The service was excellent. I observed the cashier and other employees being friendly and respectful to each customer that came in. Upon taking my order, the worker was respectful and let me take my time looking at the menu. They also answered any questions I had. The price for a bacon, tomato and egg bagel was $9. When it arrived, I was a bit surprised as it was smaller than I had expected (the pictures make it look larger). The taste was OK, but there were some spots where the egg tasted bad or old. There wasn't much bacon or egg and it certainly didn't represent the picture displayed on the menu. The sauce was a bit spicy, and only seemed to be put on one side. Overall 3 stars for the food itself and 5 stars for the customer service.

Tasty Turkey Sandwich with extra spinach, no lettuce and sub veggie schmear.

The Tasty Turkey sandwich toasted with extra spinach and no lettuce is my Holy Grail sandwich. This location makes it perfect! Although the store is usually busy, they are helpful and nice.

I only came for some bagels, only wanted the blueberry and raisin bagel. Nothing else and it hit the spot. I didn't buy the honey almond from here because Walmart sells the same one but bigger size for cheaper! There was a small line but went by fast. Friendly service too.

6-CHEESE bagel w/cream cheese smear

for years I went to Einstein Brother's every Sunday after finishing the New York Times crossword puzzle (in ink) for an everything bagel with lox. eventually, I switched my bagel of choice to jalapeño-cheese, toasted. was in the neighborhood again with a hankering for one of those savory doughnuts so I stopped in to grab something to eat. place was pretty crowded and the service was slow but nobody should be in that big a hurry on a weekend. it's time to stop and smell the cream cheese, right ??? the bagels were good but I would be less than honest if I said they satisfied my craving. after visiting Russ and Daughters in NYC a couple of summers ago, nothing else really compares. question: why do ALL the bagels spots around these parts cut their red onions in huge, thick slices? put down the machete (or more likely the weed whacker) and invest is a slicer for god's sake. it'll save on food costs, the flavor will still be there, and customers won't be burping those nasty, raw onion burps the rest of the day ...

Applewood Bacon & Cheddar Egg Sandwich with Twice Baked Hash brown.

This is my (First Time) ordering online with this Einstein Bros. Bagels. I placed my online order on the Door Dash App on my Apple IPhone XR for my breakfast meal today. I wanted to eat a healthy and delicious breakfast. The Einstein Bros. Bagels fits this description perfectly! The Einstein Bros. Bagels bakes their Bagels with all types of flavors and their bagels are always very fresh every morning. That is great for me their new customer to know. I ordered (5 Items). These items are as follows: 1 x Applewood Bacon and Cheddar Egg Sandwich. The price is $11.32. My choice was the (2 Cage Free Eggs, Applewood Smoked Bacon on a Plain Bagel and one Twice Baked Hash Browns) with melted Cheddar Cheese filled inside. I also ordered one package of the KETTLE Brand Potato Chips with the Sea Salt. The price is $2.26. Then I ordered a beverage . The Cold Brew in the Vanilla flavor in the (small size) cup. The price is $5.55. For my desserts: I ordered 2 Pastries. The first one was the Strawberry & Cream Strudel. The price is $3.77. My second dessert is the Apple Pie Pastry. The price is $3.52. The subtotal was $26.42. The Delivery Fee was $7.99. Since I have a Dash Pass Membership with Door Dash, my delivery fee was waived and there was no charge. This is a really high delivery fee. The Expanded Range Fee was $1.49. The Service Fee was $1.32. The Estimated Tax was $1.12. I also received a $5.00 Discount off of my total Einstein Bros. Bagels Order yesterday. The Dasher Tip I had chosen for Carlos was $6.00.My total bill was $31.35. My order arrived on time from Carlos my dasher driver to my home. I had to reheat my breakfast bagel and the two pastries. Every thing that I ate yesterday was very flavorful. These 2 desserts the Strawberry & Creme Strudel and the Apple Pie Pastry was very yummy! I received excellent customer service from the Door Dash Delivery Company. I highly recommend the Einstein Bros. Bagels Shop.

