I went to try Einstein Bros. for the first time and was left with a pretty bad first impression. I placed my order online, which was kind of a hassle already btw. I tried checking out as guest and it won't process my card, yet when I signed up as a member it actually went through. ? Anyways, I placed a pick-up order for garden avocado egg, ham cheese egg, & an order of hashbrown, but after picking up I went home to find a completely different order in my bag. I decided to drive back out to them, and on my way I tried calling the store so I can let them know I'm going back and hopefully they could prepare the right order ahead. However, noone answered. Called a second time, it kept ringing. At this point I was really noticing a poor service at this place, especially after just being there and knowing there were multiple employees at the store but not one can pick up the phone. So, I got back to the store and told one of the girls I recieved the wrong order, & I said everything is in there so she can check it. She doesn't do that. Instead she confirms my name, looks at the receipt and went back to their screen to double check the order I placed online. She came back to me to say that it was showing the right order, totally misunderstanding what I was telling her. So I had to explain again that I got a WRONG order. She finally checks the bag and it clicked to her. -_- One of the ladies, whom was probably the manager was apologetic and put an extra raisin bagel in my bag for the inconvenience, so that was nice at least, but the experience already left a bad taste for me. As far as the food, it was alright. The bagel was rubbery in texture, not exactly fresh. The tomato sauce in the garden avocado was very minimal too so the flavor didn't even stand out at all. I wasn't impress with the bagels to say the least. I did like their twice-baked hashbrown though. So there. I went and tried, but I'll probably be continuing to go to the mom & pop bagel shops instead. read more

I'd give this place 2 stars. The service was fast even though the lines were long I only waited about 10 minutes for my BEC bagel during a busy time. The ambiance is nice, with clean tables and a well-organized space. The staff were also helpful and polite. The downside was the bagel itself. The eggs were overcooked and dry, and they didn't even have ketchup, which was surprising. The coffee was okay not bad at all, but nothing special. I've been here twice since it opened and it's good. I order using the app and it's happened both times where I'll pick a bagel type for my sandwich and then when I get there they'll ask my name and look for my order and it won't be ready. Then they'll say, "We were out of that bagel did you want to choose another one." It may not save you time if you mobile order depending on what they have in stock. Also, parking here is not ideal. They have a few spots for pick-up only in the front, but I've been by twice and ever since they opened it's like the parking lot in that section is full. There's still a large parking lot to the right of the building, but you have to cross one of the main driveway's to get to the store. Other than that, I'm a fan of their breakfast bagel sandwiches. I've been coming here pretty frequently since it's on the way to work and you can get a coffee and bagel sandwich for $8. A typical sandwich is more than $8 so it's basically a free coffee each time. I usually go for a different type of bagel, but I'll opt for bacon and American cheese. They're about 85% consistent because there have been times where I get swiss cheese or cheddar cheese, and I always opt for the melty American cheese. I've never heard of Einstein Bros Bagels until my girlfriend told me that it's her favorite bagel spot. I saw that they were opening this one up so I was excited because it's pretty close to home. I went the first week they were open and ordered a half dozen bagels with a side of strawberry shmear. I tried their plain, everything, cinnamon raisin, and blueberry bagels. Everything was so good that I finished it the day of. I went for the second time this morning and ordered their Maplehouse Signature Egg Sandwich with a blueberry bagel, lightly toasted. That sandwich was amazing especially the honey almond shmear. There were no hiccups during my two visits which was surprising only because they're still in their early opening phase. You can order via the app but it has an estimated time of 15 to 20 minutes in the morning and you can pick-up your order on the left side of the store at the designated shelf area. However, I went this morning during a busy rush but my food came out within 5 minutes. Don't mind the line because it goes by fast and there are plenty of people working at one time. Parking is a challenge because there are several stores in this shopping center along with a trampoline park. The parking spaces are also small so there is hardly any room between you and the car next to you. I ended up parking on Houston Avenue, which is a small street before you turn into the shopping center entrance closest to the freeway. There are 2 hour parking zones, which is plenty of time. I ordered the All-Nighter Egg Sandwich on a