Eiffel in love with the novelty of the concept: bubble waffles colliding with ice cream and various toppings! ... but it fell short of expectations, primarily bc the bubble waffles were quite dry and chewy. This was definitely the case when eaten alone, and description still applicable (though more palatable) when combined with ice cream. The waffle cone was not as crisp and crunchy as expected or desired. It had a slight chew to it. I was pleasantly (haha) overwhelmed by the 30+ flavors to choose from in every color of the rainbow. I landed on the classic Java chip, which had wonderful coffee flavor and big chunks of chocolate. I noted the ice cream was ever so slightly gummy. You know, when you get that pull when you scoop it with your spoon that you're accustomed to seeing when you pick up a slice of pizza. Perhaps a bit too much stabilizer in the recipe. Mini 1 got her go-to cookies 'n cream, and mini 2 was sold on the blue Cookie Monster colored cosmic cookie ice cream. I taste tested both these flavors, and they were on point. The kids' build your own bubble waffle is a decent value at $6. That + a scoop in a waffle cone with 1 topping + a 5oz (very generous) scoop in a cup + 2 bottles of water left me $24 lighter. Colorful walls, menu, options, ice creams, and concept! I'd recommend giving it a try once if in the area, and hopefully the waffles are fresher on your visit. Au revoir!

I always drive past this place in Bolingbrook and finally got around to trying it! It was pretty crowded for a Friday night but they have plenty of outdoor seating and the service was relatively quick all things considered. I split the fruity pebble waffle with my friend and the portion was plenty to share! It gave the vibe of a deconstructed ice cream cone with vanilla ice cream and toppings:) I didn't feel it was overly sweet either which was amazing. Will visit again soon!

A piece of heaven delivered to my front door!! My partner ordered via doordash as a surprise!! The cookie monster was delicious as well as the nutella and strawberries!! Cant wait to visit the store!

Checked out Eiffel Waffle during grand opening. I had dinner at a nearby restaurant so it was perfect dessert opportunity. Found this place trending on Instagram and wanted to check it out since I love bubble waffles. Upon entering, place was different than what I had expected from seeing videos. It's got a warehouse brick wall w lighting type of vibe, but wall arts were inviting. It was definitely an ice cream shop with so many different flavors. For an indecisive person like it, it was quite overwhelm but luckily picture menus on the wall helped. I ordered: Biscuit monstre "Cookie Monster" $9: cosmic cookie ice cream topped w fudge, cookie dough, Oreos & strawberries Ice cream flavor was really good because I love cookie dough & Oreos. Strawberries was a good tart hint to sweet ice cream. Ice cream was kept at a cold temperature so it didn't melt even after I had taken photos (haha!). As far as bubble waffles, one should expect it gets soggy after being in touch w ice cream. After finishing my ice cream & top portion of bubble waffle, I threw out the bottom because it was way too sweet. Portion is really huge for one person. There were many employees, perhaps due to grand opening but I didn't necessarily feel welcomed. Many were hanging around and talking to each other. There were more employees than customers at the time I went around 7pm on Friday night. Would I go out of my way to come here? No. Would I come back again if I'm in the area and craving for ice cream? Yes.

Wow! Great spot with so many options for treats. Kind staff, good service and fun vibe. Really enjoyed the treats but you can definitely split one for 2-3 people. They are huge! The premades are the best deal with all the extras! Does well in the freezer although the waffle isn't great after being frozen

Kiddie size with salted caramel ice cream, whipped cream, and kinder. Great combo!

Julie C.

Eiffel Waffle is a great spot for a unique ice cream treat at a fair price point. We stopped mid-afternoon to try it out and ended up with two build-your-own kiddie waffles because the full size versions looked huge. Our kiddie sized desserts were more than enough! We each got a good sized square of bubble waffle with a very generous scoop of ice cream. Mine was salted caramel, and I added kinder bueno and whipped cream and was given generous amounts. Our waffles came in a little box, which amazingly didn't leak. Our desserts were delicious! The waffle was especially good. The kinder was among several topping options that were more special than you'd normally see. The ice cream was pretty good, not great - but the waffle is the star of the show. The size was generous for the price. They were pretty rich and filling, so this probably won't be a regular stop, but it is definitely on the short list for a special treat or a place to bring visiting friends and family.

