Short and sweet, Emir is amazing. His prices are the best in the land based on the quality of the materials used. I brought in my disastrous looking iPhone X, cracked on both the front and back glass. Emir gave me a realistic timeline (1.5-2 hours ) and offered to call me upon completion. Further he charges $150, as opposed to the $279 apple charges and the $249-$300 3rd party repair services charge. Just as promised Emir completed the phone and called me up. I showed up to a phone with a front screen smoother than freshly paved concrete! Further, he assured me that if I'd run into any issues that I should come back. Thank you for everything man. Really really amazing work and timeliness of service. 10 stars!!! read more

Cell Phone Geek - Mobile Phone Repair Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

so overpriced. used gear for more than what it would be brand new at the Apple Store. also super super cheap quality.

Great Place! My phone suffered from water corrosion from my Face ID camera and my phone camera. Unfortunately only my camera was repairable but Alex was super fair in pricing and explained ever step of the way what he was doing and what was possible. I blame Apple for making phone repairability so hard and basically capitalizing on phone users by making the phones have an internal clock of death. read more

Cool Hand Lu says: Great service and skill will leave you satisfied and ready to break your phone all over again! I was able to get a friend's old phone and finally upgrade my 4S (will have to give that old soldier a Viking funeral...) but needed to fix the broken glass. After searching a few spots, this location had the best prices for my current budget. Additionally, it is in DUMBO and was a quick trip from the Navy Yard, which sealed the deal for me. It's really convenient to get to the shop and is within walking distance from both the A/C train at High St. and the F train at York St. It's also in close proximity to some great food spots to check out while you wait. Emir, the tech who fixed the screen, is professional, courteous and very personable. He answered all my questions patiently and while knowing that every sale obviously helps his pockets never seemed to be pushy or driven to get me to spend more money than absolutely needed. (I thought the battery needed to be replaced and I could easily have been gotten for the cost of replacing it but happily only spent $70 to replace the glass). Fixing the screen took about 30 mins or so, and if I was there earlier in the day I could have gotten a bite to eat while waiting. I was content to sit around in the shop and chat with Emir. The shop is small so people should be aware of that during the day as I would assume space can become a premium. I got the phone repaired 2 months ago and there haven't been any issues at all. I obviously got a phone case because as nice as Emir was, I'm not trying to be an immediate repeat customer. lol All in all, I received great personal and professional service and it's definitely worth checking out for a reasonably priced repair job. read more

Emir is knowledgeable, polite and responsive. It's a rare combination. He fixed my broken glass faster than I needed it and for way cheaper than the Apple store. Everything looks and works great. I highly recommend his work. I have a broken laptop that I will be taking to Emir soon. read more

Cell Phone Geek - Just like new - Mobile Phone Repair Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

This guy is trustworthy and a real professional. He fixed my phone which had a cracked screen. I've had this done so many times before and it's always been shoddy. It really makes a difference when someone uses high-quality products, and knows what they're doing. I won't go to anyone else in the future. read more

Cell Phone Geek - One block from my work in Dumbo. Couldn't be happier. - Mobile Phone Repair Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

I just had an amazing experience here. My iPhone had some chip that had to be soldered- and the owner did it within two hours. He also said that if there is an issue within the next few days (because the chip has to be replaced), he would replace it for the price I already paid. As of now, my phone works great. Additionally the owner's explanation of the problem was in plain language and not techno-babble. I highly recommend. read more

Definitely listen to what other people have said. This place is great! I came in here with a shattered screen on my iPhone6s and it was repaired within a half hour. Cost was $70, which is pretty standard for this service from what I see around the area. The owner is very knowledgeable and skilled, and is overall a good person. Treats his customers with respect. The only problem I had with my service was that the screen feels a little "off". It can be pushed in and makes a clicking sound now. Not a huge deal for me, but definitely not "like new". read more

Very calm and professional guy. He was organized and on-time when getting back to me. However, his materials are not the best of quality. I had my cracked iPhone X phone screen fixed. Initially I noticed the difference in touch quality from the glass originally provided by Apple and the placement was a little uneven.......no biggie. Less than a week later my phone had cracked again simply by putting it down on my desk (with a screen protector on it) - again nothing I would lose my temper for, as I would think I could explain the situation to the one who repaired the phone. Unfortunately, there was nothing he could do as he said he couldn't explain the situation to his supplier. (He did tell me very calmly and collectively, but it was not the answer that I was looking for). All-in-all, nice guy but cheap material. I would recommend spending the extra money at the Apple store to get the better quality fix. (That is if it is extra, because my bill came out to above $210, which isn't much less than an iPhone screen repair). Now I'm stuck with a phone that doesn't work because shard of glass/plastic? have gotten into the hardware. I won't be returning. read more