My wife and I love the bagels they taste so fresh! Staff is friendly. Casual quick breakfast spot. Weekends are busy I recommend coming early.

Ashley and team awesome customer service. She was so busy but still gave respect and attention to each and every customer. I appreciate her still smiling while being short staffed or just extremely busy. I love their cheddar jalapeño bagels with plain cream cheese and today I tried it with brisket. I don't like eggs so I had it with plain cream cheese, the cheddar and brisket (it was a little salty but still good). Place is always clean and always has a line but worth the wait. I also had some of their delicious freshly squeezed orange juice and a wonderful chai tea latte.

Honestly, we pay $1.99 extra for smear and this is how the bagel looks? $1.99!!!! Not to mention, driving out of my way for a delicious bagel. Either don't charge so much or put a decent amount on the bagel. It's the 3rd time this happens. I had not gone in a while because of last time but I decided to try it 1 more time. The bagels are amazing.

Egg and cheese. No bacon. In the economy you can't afford to make orders wrong if people are spending so much money for a bagel.

Einstein Bros. Bagels Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Einstein Bros. Bagels

Do they have alternative milks for their coffee drinks?

I wish they did, but all they offer is regular milk or cream. Maybe they will consider almond milk or soy milk as additional options for those of us sensitive to dairy products.

Was wondering what the situation there is at the Oceanside Einstein Bagels, as far as take out, under the gov't business closure? Are there any options to eat onsite at all, like on the patio, or is the entire space inside & out closed to dining?

As per requirements, there is no dining inside or outside. You can order your food to go.

The shop is small, located in a strip mall, but you can smell the fresh, house-made bagels as soon as you walk in, which is always a good sign. The menu is simple but has everything you'd want: fresh bagels, toppings, and hearty bagel sandwiches. They even feature a bagel of the week. I went with the cheese jalapeño bagel and ordered "The Notch" (lox, cream cheese, tomato, onion, and capers). I asked for mine open-faced, which was an extra $2.50 on top of the $18 price, but that's about what I usually pay at home, so it felt fair. The portion was generous with plenty of cream cheese, thick slices of tomato and onion, and a healthy serving of lox. The bagel itself was very fresh, though I was expecting a stronger jalapeño and cheese flavor--it leaned more bready than bold. The toppings definitely carried the flavor. Hopefully, that was just an off day for the bagel itself. One downside: some of the toppings are displayed openly in a case, and we did notice a couple of flies, which took away from the otherwise fresh, clean feel. The shop has a few small tables and a casual setup with a drink case and coffee bar. Staff was quick, efficient, and helpful, though not overly conversational. Overall, Golden State Bagel is a convenient stop for a fresh bagel sandwich, and while I wasn't blown away by the bagel itself, the toppings were excellent and the location is very handy.

I assume they make a certain amount and when they're gone they close and that's probably the way most places do it. Donuts were good, not greasy. I'm not a big donut person so they were ok and comparable to most places that don't have a greasy donut that leaves that oily taste in your mouth. What I really came for was the ham and cheese croissant but it was a little disappointing. Prices were actually much higher than I was expecting. We paid almost $20 for a ham and cheese croissant, blueberry cheese danish and 6 donuts including a cinnamon twist thing that I assume was supposed to be more than the others but I can't wrap my head around $18.30 for what we ordered. I legit think she charged me for 15 donuts instead of 5 cuz I saw something ring up as 15. Based off that I can confidently say I won't return. Items werent worth what I paid and if it was an error charge, the employee should have known that what I ordered was not close to $20 so I cant recommend this place

I also have to mention their croissants, which are excellent. I love all of their locations. The Carlsbad spot has a slightly more extensive menu -- especially with the pizzas -- but the Encinitas location is just as good and always worth the stop. I compared their regular butter croissant with other "French" ones, and this one wins by a huge margin: airy, fluffy, just enough sweetness. They recently expanded in their main location, now you can get a sandwich, coffee and pizza. They also collaborate with other local vendors and you can find some unique items in their fridge. The vibe is so cool too. Friendly, chill, California style. Highly recommend this place, or their other locations.
