I have been going to these guys for a few years now for different needs…read more I brought my laptop in for a routine cleaning and to add a fresh dab of thermal paste as I lacked the time to do this myself, plus doing this with some laptops VS desktops can be two wildly different experiences. 40$ they charged me! Not bad at all. Yesterday (03/20/2023) I brought in a laptop I bought "Referbished" 6 months prior and the night before discovered the one of the m.2 screw where completely stripped. I took one look at it and "noped" out of that situation. I took it in to see if they could get it out and they did. 20$, PLUS they let me sit around and try to find a replacement screw so I could use it to slot in an extra SSD card. These guys know that if you are bringing in a device to get it fixed, you're too broke to go out and get a new one, something many phone companies WANT you to do instead of getting it fixed. If they DO charge you a price you deem "too expensive" please keep in mind it is not them, its the company(ies) like APPLE that lock down their own parts making it very hard to get 3rd party replacements or making their phones so expensive to fix that you might as well get a new one. This is by design and its not this stores fault. They will OUTRIGHT tell you that you would be better off just getting a new device if that is the situation. Support your local Mom & Pop shops, stay way from the corporate big boxed geek squads and the genius bars and support local Right To Repair.

Hi everyone, I made a yelp account just to report this scam of a business because I hope no one…read moreelse gets scammed like I did. Long story short the HDMI port for my Ps5 broke I sent it to the shop to get it fixed for $100 and then my ps5 began to overheat, I took it again and they charged me $40, the problem was not fixed after they returned my ps5 so I sent it back and after i received it back the overheating was gone but the HDMI port did not work again so I took it back and they tried to charge me $120 (a similar issue happened with another person while I was in the store once with some guy and his phone). End of story I left with more problems then solutions and my original problem wasn't even fixed. DO NOT COME HERE!! GO TO SOME OTHER HARDWARE STORE THAT ACTUALLY CARES ABOUT FIXING YOUR TECHNOLOGY!!! THIS BUSINESS IS A SCAM!!!

I spilled an entire glass of water over the keyboard of my 2017 MacBook Pro this morning,…read moredesperately trying to fix it by looking online when I realized that it would be much easier turning to a professional. I've never gone to a local tech repair shop before, only the Apple Store, but I knew they would not be able to fit me in as a walk up and they would either overcharge me or not even care for my laptop with water damage. In my mind I was expecting to take the L on the laptop, but I called B4Computers to see if I had to call ahead to make an appointment to come in. He said no, tell me what happened. I explained to him my situation, he told me to drop it off at the Brooklyn location and that it will be $250 straight to take apart my laptop and dry out the parts (which I accepted because I didn't know how to break down my laptop myself). He was also very friendly and kind on the phone, and I appreciate him giving it to me straight how much it would cost. He called me at the end of the day saying that my laptop was salvageable!! When I went to pick up my laptop (on the same day which I did not expect), he gave me great nuggets of wisdom on how to care for my laptop and what to look out for in case a shortage or something serious happened as a result. He was even kind enough to send me a link to a screen replacement part that I may need if my screen starts flickering, which was really nice because he took the time to do the research for me and I could trust him. Overall, incredible service. So nice and knowledgeable, gave it to me straight and wasn't sketchy about price or anything, and super responsive. Will definitely be going back to him for any tech-related issues instead of the Apple store. Way more convenient. Can't thank him enough!

First off, id like to say that I had high hopes for this company. After all these "positive"…read morereviews, I finally gave them a shot. First attempt was when I called to ask how much to fix my older Imac . They basically said they didn't want to do it, that it wasn't worth it.... to them. For a business, I found that weird since customers are the ones paying for a service. I said, ok no problem. Still felt weird about it, but no big deal. There are other iMac repair places available that apparently like business. Then my wife's iPhone X needed a screen repair. I called ahead and specifically asked them for a price and was told $119 by someone named Juvencio. No other comments were made to me, no other questions. My wife takes the phone in later in the day and upon pick up is charged $151. She then tells me that she was not happy with the aftermarket super thick screen, and the colored variation of the glass. She lets whoever handed the phone over know, and then they tell her thats how it is and that original is $300+ . This was never mentioned upon dropping off before the service. THEN she gets the bill for $151. They're assumption that we wouldn't pay for an original glass makes me wonder again about their business practices. So we paid, a service was performed, and rightfully so the bill was paid. Im glad this happened to us because I USED to recommend this place to friends without having actually been a customer, but long time Ridgewood resident. Unfortunately once I needed work to be done, it wasnt as good as I had hoped for. Be aware that there are tons of PC and Mac places around, dont find the location a reason to be lazy to get a proper fix with ethical practices.
