I have not been impressed with Einstein Bros Bagels in the couple of times that I have visited. They have a decent set-up with good potential, but there are a few things that will keep me from frequenting them. First, they are expensive compared to Starbucks. I never thought I would make a statement like that about another breakfast/coffee house. However, their drinks are pricey. My wife and I had a breakfast standwich, pastry, and two large coffees for just under $20. The food was also not great. I know that my breakfast sandwich was all frozen ingredients. Starbucks does the same thing, but for $5, I thought it would be of better quality. My coffee was okay, but it was a bit sweet for my taste. I thought I was drinking a dessert. I imagine that I will try them again at some point to mix things up, but as they are currently, I won't be regular. read more

If you're looking for deliciousness than this is your place. Franklin is a sinkhole for good coffee. Several places have closed down, places that are open are terrible, and stuff that's planned aren't open yet. So when I happened upon Einstein Bros, I figured I had to give them a shot. Coffee is pretty darn good. I tried their pretzel bagel, and it was amazing. No butter, no cream cheese, and still wonderful. Coffee is reasonably priced, but bagels and bagel toppings are a little pricier than I would like, but it is a corporate store. My girlfriend went to get us a chicken salad sandwich this past Saturday. When she ordered at the drive through, she explained the last ones she got, had almost no chicken salad on them, he apologized and said he would put extra this time. So she get to the window and goes to pay and finds out he has added an extra $2.50 to each sandwich for the extra chicken salad, which to me was the amount they should actually have on them. He never said it would cost extra, just made it seem like he was making things right for the last ones having so little on them. So three chicken salad sandwiches, ended up costing $32.00!! We will never be back there, it's way to pricey, and skimpy on the sandwich fixings. If I had been with her, he would have kept the sandwiches, but she's nicer then me. read more

My bagel and schmear fine. So was the coffee. I mean it honestly feels weird to rate the food at a franchise. Especially with something as simple as bagel and schmear. It was Einstein bagels food. So it was solid. The staff was super nice! Five stars here. They were cleaning up a lot too. But the bathrooms were terrible. They are just in terrible disrepair. There is not much you could do to make such a terrible design look appealing. The age of the sink, the doors, it was awful. The seats were so ancient looking too. Worst of all, the soap dispenser was broken. It was full. Just broken. I really hope the kitchen has there own sink and soap... What a mess. Placing the order at the drive through was interrupted twice (and not for a short time ) with the orders gotten wrong when we asked them to be repeated. Then, we caught one wrong order upon pick up and had to return it. Uppn arriving home, the bagel with loxs was a disaster - really. 1. Not toasted as requested; 2. The skimpiest salmon imaginable; 3. A soggy bagel; 4. Onion so thick it could have made a man-sized onion ring; 5. All the capers piled in one spot; 6. Bagel cut so one side was super thick the opposite super thin. There....not one thing right. Oh, since mine was simply a garlic bagel I figured, 'no problem'. Wrong. I got a sesame one. Hard to imagine how this place stays in business. read more

The people here have been standoffish to me on more than one occasion. I'd love to love this place. There's lot of space, and it's a charming spot. But the customer service has been awful. On top of that, the wifi doesn't work - they're aware that their wifi "sucks" when I asked about it, but indicated no plans on seeking an improvement...... surprising, in my opinion. read more

I know this location is new and I think they may still be working out some kinks. I ran thru here the other day. In the afternoon, at not a very busy time. Ordered two toasted bagels with cream cheese, one thin one regular, a latte and a smoothie. I got two regular bagels and if they were toasted it was a very light toast, but they were tasty. There was an issue getting my coffee made, it took a long time and then they made a chai latte by accident, so I had to wait for them to fix that. All while I sat in the drive thru looking at Starbucks. The staff were nice and apologetic. read more

I really love this place...OK OK... So it's not as pricey and elitist as the Fivebucks just across the parking lot, but the bagels are wonderful and so is the vanilla hazelnut coffee. (I've drunk "the other guy's" coffee all around the country and it always tastes burnt.) You even get a free coffee just for answering their survey listed on your receipt. I have not tried all the pastries and bagels ... seem stuck on the asiago cheese and the spinach bagels. The room is great with comfy chairs and booths and TV. I have never encountered a sullen counter person. At drive thru, if i ask for coffee with "lots of cream and sugar" it always comes out right. I first tasted Einsteins when they first opened years ago in Florida and loved them so I was very disappointed when I went to the Einsteins in TN. Maybe it's because I'm from NYC and know what a real bagel tastes like but these are not 'bagels" they are bread shaped like a bagel. Meh. Visited Einstein Bros Bagels for lunch. I can't really say that their menu sets them apart from anything else that is deli-like, ie. I am surprised at the low reviews that I'm seeing from Einstein's. I have been there multiple times personally, and we have used them for small catering as well. Every time I have had a great experience. Everything from their customer service to their food has been great. I have had multiple bagels, but I usually get the Nova Lox. I usually love Einstein bagels. However today the service was less than par. The lady at the register was very dry and not friendly at all. I got the nova lox bagel and there was only one tiny piece of salmon on each half. Definitely didn't look like the ever so appetizing picture hanging on the wall. I love this place and frequent it regularly. Lately, I've noticed that they have been having a lot of cross-contamination issues. My husband's potato bagel with butter had a slight taste of onion and chives. My cheese bagel had sugar granules on it. Not really a big deal for us, but I fear if someone has allergies and one of these caused an incident. I would easily rate it 5/5 if this issue was addressed. read more

I shy away from 3 out of 5 star places. Just because I can zero in on the best of the best. Last night my wife and I talked about how much we loved Einstein Bagels when we lived in Indpls, but have not been to the local locations. I woke up today to my wife suggesting we go crazy and leave the house mid morning on a Sunday to hit Einstein's for a bagel with smear. The reviews on yelp showed it as 3 out of 5. Almost pulled back on the idea. We arrived to a pleasant environment with no waiting. I asked if they could make more Sugar cinnamon bagels, they didn't hesitate saying yes, but I decided to go ahead and try the French toast bagel with smear and my wife had the blueberry with smear. We recently moved to Franklin and and our family had a weekend tradition of going to Einstein's and we were thrilled when this new location opened. We decided to try this today for lunch and walked out without any food. They were out of bagel dogs at 11:15am even though this item is clearly pictured on the lunch menu. They said once they run out they don't make any more the rest of the day! They clearly aren't wanting to make any money in this store. My kids were so disappointed. We only go this place for breakfast. During weekend, their drive through is very busy even though they are pretty fast compare to the Starbucks. I do notice if you go in and order( even when they are busy) you will get your food faster than drive through. I think they definitely put the in store people first. I tried a few of their bagels but my favorite is the salmon one with wheat bread. They use fresh salmon and it is always delicious. I do notice they are not very consistent - sometimes I get too much salmon( might not be a bad thing for salmon lovers), or way too many tomatoes. One time I fee like they just dumped a whole jar of caper on top. I had to pick the extra ones out otherwise they it would be too salty. Overall I still like to go there and will continue supporting them. Oh forgot to mention I like their ice coffee. read more
