First let me say, I love love love the lox and bagel at Einstein's. It's delicious - when it's done right. I've stopped going to the Einstein's in PB because they cant seem to get an order right. They for forget the capers, or there is the smallest piece of lox ever. Anyhow, when in Santee, I decided to get my lox - and it was seriously great! Finally! I love bagels. But if you don't have bagels then you can't sell bagels and I don't eat bagels. This is the worst run shop around. Always out of bagels that you want. Wretched i don't go often but I've had a gift card, when I do go it's usually a bad experience but today was bad enough to complain. When I walked in the line ended at the door there were 14 people in front of me, it took more than 10 minutes and less than 15 minutes to order. There was one girl taking orders, 1 girl and there was one unsmiling face at the other register to the left where they take your money. Did I say 1 girl taking orders? There were two other women behind the counter with the one lady taking orders, they were putting together toasted or cooked orders. while i was standing in line for those 13 minutes I noticed those 2 ladies were just standing there quite often doing nothing but chatting. When I finally got close to the counter to order the lady in front of me ordered 3 dozen bagels the girl taking the order had to get that order (two other ladies just standing there) while the only order taker filling a 3 dozen order. I looked back and the line was out the door. Its not like this sometimes it's like this all the time but today just was over the top. No manager? Manager has no eyes? Manager is willfully ignorant? This was at 9:40am I finally left with my toasted bagel at 10am. I've used up the gift card i won't be back unless I get another gift card. read more

I went to Einsteins to pick up my lunch this morning. Ordered my regular turkey, bacon & avocado on a potato bun w their yummy potato salad then went to pay. I remembered that i gave my son my card for gas last night & he didn't come home, so i didn't have my card to pay! I tried to stop my order & the manager said not to worry & she took care of it! Slooooooow. I arrived this morning and there were three people in front of me including the one that was ordering. I waited 10 minutes in line before I decided to leave because, in that period of time, they had only helped one person. Now I understand when they get large orders with dozens of bagels but this was not the case. The one person they helped ordered a bagel and a drink. The next person they helped ordered their six bagels then the counter person decided to try to upsell them cream cheese, toppings, drinks,etc. There is a fine line between helping a customer and just being obnoxiously slow. This crossed that line many times over. read more

I agree their service is slow and they seem to get confused easily. However I usually order the 'bucket' of bagels, so it doesn't really matter. I love the taste and selection of their bagels and schmears. The Chai Tea Latte is very tasty too. read more

Always a good place to grab a bagel anytime of their open hours! Cinnamon sugar bagel all the way!!! They seem to have just remodel the inside, it looks super awesome. Maybe next time I need a coffee and breakfast down in my part of town, I'll head here. They have a table bar with about 2 plugs per person, I like thattttt! read more

The people were nice and the coffee was good. But the food tasted like plastic. Bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel had no flavor. No salt, no spice, no life. Not much to say here, the food is ok nothing superior nothing bad, the staff is curt but kind and the tables are usually kept pretty clean. They close early, so be warned not to be sad if you find closed doors after 3pm. Almost the entire time they are open there will be a slight line, but it moves quickly enough with no major delays. They just reopened this location after a remodel today. I love the high chair island in the middle with power adapters galore. Free wifi, as always. Bagel quality has never been an issue for me at this location, or lines, but I also come here in the afternoon and not in the mornings. They exampled really good customer service today - my birthday has passed since it was during the remodel, but they honored my free birthday bagel. It's a convenient location right at the trolley stop with plenty of parking. Definitely will be a long time customer here. read more

One of the dirtiest places I've been too, I'd drive out of my way to avoid this store. We stopped in here for an impromptu lunch and we were very disappointed. You could visibly see crumbs/grime on tables and dingy walls. It was pretty clear the staff wasn't interested in cleaning as they were standing around ignoring the mess that existed. Towards the end of our lunch we did see a manager go over to the drink/napkin/condiment area and wipe off a counter - after she dropped the cleaning rag on the dirty floor of course... This location is the worst, the manager needs a wake up call. read more

I LOVE this place. Bagels are fresh, tasty and there is a lot of variety. But Joaquim is really what makes us coming back. He is super polite, always in a good mood and treat every single client like a friend. The other day, my daughter dropped her bagel on the ground and he refused for me to pay it. She got another one for free, on which my mom put cream cheese. Second cruise that Joaquim saved us from. The coffee is the best and its location right by the trolley is super convenient. read more

This place's service is so bad. During morning rush they typically have 2-3 people working. Inevitably, long lines get halted so one of the 2 employees can make an elaborate coffee drink. Managers are typically restocking coffee or napkins. Makes it so I can't come before work because just grabbing a quick bagel to go can sometimes take 20-30 minutes. read more

I love this place. They have a great variety of bagels and Im a fan of the thin bagels they came out with. Generally speaking MOST of the staff is great, just 2 or 3 people give terrible service. The bagels were stale and the customer service was lacking today. When we walked in, the middle aged female manager stood her ground behind the register and simply said, "I'll help you over here." No hello, no good morning, not even a smile. It took us 15+ minutes to get the coffee we ordered, and when the manager lady gave us the coffee, it was simply, "Caramel Macchiato," with a straight face. No "sorry," no "thanks for your patience," no smile. We expect better service and, frankly, a better product when paying $17.50 for 6 bagels, cream cheese, and a coffee. This is the best einstiens I have been to!! I work right next door at Petsmart so it's super convenient but I will definitely go out of my way to come here when I'm not working. Lisa is the home girl and she always remembers me and remembers my drink. Even after I left Petsmart for a few months during school, when I came back Lisa still remembered exactly what I like!! This was my first visit to this location. Very poor customer service beginning with my phone call to place order, and when I went in to pick it up. I'm assuming the lady who got my order was the manager or supervisor. She scolded the other employees right in front of me and other customers in the shop. Unacceptable management skills! This was my second visit to this location. My experience today resulted in a delicious breakfast, but sub-par service. I was greeted in an unwelcoming manner by the employee who ultimately helped me. When my breakfast was ready, someone called my name but made no effort to clue me in as to where she was (a wave would have been nice). She had to call my name 3 times before I could figure out where she was and where my breakfast was. While Marco Polo can be a fun game, I prefer not to play it when I'm hungry and looking for my food. To pick up my food, I had to cut in front of other, not very friendly customers to get to it (not very convenient). I can only imagine what it's like when they're really busy... In conclusion, if you like good breakfast with a side of bad service, this is the place for you. read more

Went there on a Sunday morning while my dogs were at the nearby Petsmart. I was able to order quickly and by bagel with cream cheese was ready quickly.