Who doesn't love waffles filled with ice cream topped with fresh fruit. Your perfect summer dessert and the place offers great vibes.

Best waffle ice cream cone in the entire world! Filled with so much rich flavor and color to the eye. Eiffel Waffle, located in the Lincoln Park neighborhood is one of those places you have to come to try the desserts, you have the option to make your own creations, your imagination is the limit. As you enter the place you are greeted by the friendly staff and the good smell of all colorful flavor hits your nose. So many option to choose from but for me, i kept it simple. Specially because i have a weakness for chocolate. I order the Night in Paris Waffle It made of Bubble waffle cone with double chocolate peanut butter ice cream topped with kinder bar, chocolate chips, hot fudge, whip cream. What an incredible chocolate delight treat for the eyes, taste buds and soul. The waffle was very crispy and delicate, the Ice cream was sweet and melting in your hands. from the presentation to the taste this was not just a dessert but it felt like a delicacy. Alone or with someone this is definitely a date night dessert place. The waffle cone I got was way too much for one person, but worth it every bite. The drive is not too far if you are coming from the city and the prices are average for ice cream. This will definitely be a place to come back again.

Suhani A.

This place is SOOO GOOD!! Fav dessert place in Lincoln park! I got the cold brew icecream which was so good and I'm in love with their waffle towers which I got last time! Our server was Daniel and he was great, made the best waffle ever! Highly recommend coming!

Genna G.

So cute! They have a wide variety of flavored ice cream choices. My daughter had the cookie dough and I tried the cherry vanilla. Both good. Tip- these desserts are enormous. Go for the kids size for $6 - the kids size with a giant scoop of ice cream served in half a soft Belgium like waffle topped with whipped cream and a topping of your choice ( we went with the fresh strawberries). Even the kid size seemed large. The waffle was delicious and decadent. Worth the splurge- would return.

The menus is a little confusing and overwhelming at first but lots of options that you can mix and match. I thought everything was perfectly average. Great if you're kind of just walking around and wanting something sweet asap.

Build Your Own Waffle: cookies and cream ice cream, hot fudge, and M&Ms

Tried this place for the first time. Ice cream is fire, great quality. Didn't get a chance to try the sorbet, next time. We ordered the Eiffel minis with chocolate ganache ice cream, strawberry & bananas; kiddie build your own waffle -cookies and cream ice cream, hot fudge, and M&Ms; and waffle Towers (3 count!) Oreo avalanche with cookie dough ice cream. Decadent for sure! The Eiffel Mimi's could have used some texture, very chocolatey. We much prefer the Asian bubble waffles that have more of hollow center. These bubble waffles are more doughy/cakey and seemed like a cinnamon essence. Would come back for ice cream/sorbet only next time.

This is the third location in the state and the first one here. The original is in Downer's Grove which I haven't been to. The items ranges from $6-$9. Staff and service is excellent. PS. They don't have a website yet.

I stopped into Eiffel Waffle on a Tuesday and was the only one in the shop. The person who took my order did a great job of answering questions, as this is a newer shop and was my first time. I wanted something to take on the El that wouldn't melt, so ice cream was out :( I ended up getting the "on a stick", which interestingly did not come on a stick. They were ok but overpriced and took 10+ min to prepare. read more

