If you're going to spend the money, do yourself a favor and try some cookie flavors you wouldn't normally have at the ready! It's an easy spot to grab and go (but you might have to wait a little bit since everything is freshly baked). Admittedly, what drew me in was the Cookie Monster holiday tree! I went with the red velvet Oreo cookie because that's not something I typically see and I was so happy I did. It was DELICIOUS and well made. It was the right amount of sweet given the ingredients and no flavor over powered another. Prices were fair given the quality and amount of cookie you get. Since it was my first visit, I wanted to try one cookie before committing to a box of large cookies. Personally, I wouldn't plan to sit down and eat there because there are only a few bar stools around. Took my niece to try their weekly lineup, and she had a great time sampling all the flavors. Her favorites were the Flintstone, Biscoodoodle, and Better Than XXX cookies. I tried them too, and they were all really flavorful -- you could actually taste all the ingredients used in each cookie. A fabulous newer spot for a sweet treat! I've passed by many times and can't believe it took me so long to finally stop by. The shop is pretty unassuming with just a few high top bar seats. The employees were friendly and very efficient. All of the flavors looked interesting, but I was a bit skeptical that they might be too rich and potentially have too much going on in each cookie. However, I opted for the Rockstar cookie and was very glad to be wrong! Although the cookies visually resemble Crumbl, they are closer to those sold at Levain- beautifully crispy on the outside with a warm and chewy interior. The Rockstar was filled with assorted chocolate chunks, toffee, pretzel bits, and topped with sea salt. Surprisingly, it was not at all too sweet. Not very impressed at all. We ordered 4. Each one was dry and hard and Ehh on the taste. Not a fan at all.

I highly recommend the Dubai cookie (which is actually two croissants) as well as any soda combo that sounds good to you. They need a lot of work on their coffee though. We ordered 3 lattes, which took around 15 minutes, all of which were topped with a thick cold foam, even the one that was specifically ordered with almond milk. One barista said their almond milk is "extra creamy" but I'm a former barista and I've never seen almond milk thicken up like that so we asked the other barista. She told us all their lattes are topped with (dairy) cold foam, though this isn't stated anywhere, and generally it's wise to ask if the beverage is ordered non dairy if they'd like it topped with cold foam. She was really nice and agreed that she should've asked but that doesn't negate the first barista insisting she used almond milk for the whole drink. I just think you're going to run into issues, especially in Lakeview, with that if you're not diligent. Also, unfortunately, the lattes were really gross and tasted like milk and cheap syrup. I didn't expect a soda shop to have excellent coffee or anything but these were borderline undrinkable. I rounded up to 4 stars because I really love their sodas and cookies! I live closer to the Lombard store now but I will certainly be back to this one when I'm in the area. read more

If you're like me and watched the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, you saw the dirty soda craze. I had seen on Tiktok that Crave had dirty sodas and I was excited to try it out! The space is open, minimal, and bright. It is a smaller space, with a feel stools to sit and eat at, though not many, so I'd recommend taking your cookies/soda to go. There is mobile ordering at ipads under the menus and also a counter. I liked the efficiency of ordering from an ipad. I tried a Sprite with mango and strawberry puree and it was delicious! I initially ordered with syrup, but a worker was gracious enough to suggest puree since that's what she likes better. It tasted like a boba and was super refreshing. As for cookies, we ordered the Better Than Cheesecake, Carmelita, The Bueno, and Biscadoodle. These cookies are THICK! They're quite heavy, so be prepared when ordering (aka you probably can only finish 1-2). They are also served warm, which I loved. (And the box has reheating content printed on it!) Here's the skinny: Better Than Cheesecake: true to the name! A favorite. I loved the cream cheese tasting frosting on top. (Note: frosting melts if you reheat!) The Bueno: Another I'd reorder. This cookie had Bueno bars in the middle, and served hot, melted so nicely in the cookie. Carmelita: I didn't read what was in this cookie as a big caramel fan, but I felt it could be more caramel forward. It was also oatmeal, which I didn't expect. Biscadoodle: This one wasn't for me either. I wanted the Biscoff cookie butter to be more melty. I didn't love it with the snickerdoodle cookie either, but if you like snickerdoodle, this is a great choice. Overall, will be back to try more cookies + dirty sodas! read more

We were super excited to see that Crave Cookies sold them and had to try cookies as well. I tried the Berries and cream dirty soda which i enjoyed but my friend felt the coconut was too empowering. When the staff was making our drinks she made sure to ask if we wanted the syrup or purée because the puree is better! She change the order and my friends drink was so good as well. They are heavier cookies so you will probably need only one. I got the biscoododle (biscoff and snickerdoodle) the cookies and cream and the carmelita. These cookies are very rich so half a cookie was enough for me before I put the rest in the fridge. The great thing about these cookies is that they are very easy to reheat and come with instructions on the box. They are best served warmed but I didn't mind stealing a bite or two, fresh out the fridge. Staff is so nice and kind! I met the owner and he made me this specialty drink called the Lakeview. Sprite, strawberry purre and coconut milk. So good, it tasted like a creamy Shirley temple! Overall, I will be back. I wanted to send him a cookie cake to celebrate his birthday and since I don't know the area well I looked up cookies shops near his address. Crave was one that came up. I spoke with Omar (the owner) and he could have not been more helpful. He actually knew who my son was from seeing him and his dog in the neighborhood. It was a busy season for him and even though I had called on such late notice, he made sure to add him to his list of orders and deliver on his birthday. My son said that he and his friends loved it and visit the shop often. Omar really went out of his way to help make his day special. A few weeks ago I got Crave delivered & it was absolutely amazing! Today we were finally able to go in store & it was honestly one of the best customer service experiences we've ever had. As a dirty soda lover they are definitely doing it right. The cookies are also incredibly tasty & warm! The two men working (one was the owner) were so nice. We got a gluten free cookie for my sister & it took a little longer (which we were totally fine with) but the owner was so apologetic & even brought us out a warm cookie to eat while we waited & then gave us two extra cookies when he brought out our original owner. We were told it originated in Utah & they cofounded the one in Orland Park & then brought one to lake view east (apparently the first one in a major big city). Go support them! read more
