This Apple store is located via Prince Street in the heart of Soho, not too far away from the R/W subway station. There're two floors, the upper level being the genius bar where the Apple staff helps customers with their phone issues and the lower level is where all the Apple products are displayed in the open. Laptops, desktop computers, smartphones, smartwatches, accessories, wireless power banks, usb c cables etc....you name it. Additionally, all the staff is very patient, helpful, and friendly. Space wise is bright, clean and spacious. The overall layout of the Apple store is sleek and stylish. One of my favorite locations after the 59th Street flagship! Has a decently clean restroom, always seeing the staff hard at work cleaning each stall whenever I drop by. Many outlets upstairs and downstairs to charge your devices. There is free public wifi too. They accept both cash and card as payment but no prepaid gift cards. Receipts don't get printed out and are sent over to your email that's connected to your Apple ID/account. read more

I had an experience at this Apple Soho store yesterday that really brought me back to why I started writing these reviews in the first place. Do you ever have just such an exceptional customer service experience that you need to tell someone? Shoutout to my guy Kevin here at the Apple store. What a legend. I walked straight into the belly of the consumerism beast to upgrade my Iphone as I shoot my dumb little food videos in 4k 60 fps, and it has absolutely MOGGED my storage. I need to delete every clip after posting a video. My 256 GB phone is no match for 4k 60 fps. I need that 1 TB to stay flowy. When I informed Kevin of my pressing issue, he gave me every last option before letting my pockets get hit for that 1TB phone: "You should buy more Icloud storage..." -- "I did but now I gotta redownload everything when it's time to edit and that takes forever." "You can opt to download and keep originals in your settings so they stay high quality" -- "I don't have enough storage for that..." -- "Okay that's true..." he responded. I truly appreciate an employee looking out for a customer rather than just making a quick sale. They don't make them like Kev anymore. We also just started chopping it up, and he was such a cool personable dude. He's been working here for 9 years... Kev not new to this! I asked him if he could get Tim Apple on the phone so I could pitch him a few ideas including a smaller iphone (3GS size) and to bring an ipod back so I could go workout and not have my phone on me... This is such a nice Apple Store. It's got 2 floors, the upstairs is essentially the Genius Bar. They also have a large screen with comfortable seating upstairs where I was told they do classes which I think is so great. The store has multiple devices of the same model so that at least 10 people can try the item out at once. I had gone for a Genius Bar appointment. Making the appointment the day before was very easy and they were there to help me within 5 minutes of my appointment. Chris was very patient and listened to my concerns about laptop migration. He helped me through all the different options and answered all my questions. It took awhile to figure everything out and he didn't rush me and listened to all my concerns. I have been in this location in years. I think I bought my first iPod here back in 2005 or 06. In this case, I had a quick and super easy experience. I was here to purchase the Air Pod Headphones-- They were behind the counter but I had already listened to the sound quality at their Fifth Avenue location. I should have bought them there but I wanted to ponder about it. Nonetheless, the guy who helped me was great and very helpful. The store is very busy but the employees are very eager to assist you with whatever you need. I'd definitely say this is one of the best Apple locations. read more

This was a while back but I went there for a repair, told me it would take 1-2 hours, I went there by 12pm, came out around 4:15ish pm. They told me how they delayed the whole repair and everything. There was people that came after me, and got their devices fixed under an hour. There was also one employee specifically a female one being rude and stuff to me while I was asking genuine questions and things about my device. Everyone who works here is really nice, but dang, their wait times are horrible. I had an appointment last week and wasn't seen for 30 minutes, and once I was seen, they said to change my battery, I'd have to leave my phone with them til the end of the day-- six more hours. That's obviously crazy so they told me I'd be able to drop it off another day and it would only take an hour if I brought it early in the morning. Flash forward to today: I brought my phone in a few minutes before they officially opened and they quoted me two hours. Okay, still more than the one hour I was originally told, but fine. After an hour and 45 minutes, someone tells me they were unable to unscrew my phone and they're just going to replace the phone (I have AppleCare). This is nice, but why did it take two hours to find out you can't get into the phone? I ended up staying at the Apple Store for 3.5 hours. Again, everyone I interacted with was really kind and attentive, but prepare to wait around a while if you're coming in for a repair. read more

