The Southern burger was great, but I tossed off the raw onions as I absolutely hate them, and added the lovely pickled onions from my wife's salad, which gave the perfect amount of flavor and color. Don't you agree? Give me a LIKE if you do !!! The crepe was next level. Delicate crepe, very soft ripe bananas, sauce was not disgustingly sugary, and the vanilla ice cream was smooth and soft, not icy and sweet. Dunno what brand they use, or if they churn the cream fresh in-house, but it made my day.

There are lots of delightful restaurants there (according to yelpers) but many were located downtown and parking was hard to find so we decided to go to Fifth Avenue Streatery since we had driven by and there was lots of parking. All of which the tables are outside on a charming patio with lots of interesting decor. It was 11:30 so the day was pleasant and sitting outside was fine. Not sure how I would feel about that in August. Our waitress was Haley (guessing at the spelling) and she was bubbly and very attentive. The menu wasn't overwhelming and I always think that's a good sign that most of the food is being prepared fresh and not pulled from a freezer. My mom ordered the fish sandwich with tomato and cucumber salad. After ordering the Italian Haley said they were out of beef until the owner arrived so I went for the day's special which was a seafood basket: two pieces of fried fish, four huge shrimp and clam strips. Clam strips are not my favorite but these were very crisp and tasty. It was served with fries and cold slaw. We both agreed the food was very good. I asked for some cocktail sauce and after a few minutes she came back with saying she had to make some. It was fantastic, very horseradish forward which I loved. I am glad we couldn't locate our first two choices since we got to eat at this funky little place and have the best server in all of Mt. Dora.

My only hesitation on going back is it's kinda high priced. But it's very popular among people in the area and offers a huge variety of selection. But if I'm paying almost $20 for a meal, I don't like eating off plastic or styrofoam. That's just me. Otherwise, good decent sandwich and tasty soup.

Comes with side of tomato soup (in a sauce cup) which was refreshing and bright and this spicy mayo (I assumed) which was soo good and a bit smoky. The only thing about that sandwich is that I was expecting to have kimchi in it and I only found it to have this purple cabbage which isn't kimchi so kind of misleading. My boss had mac grilled cheese (the one with ribeye) and said the macaroni made it a bit blend so for more flavor you should probably go with classic grilled cheese sandwiches. He also complained about ground beef in his sandwich so if you expect cut pieces of ribeye I guess that's not what you would get. I had a good experience with my sandwich though except kimchi! The location is really cool and hipsterish. Outside seating is the best part! Service was fairly quick (within 15 minutes).

Had a late lunch on a weekday while exploring the Mt. Dora downtown area. When I arrived, clearly…read morethe lunch rush was coming to an end, so I got to sit in the corner. Asked for a water immediately, and set my things down before going to the restroom... which was clean, easy to find, and well stocked, so zero issues there! Hehehe..... When I returned, I had a water and the bar menu as well as the lunch menu waiting for me. I ended up getting the Crooked Can/Frog and Monkey collaboration IPA, which was lovely. I ordered the turkey and brie sandwich, because reading it on the menu outside was what had originally drawn me into the restaurant, and a cup of the French Onion soup rather than getting the fries that came with. The soup was up first, and it was delightful- nice, hardy chunks of onion without being too big/sliding off my spoon, a well developed broth, and a fantastic amount of cheese. The sandwich was lovely, great slices of turkey and decently sized pieces of brie and apple to go along with it. Unfortunately, when I went to get the second half of my sandwich, I noticed what looked like a dark beard hair on it.... as I was dining alone, and my long hair was tied up, definitely not mine. I called over my server, and I pointed it out to her... she asked if I wanted to have a new sammie or get it taken off the bill. I asked if I could pay for the soup, since I had finished it, but not the sammie and she absolutely agreed to that. I wrapped up my meal and left to keep going on my day. Everywhere has issues occasionally, but this was handled well, so I will mention it, and I do knock off a star for this visit, but I am still willing to try again if I am in the area.

My sister had the prime dip and I went for the turkey brie - both were delicious and super satisfying. Service was great too - everyone was friendly and welcoming, which always makes a difference. There is a parking lot right next to the restaurant, super convenient. The place is cozy and has a nice size bar area. Definitely recommend if you're in the area!

Cons: Not a single con. A great little visit. Tips: The menu has completely changed since we went, which is good, so I can't recommend any specific dishes. Wow! What an amazing meal!!…read more I arrived on a Sunday afternoon at 12:30pm, and unbeknownst to me, had just beaten the rush hour crowd that was lined up out the door when I left at 1:30pm! This place is a cool, converted house. I was led through the downstairs dining area, up the stairs to the second floor, through the second floor dining area, and into an adjoining room - the "Bar". This was one cool room. It consisted of several comfortable sofas on one side of the room, a few high top tables alongside a bookcase wall, and the attractive dark wood bar that could accommodate about 8 people. I was led to a high top table next to a wall of bookcases with all types of interesting literature, from novels to Encyclopedia Britannica. Almost immediately after sitting down, I was greeted by my server "Bre". She gave me a menu and took my drink order - coffee ($3), black, and a glass of water, TYVM. She returned within a few minutes with my coffee and water. The coffee was very good. For an appetizer, I decided to try their Irish Whiskey Onion Soup ($8), and for my main course, I went with their Cashew Chicken Montagu Sandwich ($15). My soup arrived and the "eye appeal" was only surpassed by the amazing taste! Caramelized onions, Irish Whiskey broth, and with Swiss and mozzarella cheese, this was absolutely, no doubt in my mind, The Best Onion Soup I've ever had!! I was just hoping no one was watching me eating it as it was a bit challenging with the long onions, but truthfully I didn't care because it was so good! My Cashew Chicken Sandwich arrived next, and with a dreadful feeling of an impending "let down" after such an amazing appetizer, I was just blown away after taking a bite of this masterpiece! Perfectly cooked, moist chicken breast with a cashew crust, brie mornay, cranberry-apple relish, on a brioche bun! Did you all see the photo I posted? Just Amazing!! So, after two home runs in a row, I'm thinking to myself, Who can come up with such amazing combinations? I mean seriously, What type of Mad and Brilliant Chef do they have working in the back kitchen?! Ha! (I'm sure the Chef isn't "Mad") I've hardly mentioned the Service, but Bre constantly checked on me, refilling my water twice, and my coffee three times, all the while asking me how I was enjoying my meal. The service couldn't have been any better. My only regret is that I had absolutely no room for dessert and I know it must be excellent Take this to the bank, For one of the best meals you can experience, come to The Goblin Market Restaurant! You can thank me later. 5+ Stars!! Hours of Operation: Monday Closed Tues-Thur. 11am-9pm Fri-Sat. 11am-10pm Sunday 11:30am-3:30pm
