I do not frequent Einstein Bros on campus often, as it is out of the way of my classes, and their hours are quite limited. However, I headed over there to meet a friend for breakfast today. When I visited in the past, I was met with annoyingly long lines, but I got lucky today and didn't have to stand in line since I missed the breakfast rush. They have a menu with a wide variety of things to choose from, but they're mostly known for their bagel breakfast sandwiches, so I ordered the bacon and cheddar egg sandwich. The employee at the counter was nice and put in my order quickly. My food only took 5 minutes until it was ready for me to collect. My sandwich was not the most flavorful, but it was hot and neatly put together. I got the Santa Fe breakfast sandwich the last time I was there, and I loved it, so I'd recommend that instead of mine today. The seating availability was fine for such a small building, but I don't like how they arranged the tables really close together. Overall, I had a pretty okay experience, and I'd recommend this place for a quick bite in the morning. read more

This week, I went to Einstein Bros. Bagels on UAB's campus. This restaurant has been one of my favorites ever since I was a freshman and lived in McMahon Hall right above it. I got the All-Nighter sandwich, which has an egg, bacon, cheese, and their sauce on a cheesy hashbrown bagel. This sandwich is my favorite. The sauce really sets this sandwich apart form a normal bacon, egg, and cheese bagel and the cheesy bagel makes such a big difference. The sandwiches are always made right when you order them, so they are always super warm and the cheese is perfectly melted. It can get kind of busy, and you can be waiting for a good while but overall it's not bad. The staff is friendly and they have a great variety of breakfast sandwiches, lunch sandwiches, bagels with cream cheese, coffee, drinks, pastries, and more. Einstein is always my go to when I want a warm, delicious breakfast. read more

A great on-the-go bite! The UAB location of Einstein Bros is exactly what to expect of a bagel shop: cozy classics, a busy atmosphere full of energy, and the occasional misspelled name . My usual order is the chorizo sunrise egg sandwich. It always comes out fresh off the pressed and has that fantastic spiced kick of paprika and chili! The only consideration I have is that the lines here can get very long at times. Be prepared to wait up to 15-30 minutes in line some days with the food taking another 10 min at least, so make sure to visit only when you have some time! This location fits all the expectations of the familiar Einstein experience and will get the job done every time, just know you may have to wait during the breakfast and lunch rush. read more

Every single time I come into Einstein's they are so friendly and welcoming. I have been there so many times that they know my order by heart. I usually get the all-nighter, and I add roasted tomato spread. It is absolutely amazing. I also recommend that you try one of their coffees. The place is kept clean too, I can say that if you go around 11, they get pretty packed. The line is borderline out the door. I think this is a great place to chill with friends over coffee or even do some schoolwork. It is pretty loud in there, so if you prefer the quiet this probably isn't the best for you. I went to Einstein Bagels and ordered an iced caramel macchiato and a plain bagel with butter. I loved visiting this location during my sophomore year since it was close to my dorm hall, and I was excited to return after some time. The bagel was delicious, and they definitely give you a generous amount of spread/butter, which I appreciated. The service was great, and the workers were always lovely and welcoming. The iced caramel macchiato was also sweet and creamy, helping me stay focused while doing schoolwork. The atmosphere of the place is quite nice, the bathrooms are clean, and I was able to get some work done there, which was also nice. read more

I stopped by Einstein Bagels this afternoon after class, and it was a perfect choice. Despite the long line when I got there around 12:30PM, the staff were very efficient and I placed my order and got my bagel within 10 minutes! I love their blueberry bagel with plain cream cheese, but if you're in the mood for something for savory and filling I highly recommend their farmhouse breakfast sandwich with egg, avocado, spinach, and tomatoes on a toasted everything bagel! I used to come here all the time when I was living on campus, and I'm glad to know it's still open and available as one of healthier options near UAB's campus. The inside is small, but with a decent amount seating, and a few patio tables that are great to sit and eat at when the weathers nice. Einsteins Bagels is my favorite spot on-campus.My go-to order is an egg and cheese on a cheesy hashbrown bagel with either a vanilla cream cold brew or a coffee shake. While it is always crowded, it is well worth the wait. The workers are always kind, even when they are very busy. The quality is consistent. Einsteins is a particularly important spot on-campus because it caters to almost every dietary need. My only critiques of Einsteins are the hours and the seating options. I often don't have time to stop by during the week due to my heavy courseload and busy work schedule. I often wake up early on the weekend wishing I could pick up a delicious bagel and coffee from Einsteins. Einsteins has a lot of potential, and I think it would benefit from adding more seating options such as booths, larger tables, etc. It deserves a larger space considering how much traffic it gets. read more