My favorite store ever, why not? I use iPhone and I'm a fan of iPhone for years. I came to shopping in Soho and always stop by at this Apple location. Staff are good, always keep eyes on you every of your move. Just snap your fingers then they will pop up and ask what you are looking for. The stuff at the store, often rotate quick every season. Still in late Summer but almost Fall. Lots of goods have been always so I ended up didn't get what I wanted but have to go to another location to get the item. read more

Very welcoming. I was going to get a replacement battery for my apple pro laptop from 2018, but the cost of the battery is around $280, and apple is making later versions vintage. I guess that's the new word vs, obsolete buy a new computer. Good thing I'm an Apple junky. The young lady didn't try to upsell, but the new base model, which is my old expensive model is cheaper now than before. Reason they make their own chips now. So I decided to think about it. If I trade in I'll get a couple hundred, and the new base is around 1500. You see where I'm going. Nonetheless, I'll think about. The employee gave me great advice. I'll be back. Our iPhone 6's were due for replacement. The Soho Apple Store we found is to be less touristy than other choices. We were greeted at the door and assigned to a salesperson who acted like more of our Apple expert. They were able to answer pur questions and set up the new iPhone SE's we decided on. Activation was a breeze and our data was transfered from old to new. A real perk is the seamless transition from our old phones to our new ones and they are open til 9pm. read more

Only gave more than one star because the sales associate Kareem that helped me was very helpful and kind. The layout of this store and where you're allowed to sit and not is so arbitrary and hostile. When I moved to where it's comfortable to sit nobody could even let me borrow a charger from the store for my phone. I finally was leading to charge my phone using the chargers for the display iPads but the cable isn't even long enough to stand and use my phone. Leah's passive-aggressive demeanor was off-putting from the get-go, then i was told I can be seen in five minutes which turned into a whole hour. As if that wasn't enough, my ongoing battle with malfunctioning Air Max headphones reached a new level of frustration. Despite multiple repair attempts and assurances that they're fine, the issues persist. Even after showing the problem to the staff and reminding them of promises made by manager Mitzi that I initially spoke to, I'm still being asked to send them in again even though the Genius Bar Manager Jen and her associate witnessed the issue first hand on this visit. If you're looking to purchase a pair of Apple Max headphones just opt out for the Bose nose canceling headphones because my Apple max constantly disconnects and malfunctions even at a $600 price point with Apple care. And to top it all off, when I requested the store manager's contact information, I was essentially told to figure it out myself and find it online (which I can't). This whole experience has been beyond disappointing; Apple seriously needs to up their game in the customer service department. Do better read more

At ~10am on a Sunday, store was not crowded; I was helped immediately. Apple staffer Kingman was courteous and affable, not at all hurried. He got me exactly what I wanted, installing the phone cover and screen glass expertly, meticulously. Kingman didn't try to sell me a new phone, which I appreciated, nor did he mention the execrable "Apple Intelligence" they're pushing. There was no sales pressure or upselling. Came here to get a battery replacement for my aging iPhone 8. I was served relatively quickly and the agent quoted me a price of $49 and gave me a 15-minute time window to come back to pick up the phone. When I returned, I had to wait for quite a bit past the upper end of that window for them to come out with my phone. They have a glass staircase that goes up to the second floor and they have a pretty large waiting area on the second floor as well. Apple Stores are a visual contradiction. When they are empty they look like a perfect example of order. Tables lined with phones, tablets and laptops all ready for customers to try out. Everything is super clean and orderly. Then open the doors and floods of people come in and it looks like chaos with silicon and wires mixed in. The Soho Apple store is no different. Those who do not take well to crowds are best off coming near opening or closing, but for everyone else, this is a good location to visit. Located in a building that once served as a post office, this location is made up of two floors. The first floor is where most of the retail action takes place. A small army of customer service reps float around as they tend to customers and talk about products. If you need help from the Genius Bar, that's located upstairs. Interestingly, there is a small theater area with commercials being projected onto the screen, though I once did see some type of class happening there as well. Recently I made an appointment with the Genius Bar to replace the battery in my phone. I came 15 minutes early for my appointment but only waited 5 before someone came to help me out. I was very concerned that my data would all be lost in the process, so I had made sure to back up my information before handing my phone off. I was told to return two hours later, which I did and my phone was ready to go! Even better? No data had been lost. All my apps, photos etc. were still intact and for that I was very happy. The rep who helped me was very friendly and happy to answer my questions.