Such a great take on a "waffle" cone as these are ACTUALLY Waffles!!! And the waffles are just the perfect crunch and sweetness to complement the ice cream and toppings!! A giant scoop of ice cream, lots of toppings that complement every bite and you have the perfect dessert to share with your loved one!! Move over milkshakes with two straws, here comes the Eiffel Waffle and two spoons!! It took a little bit of time for my wife and I to agree on one as they ALL looked great! Being a huge fan of caramel, we got the "Crème De La Crème" and it was HEAVEN!! Each spoonful had a piece of waffle, salted caramel ice cream, caramel drizzle, whip cream and nuts. We were fighting to see who got the last bite! The Salted Caramel ice cream could EASILY stand on its own as well!! It was a smooth blend and equal balance of ingredients. Will be a new favorite stop when we visit downtown!! read more

Love! Love! Love! The creativity spilled across the walls and was incorporated in their menu. I had the cookie monster waffle ice cream cone. The ice cream itself went stupid! The strawberries were fresh and the oreos went perfect with the ice cream. That was good, but my partner's desert was even better. For my taste buds I would love to go back for the nutella strawanna. It looks like a mess, but is crazy delicious. Don't underestimate how sweet these deserts are. This is a new go to for sure. read more

I ordered the bubble waffle and it was not good. The bubble waffle should be crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside but this was not it. It was soggy with American pancake like texture. While the employees are very nice, it always takes a very long time to be served and it's never busy when I've been there. I like the ice cream, as well as the waffle cones when they are served warm. However, the last time I was there, the waffle was not warm, and I was very confused on the price. I offered to pay in cash, and she told me it would be less than what she rang up because she assumed it was a credit card. For two of us (build your own and one shake) it was $21.49. She said it'll be less than that but she couldn't tell me How much less until she opened the register. She opened the register, and she gave me my change. I gave her $25.00 and she gave me $3.51 in change. It was not any cheaper. So confused but she was more confused than me. read more

Where do I even begin. This isn't just a dessert shop.... it's a place where I find comfort. In a way, it reminds me of the hot summer days I would spend with my grandparents. During these hot days of my youth, I would always share a waffle ice cream cone with my grandparents. Sadly, I don't have that luxury of enjoying ice cream with my grandparents anymore. After a long day of work, the only thing keeping me sane is the fact that Eiffel waffle is waiting for me blocks away from my apartment. The moment I come home from work, I rip off my work clothes and SPRINT out the door to get my Eiffel waffle creamy dreamy delicious ice cream. I arrive at the shop out of breath, and I am greeted by the most welcoming staff. They smile at me, and I smile back. To be honest... this is the only thing that get me out bed in the morning. Let me tell you something - these waffle cones aren't your normal waffle cones. They go ABOVE & BEYOND. It's almost like I am back in Belgium, eating a fresh waffle off the local street vendors. AND the ice cream.... so creamy and dreamy !!! The best thing that happened in 2022= eiffel waffle moving the Lincoln park! Even in the darkest times, there is hope. I advise all of you to find happiness in the little things of life... life I did in Eiffel waffle Eiffel read more

I liked to bring my kids here for a treat but we won't be coming back until they have better service. Today I had a very rude encounter with the manager. I ordered my ice cream for 3 and the cashier forgot to charge me for 3 toppings (not my fault). The manager comes to me in an accusatory manner and told me if you want toppings you have to pay for them (duh sir) I thought I had paid for them. I asked if he could charge me for them and he told me he would let me slide this time as if he was doing me a favor. I also didn't get my waffles for my ice cream And when I mentioned it he tried to charge me $10 a piece for a waffle. That isn't the price of them and he was so rude and annoying I opted out buying the waffles at the price gouging price. They lost a loyal customer. read more

We sat in a cozy table for 2 and the art was a plenty. We had the steak Fajita omelet, the French toast flight (paying a little extra to try ALL the flavors), side of catfish, and the seafood omelet. The Steak Fajitas Omelet was so flavorful. The meat was tender. The eggs were so cheesy. The hash browns were crispy and aplenty. The Seafood omelet was the rockstar that stole the show. There were 3 well sized shrimps sitting on a bed of lump crab meat on top of a fluffy mound of egg white omelet in a savory sauce that you almost want to lick the plate clean. We did order a side of catfish! Just because! Nicely fried with a seasoned breading with a side of hot sauce. To end our meal- we chose to do the super flight of French Toast- blueberry, strawberry, caramel, lemon and the butter cookie (seasonal flavor). I managed to take a bite of each one and I can see why this place is known for its French Toast. The drip coffee was the kind that you just couldn't stop with 1 cup. Our Server- Candace was so delightful as she described the menu and help us choose our meal. We clearly need to come back and try the other delicious food offerings. She made our experience here that much more memorable! She truly cares about her customers and it shows. We cannot wait to come back and support this family owned business.