I went to Einstein Bros. Bagel with my friends after class. I ordered a plain bagel with cream cheese and a medium-iced caramel macchiato for takeout. The workers were nice but the lady standing at the cash register taking my order asked me what can I get for you and turned to talk to the workers three times. I found that a little annoying because every time she asked me what I would like to order I was ready to state my order but she would turn away. Other than that everything was great. All the other workers were nice and respectful. The food tasted amazing and my coffee was great. Regarding COVID-19 precautions, the place was clean and hand sanitizer was available. I am not sure if they were wiping tables in between customers. Overall, the line moved pretty quickly and the place was clean. I rate this experience a 4/5 and would return again. read more

I chose to go to Einstein Bagels for breakfast this morning! When I went in, there was no line at all, so the service was really fast, which I appreciate. I just ordered a breakfast bagel sandwich and it came out really hot and fresh. The staff were super helpful and welcoming when I walked in, which is always nice when going into a restaurant. I took my breakfast to go, but I did notice that all of the tables were very clean and the overall restaurant was well kept. I am really glad that this is an option that we have on campus, because I will definitely continue to go back for breakfast! read more

I love coming to Einstein's Bagel almost daily, the staff is very friendly their coffee (lattes and cold brew) is delicious and their sandwiches are always hot and taste delicious. They are not stingy with cream cheese or any other toppings which I appreciate in a time of inflation and students being broke. As a whole, I found the restaurant to be a bit busy but still great to facilitate productivity. I enjoy coming to get some work done or chatting with friends, it always hits the spot. I decided to get Einstein's for a late lunch since I was close to it compared to other dining locations at UAB. I got the All Nighter and added avocado. It was very good and I appreciated the softness of the bagel despite being toasted. I never really get Einstein's mainly because it is often out of the way or far from the side of campus I usually stay on, however, I really enjoyed it. The one thing I will say is that the line was very long since it was midday and the workers seemed swamped. As far COVID-19/overall cleanliness, the overall space was clean but the tables weren't really being wiped between customers. I'm sure this is due to the fact that they were quite busy! Overall I'm glad I can use my dining dollars at a place that has so many options for both breakfast and lunch and I appreciate that they serve breakfast all day. read more

I haven't had Einsteins in a while so I was really excited to stop by and enjoy a late breakfast. The line was pretty long but that's not uncommon especially during their rush hours. The entrance is always pretty crowded just because the seating area is right there as soon as you walk in and it's also by the line to order food. I ended up ordering an all-nighter breakfast sandwich and a small iced coffee. I'm happy I get to use my dining dollars especially when you know exactly what you're getting. There were no COVID restrictions but the workers preparing the food wore masks and gloves. Overall, I've always liked getting Einstein's and prefer it over the Starbucks location on UAB's campus because it's closer to my class and the food options are better. The food is decent, the avocado toast had no flavor and barely any avocado on it. But my friend's bagel was good. What bothered me the most was the workers, they were very rude when taking my order. Britney was taking my order and stared at me the whole time like I was dumb. I grab Einsteins when I am wanting a quick bite between classes or when I need a bigger breakfast if I havent eaten. They always have everything I want in there, coffee, many different kinds of bagels, really good breakfast sandwiches, great cold brew shakes and many different types of sweets. Overall my experiences have been really good and I am able to get my food pretty quick even if there is a line. From what I could tell there didnt seem to be any special measures for COVID, besides the divider,it is kinda following all the changes that UAB has done in the past year. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is that recently I havent been able to Grubhub my order if I am in a rush. I stopped by this Einstein location today for breakfast around 9:30am and it wasn't too busy. There were a couple people sitting and eating and about 3 people ahead of me in line. I ordered a cinnamon raisin bagel with plain cream cheese, and it was pretty good! Social distancing was not required, but the ladies making the food wore gloves and masks. I'm not sure if that is a personal decision or if they're required to wear them when prepping food, but it did make me feel more comfortable eating there. Decided to stop by Einstein's yesterday after class. I ordered the Albuquerque turkey sandwich without bacon and it was delicious! The ingredients were layered well on the Asiago bagel and it was definitely worth the price. There are only a few tables inside unfortunately, so I decided to take it to-go. The line is definitely much longer and the environment has become busier ever since they moved locations from the LRC on campus, but the quality of the food is still great. The staff were friendly and patient, but the ordering process felt mildly disorganized especially with little space to wait for your food. Luckily, I didn't go during peak hours so my order was ready relatively fast. Although there are no strict COVID regulations, most of the staff were wearing masks and gloves. The packaging was also simple and sustainable, as the sandwich was neatly wrapped in a paper bag. The straws were also made of paper, so that was great to see as well! read more