Emir is AMAZING!!! Yesterday I dropped my phone on the pavement and knew I had just shattered my screen. It was bad enough I was getting glass dust on my fingers after texting. I sent in a request for a quote and Emir responded within 10minutes. I told him I'd be in around 4:30, and then when I needed to push back to 5:00 he was flexible. He had two or three phones ahead of mine, so said it would be about an hour, so I was able to walk around beautiful DUMBO while I waited. Emir fixed my phone and included a protective cover. He also recycles the cracked screens instead of tossing them like everyone else. He's super nice, works quickly, and the price is more the reasonable. Please go to Emir for your phone repair needs!!!! read more

Prepared and Honest! He did a good job reparing my Ipad at a fair price. Thanks congratulations for your professionalism in this City it's a rare commodity read more

Fantastic. I took my SE in to have the screen fixed and Emir fixed it in 15 minutes. The previous screen replacement had been faulty but he put in a refurbished Apple screen, not a manufactured copy as had been done before. It's like having a brand new phone. read more

These guys were great! Helped me out in a pinch, and went out of their way - very friendly, great customer service.

I dropped my iPhone on the subway, and ended up with a cracked LCD. Did a bit of research on Yelp to find a repair facility, received quotes from different shops, and picked Emir's shop. He was very professional and gave me two options for a new screen. I asked his personal opinion (by asking which option he would pick for his Mom), and went with the cheaper option; there wasn't much price difference between the two, and I was planning to go with the slightly expensive option. The replacement took less than 30 mins, and the phone looks great. The fact that he is willing to guarantee his workmanship for 12 months is very reassuring, so I would highly recommend Emir's services. read more

This was a great experience for me overall. Emir was extremely professional every step of the way and turned my bad phone situation upside down. Screen was totally cracked and both cameras too. All was fixed with a super quick turnaround. Just a few hrs for the screen. If you live or work in the DUMBO area this is the place to take your broken iPhone. Cost was reasonable as well. read more

I found Green Fix through a generic search for iPhone screen repair and after reading reviews contacted Emir. He gave me a quote and an appointment the next day. I went in to have my iPhone 6S+ screen replaced because I cracked it end to end during a hiking trip. I waited out the 30+ minutes it took him to repair the screen at his storefront. Emir is very professional, his prices are reasonable compared to others that may not give you authentic parts, and he has an amazing set up! He uses actual Apple screens (I think I'm using the right part terminology.... he explained it to me a few times, but I'm still confused with all the layers that make up an iPhone screen!) This ensures that your phone isn't devalued as a result of an unfortunate incident when you don't have AppleCare. Upon appointment he'll also give you a complementary tempered glass screen protector after he replaces the screen. I hope this detailed review helps others in choosing a place for their phone/tablet repair needs. I highly recommend and couldn't be happier with choosing Emir on a whim! Thank you Emir! read more

TL;DR: Be cautious. I needed to fix my cracked screen (glass replacement), then one week later I got my phone back with new issues: uneven screen surface raised on one side, screen burns throughout display, scratches on the back of the phone, overheating and draining problems (common issue with improper replacements). Shop owner is disrespectful and aggressively unprofessional, refuses to fix them, won't refund you, and will say it's your problem, and ask you to pay for additional repairs if you want it fixed. Not trustworthy. Long version: I went in for a repair on my Galaxy S8. Screen glass was cracked for about a month, not too badly (I could clearly view most of the display just fine) but still bothersome. The glass was replaced but apparently a stubborn air bubble formed underneath the new glass during replacement and it needed to be removed, and that took a week. After that I went back to get my phone and the screen was slightly raised on the right side edge, and there were screen burns throughout the display (on a white background, I could clearly see the display divided into pink and purple tinted sections, and if I hide the home/navigation buttons, I could see their imprints). The shop owner refused to fix any of the issues: he said that he'd already spent a lot of time on my phone replacing the glass and removing the bubble (which he caused), and said that the lower price and cheap labor he offered came with those risks (such as the lifted screen) and that he couldn't do anything about it. He said the glass he uses is some cheap $5 glass, and you are paying mostly for his labor, which is cheaper than other places, so basically, you get what you pay for. Cheap faulty labor, no responsibilities or real warranties. As for the display burns, I only noticed how visibly bad they were after I left the store and started using my phone normally. When I called the shop owner to explain, I literally couldn't finish any of my sentences - he interrupted me every time and became agitated quickly (he already had my money at that point anyways), aggressively yelling at me right from the get-go, claiming he didn't cause the burns, blaming the phone itself and accusing me of "pushing on him," even though as an unsatisfied paying customer I have the right to respectfully question the service I received, not just silently accept it, especially when it was poorly executed. I've had this phone for a year & half and never saw those burns. I tried to have a civilized conversation but he was extremely rude, loud and aggressive. He said that it was my problem and I'd have to fix it on my own. He said I would have to pay him for additional repairs if I wanted him to fix it. He dared to say this whole thing was stressing HIM out. This repair was stressing ME and MY wallet out, and making me worry every day about my phone, but I always kept my cool as a customer, so I don't understand how he, as an adult and business owner, can't even have a normal conversation without treating customers so unprofessionally. His violent and disrespectful behavior was appalling and disgusting. I had already paid him in cash at that point and it's really sad that I can't get my money back. I paid for a repair and didn't expect my phone to be returned to me with new defects and excuses. I'm sure he wouldn't intentionally damage phones, but mistakes can happen and it's not the customer's fault if his work was flawed, or if his machines can cause other issues. Yet, he won't fix any consequential damage, even though he says he gives you warranty. I am so disappointed in the quality of the service, and in how problems are handled (or not handled, in this case) if they arise during a repair. Not to mention other minor issues that I noticed, like scratches on the back of the device (I always use a phone case and those scratches were not there before) and the phone overheating and draining quickly (I did some research and found out this is a common problem when screens are replaced improperly). This experience was unacceptable and has caused me so much headache, I would not recommend this place to anyone in their right mind. It's not worth the risks and headaches you will get. You might get one issue fixed, but then gain 10 more after repair. Not trustworthy. Instead, take your phone to Smart Phone NYC or to Geek Shop, for similar prices, or save yourselves from the headache altogether and take it to an authorized repair shop (Samsung authorized or Apple Store) and pay some extra bucks for peace of mind AND QUALITY. read more

