3/8/26: holy smokes, talk about large servings of delicious food. Wow! I would whole heartedly recommend Eggstasy. Our server, Mikella, was awesome, plus the space itself was pretty open & decorated well. The noise level was a bit boisterous but not too loud that you had to shout to be heard. There was a pretty hefty-sized patio, too. Mikella was very welcoming, offering up her suggestions for us first-timers. She was friendly & smiled the entire time we interacted with her. There was a good hustle & bustle going on when we popped in, but she never seemed harried or anxious. She kept her calm & her smile on. She "lied" about the spicy candied bacon, though. More on that below. Drinks: sparkling pomegranate punch (tasted like a mimosa, really), spiked sweet tea w/ Titos vodka (much better than the punch), cucumber water. Food: toasted coconut, mango & strawberry crepes; sun dried tomato, goat cheese & pine nuts omelet, w/ rye toast & hashbrowns; goat cheese & fig jam omelet; spicy candied bacon. We wavered between the chocolate covered bacon & spicy. Mikella said the spicy was a good mixture of sweet & spicy. Liar, liar, pants on fire. LOL! For both of us, it was way too spicy. Now, had that spicy bacon then been dipped chocolate, our mouths may not have been on fire. :-) The crepes and the omelets? Everything was delicious. The slices of rye were Texas-toast thick, and the hashbrowns were well browned. Crispy but not burnt. The toast was so thick, we wondered how thick the French toast slices would have been. Well, the couple beside us ordered the French toast and it was half again as thick as the rye. So yeah, their French toast is THICK. THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE REPORTED TO THE HEALTH DEPT FOR INFESTATION OF FLYS ALL OVER TABLES AND FOOD ...it's not just a random fly here and there it's 100's! 2 stars because the food is pretty good...But service and atmosphere?? not so great. Waited for a table 30 minutes on a Sunday only to be stuck in an outside corner table just absolutely full of flies buzzing around you the entire time. I sat with a menu trying to fan them away. You all need either a fan out there or a bug zapper or something because thats awful to try to eat breakfast with tons of flies dive bombing you and your food. So gross! Also we were ignored for 20+ minutes and had random other servers looking at our table with no water, no drinks, just sitting there with menus and no one ever coming over. You would think another server would be like, "hmmm those people have been sitting awhile with no server I need to let my manager know"... I finally got up to go ask the hostess if we could move out of the flies zone (yeah for another 20 minute wait you can) and asked her to send our sever over as we had not been acknowledged by anyone for a very long time. We only ordered things we really like and eat elsewhere: eggs Benedict, and a club sandwich. It was our first time so we wanted to try these so we could judge. The club, trying to be cute I guess, was inedibly large. It was impossibly tall and you'd think that was great but trying to bite it caused slippery things like avocado to squeeze out of the sandwich and other innards to slide around. We tried to take the sandwich apart to make it smaller but it really did not work it was just a mess. It came with fries that were over deep-fried, very crispy. We ate some and asked the server uhh what's wrong with these they tase really strongly of something. She said oh they are fried in beef tallow. Yikes and it tasted bad to us. The eggs Benedict came on a cold English muffin with cold hash browns. They tasted better than the fries but they were also well-cooked to being blackened in parts and crunchy crispy. The ham with the eggs also tasted slightly off. I did not ask to find out why. And one of the dishes came with a soup that had quickly congealed a top skin that even though we moved that aside it was, well, it was ok whatever it was, but again not a pleasant flavor. Honestly, the place had other people there seemingly having a nice time. Maybe it was us? Maybe it was a new cook that we happened to get? We don't know, but we won't ever be going back. And although I do not like leaving such a poor review, when you're paying about $18 a plate before any add-ons or tax or tip (we tipped well anyway it was not the server's fault after all), at these prices I had to speak up. read more