jalapeno bagel, and it was pretty good. I wish the bacon was more crispy though. The drink sizes were a little annoying because you can only order a small or a large. We ended up ordering a small iced tea and it wasn't enough. We asked to see if we could get a refill but we had to buy another round. This location used to be an H&R Block so the layout feels a bit weird in there. We went on a Saturday in the morning and we didn't wait long to order, find a spot to sit, and receive our food. I don't recommend Doordashing from Einstein Bros. They have a pick up station, similar to Chipotle's, and they do not have the drinks set up on the shelves. I think the dashers need to go to the counter for drinks, and when I ordered, they forgot my coffee. Also, the food doesn't keep warm, so it's just not as good. read more

In-general, I like Einstein Bros Bagels. I first started going to this brand years ago, then took a long break. Recently, started going to the relatively new Fullerton location. It's a nice place. A couple gripes, though; one related to the product line and one a training issue at this location. If I remember correctly, Einstein used to have salmon as one of its schmears. No longer. Hopefully, it one day returns - good stuff. As to training, could you please have your employees not grab the coffee cups in a fashion where their fingers touch the inside of the cup. Came here the other morning before work and I haven't had Einstein in maybe 2-3 years ! I was excited that they opened one close to me. We had the farmhouse and the maplehouse bagel sandwiches! I remember them being better when I first had them. But the pictures they promote in store look nothing like their sandwiches which I guess is just how advertisements go. It still tasted good. I felt a little rushed when I got in there the girl kept asking "are you ready? Are you ready yet?" And it made me panic that I just ordered the first thing I saw. Their sign had fallen and it made every employee focus on fixing that issue so I felt like when I went back In line to get a coffee to go the guy made it really bad. This place is beyond amazing ! The customer service was spectacular. We were down here for our Disneyland vacation and door dashed the food and we had the greatest meal. Our children devoured their bagels and they are highly picky! We loved it so much we went the next day on our drive back home and had a wonderful experience. Also I ordered the egg sandwiches and they don't toast the bagels, their spreads don't have much flavor and it doesn't help that they hardly put any in the sandwich. The bacon they use it's obviously old boy cooked fresh, frozen and then barely reheated. I tried this place gave it two times and ordered different often and it's just not good for me. When I saw there was a location here in Fullerton I had to come here with my hubs to get my favorite cinnamon sugar bagel with honey almond shmear! This location didn't disappoint, the employees are always smiling and so friendly. My favorite employee here is a young lady named Emily that usually works the cashier, she greets you with a smile and is so sweet to talk to (when they aren't having a huge rush). Been waiting for this spot to open, as I love bagels! I came on the grand opening and the place looks great. I ordered the nova lox bagel (bomb) and the blueberry bagel with cream cheese (also bomb). Food all came out in a timely manner. I can't wait to try more things on the menu. Side note: If they could serve the nova lox bagels in some sort of container or plate. That'd be amazing. I haven't had Einstein bagels for over 8+ years and was so excited to take my dad in to try it for the first time. It was his first ever experience and I'm sad to say the customer service let me down. There were only two other people in line and two cashiers were open. I let the family ahead of me go first since my dad was still checking out the menu and variety of bagel flavors. The girl at the register did not have a smile on her face and did not greet us at all, my dad had questions and she was very dry, to the point and I would say borderline condescending in her response. After he ordered his bagel and I was about to order mine she quickly told me the total speaking over me trying to order. Then when I said "I'm going to order a couple more" she again...with attitude spoke over me ordering to ask "half or full dozen". As someone who worked in food service/retail/ customer service for years it makes me sad to see this attitude especially as the front of house representative. Also as a fairly new establishment to the area if the store isn't busy you should be anticipating new customers with questions and meet those questions with friendliness even offer menu suggestions! I understand if it's busy you have to get the line moving but there is a way to do so nicely. Having workers like this is a sad disservice to the company. Conclusions: Pros: variety of bagel flavors, LOVE the double whipped spread and flavors, clean restaurant, big menu. Cons: unfriendly/rude service, a little pricy for individual bagels, bagels a little thin. Maybe some better employee training will help fix this in the future. :) read more
