x and they told me they were made yesterday so there's a problem somewhere - croutons should be crunchy. I love the overall feel of the restaurant but feel they could use a deep clean - I've felt this way through each owner, not just the current one. read more

One of the managers Ever went above and beyond when I redeemed a free reward for a dessert by surprising me with two instead of one when I had trouble deciding. I got my food to go and didn't know what he did until I opened the bag after they had closed. When I called the next day, Siti continued the amazing customer care by helping me figure out which employee it was who helped me! She had a lot of patience and was very caring. Tried out their Yardbird salad with chicken for a weekday lunch. The greens were perfectly crisp and fresh, and it also came with roasted nuts and chickpeas which provided a nice texture with every bite. I love raisins and cranberries in a salad, and this one came with both, so it gave it a sweet respite when needed. There's parmesan cheese also included as a topping. The avocado dressing that came with it was just generic/bland, I'm afraid. I'd have loved to see some twist, maybe a little bit of heat or spices or hold it all together? The chicken was bland and dry. A nice marination and a few minutes less wouldn't have hurt. read more

So if you like good bread this is your go to place. This isn't the bread you get from the super market, this is bread like what my grandmother use to make. I picked up a kid and I was like "whew, that's heavy!" It was dense but if I tell you it made some great sandwiches, it made some great sandwiches! Now I read about folks talking about how they are there, I didn't have that pleasure. I went in, was greated (which is always a plus in my book), asked if I needed any help, I asked questions and they gave great answers and I made my purchase. Came from Fort Worth and saw the good reviews. Walked inside at 10am on a Saturday and the place was empty (expect for the flies). Ordered an iced vanilla latte and mocha latte. Both so flavorless. Tasted like watered down milk. Cashier highly recommended the breakfast sandwich that comes with some garlic type butter. I asked for extra crispy bacon. Sandwich came, super dry with no "garlic butter" and my bacon was stretchy and soft. Wish I would have made my coffee and breakfast at home. NOT WORTH $34!! I often come hwew to get their delicious fresh bread (sourdough, honey wheat, cheddar are my faves). In the past, they had samples so I was able to try asiago pesto. I don't want to get a whole bread if I al unsure I would like it. The staff is friendly and even chatted with the owner John a few times. He was kind enough to let me try some rolls. It was huge and very filling! Now, I will let you know my guilty pleasure: cookies, brownies and cinnamon rolls. I literally would get some just to save it for morning coffee or evening tea. I have tried their coffee back when they had happy hour. I would be sure to always have their bread to share with neighbors or a few slices in the freezer. Their bread can be eaten alone or ever so slightly toasted for avocado toast or a smear of pate. I must say that I had their sandwich with their fresh bread and it was also tasty. Now more than ever, I support small business that are skilled at their craft. You always see bakers rolling and shaping pounds of dough. So do yourself a favor, eat real good bread (not the who knows how long bag bread at the store) once in awhile and you will appreciate the difference read more

My husband and I had a good lunch here today. He had a bbq chicken sandwich on cheddar bread, and I had the turkey goddess sandwich on sourdough. The bread was amazing and I really liked the avocado goddess dressing. My husband liked his sandwich too. They have Deep River chips which have unique flavors and they set great and they also carry Maine Root sodas which are always tasty. We got a cinnamon roll to go for my son to try later and it looks and smells amazing! They had a little market area with tons of fresh bread and other goodies like honey and maple syrup and homemade jams. We will be back! read more