I asked her a quick question but she noticeably had AirPods in and didn't respond. I was just looking for the bathroom but I found it myself. It was clean and well stocked. Our waitress was nice. Attentive and present. We ordered the 2+2+2+2 and a Moons over Miami sandwich. The food took less than 10 minutes to arrive and everything was very hot. My mom and I both enjoyed our breakfast. I personally really enjoyed the French toast. I thought the portions were filling. At the end we were asked if we'd be paying by cash or card. A ticket was never presented but we were just verbally told an amount. I thought that was kind of odd. We chose cash because you get a discount. We asked again what the total was and she again just verbally told us and then took the cash. We had exact change but I still think it was weird to not have a visual. This place is such a treat! The waffles are crisp on the outside, fluffy inside, and they don't hold back on toppings. I got one of their signature combos, and it was the perfect balance of sweet and indulgent without being too heavy. Everything looked super cute -- definitely Instagram-worthy, but it tastes just as good as it looks. Staff were really kind and patient while I debated (because everything looked so good). Service was quick, and they even checked in to make sure I liked what I ordered. It's a cozy little spot with a fun, playful vibe -- great for a sweet pick-me-up or post-dinner dessert. While we were dining on the front patio, we noticed The Original Rainbow Cone was just next door. Our daughter suggested going there for dessert after pasta. What a great idea! This was my first time visiting The Original Rainbow Cone. The store felt like a storybook ice cream shop, with lots of pink and colorful décor. It was clean and pleasant. When we visited shortly before 8:00 p.m. on a Sunday, it was pretty quiet. The young man who greeted us was very friendly and welcoming. He patiently answered all of our questions and explained that their iconic Rainbow Cone is stacked with orange sherbet, pistachio, Palmer House (vanilla with cherries and walnuts), strawberry, and chocolate. Since strawberry was sold out that evening, he recommended Strawberry Cheesecake as a substitute. Our daughter and I each got a baby-size Rainbow Cone, which was one big scoop with all five flavors combined. It was the perfect size for us after dinner. All the distinctive flavors worked surprisingly well together to make an enjoyable ice cream treat. At $4.99 each, it was a great value. Next time, I may save more room and go for a small size, which is made up of slices of ice cream. It looked pretty large to me, although the baby-size scoop was already very satisfying. It was Labor Day so other smaller shops were closed and this was close by. Wasn't in the mood for much so figured I'll still grab a taste and support the business. However, Manager at this location is not friendly and takes "kids" cup too seriously. I did not want a full small so figured I can get a kids cup just for a taste and she was rude about it and gave attitude. All she had to say was she's not allowed to give a kids cup to anyone over the age of 12 but instead had a judgmental look. To top it off she said I'm the manager so I have to follow the rules. I find it silly that any business would rather turn away business than give someone a kids cup considering you're getting paid and it's a smaller amount. It's not like it's getting a discounted rate or anything you still get exactly what you paid for. I would rather a business just show different sizes and have kids size be a certain ounce. Not everyone wants 2 scoops of ice cream and you may just want 1. However, the ice cream here was worse than I remembered and not sure if it's how this location keeps the ice cream but I thought it should have been more creamy and smooth but this was more ice like. Not creamy like I had remembered. I got the Espresso Caramel chip flavor and was a bit disappointed that it's not the rich flavor I was expecting and had the tiny ice texture to it.