What can I say, I love a good brunch. This place is always packed and we had top notch service. I made my daughter try the breakfast burger with an over easy egg. I don't like flies all over my food. FLIES FLIES everywhere!! So gross. On top of that, this place is so freaking LOUD!! My friend and I met for lunch, and we couldn't hear each other over the noise (while we were swatting all the FLIES!). The staff and service are great. Cute place that has a lot of locations in Az. We came for brunch with a big party. We had to sit outside and it was very chilly. Would've been nice if there were heaters. Staff was friendly and attentive. I ordered thr banging breakfast Sammie which was an everything bagel with egg, cheese and bacon with a side of hasbrowns. It was pretty good but nothing super special. I did have some fresh squeezed oj that was fantastic. Hubby ordered the croque madam which would have been really good but the mustard was very overwhelming and kind of ruined the flavor of the cheesy became. I'm not huge breakfast person, but I did have a great breakfast here. I have been told before I got this place does a lot of fun "double entendres," but other than one item on the menu, it really does not. What I love most about this place is how bright and sunny it is. There are light up letters on one wall and a long bar on the side. There's also a great patio to the side which you could miss if you aren't looking. There's so many choices for breakfast, including pancakes, eggs, crepes, and lots of breakfast sandwiches. There's also a small lunch selection. Both my friend and I went basic with coffee, eggs, fruits, sausage, and plain pancakes. They were all quite delicious. We had a great server. When she asked how everything was I mentioned that I did not like the chicken Gouda sausage. Without skipping a beat she said that the chicken gouda sausage is an acquired taste and that should be happy to bring me something else. She came back quickly with two links of regular pork sausage and served it with a smile. There's one thing that drives me crazy about this place and I've noticed it on two visits. It can become very crowded on the weekend and there is not a lot of space for people to wait. It seemed that the entire time we were eating, groups of people would be standing directly behind us in the dining room. It is really annoying to eat with groups of people standing behind you and watching you eat. Eggstasy is doing brunch right! Definitely one of the better brunch spots in the East Valley. They have a great menu that they updated and rotate periodically. Huge food selection! Got here a little before 8am to avoid the crowd. Our server Kristy was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and attentive! She explained that you can upgrade to specialty pancakes, waffles, French toast, or crepes for $3 if you order omelettes, skillets, and eggmazing entrees. What a great deal! I decided on the Gypsy steak skillet $17.95 which came with hash browns and fruit. I also upgraded to a Belgian waffle for an extra $2 for hubby. He chose 2 eggs, hash browns, smoked ham and sourdough toast $15.95. I think my jaw dropped when the food arrived as the portions were massive, especially hubby's! Unfortunately my skillet was not seasoned so I had to add salt and pepper which was not a big deal, but my steak was super chewy:( Kristy noticed I hadn't really eaten my dish and took 50 percent off! Recently I stopped on this location as who doesn't love a good brunch spot? I was excited to see a Blood Orange Mimosa, so I had to stop in. Though a busier day of the week (Sunday), I was seated right away and my server was very friendly. Very spacious dining area and wasn't too loud for noise, which was very welcome after a long stimulating week. The meal started off right as the Blood Orange Mimosa was amazing! Love that cucumber water is provided as well; gotta stay hydrated. Though, I am still bewildered that a Benedict didn't come with hollandaise, and Caprese typically has balsamic. I get there was not balsamic as it wasn't listed in the menu, but the lack of hollandaise was a shock as every eggs Benedict I've had comes with hollandaise even if a twist on it. The amount of food you get for the price is SO worth it! We only ordered two items and got these four massive plates! There are certain categories of items that include toast or pancakes, and if you really want your money's worth or if you're just a giant foodie like my husband and I, you can upgrade to any of their specialty pancakes for only $3. We ordered: - Barbacoa Omelette and upgraded the pancakes to the Lemon Ricotta pancakes - Gypsy Steak Skillet and upgraded to the Cinnamon Roll Pancakes Massive portions and everything was delicious. Recently, a bunch of us got together for breakfast and had an opportunity of trying out from their huge assortment of breakfast/brunch goodies. I must say that their fruit juices are exquisite, fresh and yummy. Whether having just Orange, Cranberry or my fave Pink