I had a crack in the top corner of my iPhone X screen, I was not hear through the receiver and could only talk through headphones and speaker. I found Emir's shop on yelp gave him a call and made an early afternoon appt. Emir told me the two different options I had to repair the screen as well as the prices. I went with the option to repair the glass which was $150 but was going to take 2 hours. I came back in about an hour, my screen looked like new and I am able to hear through the receiver again. Emir was extremely professional and helpful. This will definitely be the shop I'll come to if I ever need any electronic repairs. Thank you! read more

I had an unfortunate accident at the airport couple days after I got a new phone. The bright side of the situation was that only the back frame got cracked, not the screen. Out of my despair, I started searching for a solution. I am so glad that I found Emir. The service is great. Emir is very knowledgeable and honest about the repairs. He offers a great price and a warranty.

I walked in here around 1:30pm, he quoted my iPhone 7 screen replacement of $90. I walked across the street and had something to eat. Returned to the store and realized I was early and he still wasn't done. Without a phone I have no awareness of the time (I see why some people wear watches now). So I sat there and spoke to him for a little bit he threw in a free glass protector and a one-year warranty. I would highly recommend this to anyone. read more

This is a review not just to inform about this repair shop but to warn about MacBook Pros. I can't give him more than one star because he failed to render a repair but sucked up two weeks of my life. I dropped my laptop and broke the LED screen. Apple was pricey. Emir said he could fix it, and I would save by not replacing the clamshell. He said he had done it several times before. I waited a week for the part (bought on eBay), and there were several false promises about when it would be done. He did get it going but the strip at the bottom of the screen was broken, he then said. He ordered that part but on applying the new one, HE broke the LED. And gave up. He gave me my money back and blamed me for rushing him. I went a week without a computer (traumatic experience) and then another week with one that didn't close properly. I had to schlep to his shop four times. Authorized Apple repair shops do not replace MacBook Pro screens but tell you they have to go back to Apple. And Apple insists the screen and clamshell are one piece! Emir tried to do right but he needs to stick with phone repair. This was beyond his skillset. read more

Honestly, this is my 2nd time coming to this place all though my phone can not be properly replaced I am o.k with that. The gentleman who is here currently working and has worked on my phone is nothing but the best and super professional. I have had a rough couple weeks and the phone has been the last straw and although I may have to hold off celebrating my b-day this week due to getting a new phone I am very grateful for their kindness, eagerness to help and genuine understanding of how somethings are just not in our control when it comes to these silly devices. Emir was fantastic. Dropped my phone off for a screen repair. He mentioned I may need a more expensive, full LED replacement, and would assess as he did the work. I rarely do reviews and end up only reviewing when: 1) someplace is awful and the world needs to know, or 2) best thing ever and the world needs to know. Green Fix & Recycling is the BEST. Emir is honest, friendly, helpful, and his prices are soooo reasonable. I was charged $70 total for a shattered iPhone 6 glass, fixed LCD screen, replaced back camera lens, and he even replaced my speaker on my phone! He was able to magically recycle/reuse my LCD screen which had some water damage, whereas other places just replace. On top of all this, he guarantees his work for 1 year. He's a kind professional. I dropped my iPhone and the screen cracked (*groan*), I thought of those many stories from friends and families of how costly and complicated it was to fix their phones including botched repairs from some of their experiences, and was ready for an ordeal.
