Not too sweet either. Also ordered the Jalapeño Cheddar Bagel with Bacon Chive Cream Cheese. This was on us - probably go with another bagel and dare I say, too much bacon for me. I had a whole grain bagel sandwich with turkey sausage (flavorful), egg, tomato, and avocado. I skipped the cheese. Overall it was good. My daughter's plain bagel and cinnamon brown sugar cream cheese was really good. I'd love to come back and try more bagel and cream cheese flavors. We ordered on the kiosks and it was ready pretty fast so good place if you don't have a lot of time. We ate outside but only a few tables. read more

Felt a little overpriced, but the bagel was good! They have a couple of 10 min parking spots so that made it easy to pop in for a sandwich to go. Otherwise, I think parking can be a little tough. I got the sandwich with smoked salmon and it was tasty! It has a lot of cream cheese and the bagel was the right amount of soft and crunchy. They have screens inside for you to order from, so there's limited interaction with the staff. There's also no space to sit inside, just a couple of tables outside. First time trying Ugly Bagel and definitely impressed. Not a lot of bagel spots around, so was pleased to see a new spot I haven't had before. I ordered the Basically sandwich on an everything bagel, with turkey sausage and added their ugly sauce. The bagel was soft enough to bite through, but still had the chew you expect from a bagel. The items on the sandwich were great. I never would have guessed the sausage was turkey, and the sauce combined with the melted American cheese gave the fat the sandwich needed. I am definitely someone that loves salt, but the added sea salt made the bagel slightly too salty for me. The place was very clean, and they have a display area showing what their bagels and spreads look like. Super helpful for people that eat with their eyes first. They have multiple ordering screens, so the only interaction I had was with the employee that handed me my food, but she was super nice and helpful with a question I had. The over ambiance is very cute and retro and I like the idea of the place and their slogan. The bagels were not good. It was a big let down overall. They tasted about the same as buying Einstein bagels from Publix. The cream cheese was not smooth. We got both a bagel and cream cheese and the sandwiches. The egg was green - not too sure why but that left a half eaten sandwich once we noticed. Very sad because we were really hoping for a good bagel place closer to Brentwood but crieve hall bagel and Benjie's still are the best and much fresher. The service here is not good. Every orders are through the phone or kiosk at the store. They don't properly plan for business so their store hours are not their store hours; they run out of bagels about a couple of hours before they close. Twice they have taken my money and not provided any service. It's too much focus on the digital and not enough on basic customer service. Also if they have to refund you than expect it to take at least a week to get your money back. I left my phone number for the store manager to call and never receive a call. Overall we liked the bagel from Ugly bagel. I grew up going to H&H in NYC and Hanks in Toluca Lake/Los Angeles so my bar is pretty high. We tried the Asiago bagel with bacon chive cream cheese. The bagel had a good taste, could be a little more toasted. Also tried the season cranberry walnut with salted butter. I enjoyed the butter more than the cream cheese, the bacon texture could have been better, I will go back and try a different cream cheese flavor next time. Pro tip, there is no seating inside and you order from a computer stand so I recommend just ordering online instead of waiting there. There are tables outside for warmer months but no where to sit while it's cold. Excited to see more bagel spots coming to Franklin. read more

We decided to give Ugly Bagel a try this morning. My daughter likes a good bagel sandwich a couple hours before a soccer game, and Ugly Bagel is about 10 mins closer to us than our usual spot. Since it is before a game, she's pretty specific about what she wants (can have) on her bagel. Ugly didn't allow any custom sandwiches. She just wanted turkey, avo, and cheddar, all things they have, but they wouldn't do it. She decided to try the sandwich with turkey sausage and avo spread, and the turkey sausage was cold. She decided not to risk it and made something at home. My husband, who eats everything, didn't like it either. The salt bagel was not good, and that's our go-to pre game bagel from our usual spot. Ugly Bagel is in the same complex as my husband's office, so we were really hoping to like it. I gave 2 stars because it was fast due to the kiosk ordering system, but we won't be going there again. Worst everything bagel ever. The bagel is overwhelmingly salty- even for an everything bagel. For $6 it is a generous size and had a generous amount of what appeared to be cream cheese but was an off-tasting white milky spread. The poppy seeds, sesame seeds, etc., were toasted to a burn so ended up scraping the top off. There is no service here except to be handed off your bagel when they call out your name. There is no price list or a menu - you're left wondering what to do when you open the door. It took me a few minutes to realize I would have to place my order on the kiosk but with customers blocking the way I didn't realize there was a kiosk. You have to push yourself through the waiting customers reach a kiosk. Once you figure that out, you wait until someone calls your name. Instead of a friendly atmosphere it seemed chaotic and too much work. I've had authentic Rolled bagels and this ain't it. Also, they do not accept cash. read more