Grapefruit! Overall, 10 breakfast meals were ordered across the familial table and almost everyone was a different take and style on breakfast. This made it an excellent bite size test of each dish at the table - we are family you see! One of the best servings was the Phat Country Boy which consisted of a fresh baked biscuit, delectable and moist Maple Sausage patties, with a perfectly poached egg and terrific gravy. Not much Buttermilk Pancake with Fruit, a couple Western Omelets with Hash Browns, a terrific Sausage Benedict with Hash Browns, some Deli's Skillet, Eggs Overeasy with Bacon and Hash Browns, some fabulous Sour Dough Bread and Butter, was left at the table upon dining, except for those taken home in doggie bags! But I must say, my dish was by far the best of the bunch, and I must offer kudos to Eggstacy for this concoction! Went here with a big family group for late brunch. The servers were so patient and accommodating for us when we wanted to be placed in a different room. They also got all our orders and made sure everyone got their correct order too (keep in mind we were a BIG group so their attention to detail and requests were so great). The one thing that surprised me here was how fast they got all the food out and the quantity for the price! Decided to try them again today thinking it's been a few years and maybe they fixed things. Nope. Still stupid expensive with bad service. The waitress was inattentive and I don't know if she had a gauge on her tongue or something in her mouth but she was almost zero understandable. We would start to ask her something and she'd walk away. I had to really get loud to get her to listen to us at all. Our water was gone and no ice but she never refilled it. I had the Breakfast Burger that had dry buns, hardly anything but egg on it. No flavor. My husband had the rueben with 2 little slices of meat and an inch of sauerkraut. Tasty but not with $20. I don't think we will ever come back. Could have gotten a better breakfast burger at Denny's. The bill for 4 people who drank water and only ordered entrees was $90, at 11 in the morning. I think this is a decent spot if you stick to standards. It's clearly very popular! But I think it's important for restaurants to have quality control, and the dish I got should never be served. I ordered the Fried Truffle Egg Brioche, which is listed as "brioche, fontina cheese, asparagus, fried egg, truffle butter". Sounds good! I imagined a grilled bread with cheese, some cooked asparagus, and an egg, and some truffle flavor. What I got was 2 enormous, soft, cold pieces of bread layered with about 2 cups of chopped asparagus that was barely cooked to the point it was effectively raw (and unseasoned), topped with an egg that had a tiny bit of cheese on it. I could only eat the egg but the waiter never checked back. The bread was somehow sweet and bitter. This was such a strange dish! I don't know how anyone has liked this. The patio is cute - it's in a breezeway between the restaurant and whatever is next door so it's not just along the parking lot. Go here but stick to standard items and beware the overly creative stuff. Definitely do not get this brioche asparagus pile. read more

The food was mostly good, I particularly liked the corned beef hash. Hash browns and eggs were prepared correctly. Pancakes are way too sweet for me, even without syrup. Two bites and pass. The sausage gravy is horrible. My main issue was the service. We did have a reservation for 12. So there were the majority waiting for food as several of us had our dishes. I have been dying to try this place since it's right by our new house and today was the day. We walked in and luckily were immediately seated, but it got busy very quickly and seems to have a continuous wait the later it gets so be prepared. It's a small place and felt a little like tight quarters, but cute. Our waitress came over right away with water (cucumber water for my husband and I and a strawberry water for my kiddo). I love cucumber water but my husband is not a fan and that was simply how it was served. The menu is enormous and has lots of options so if you struggle with choices like I do, definitely look at the menu online in advance. I came in knowing I wanted to try the avocado toast, but there are tons of amazing sounding items on the menu and the waitress says many of them (highlighted in gray) are the favorites. Also, the mimosa I had was a generous pour (I would hope so for $9) and the juice was very fresh. Now the nitty gritty. Portions were pretty good for the price. Our kiddos Mickey pancake was giant, my avocado toast was two slices and absolutely covered in tons of avocado and fruit, and my husband's corned beef hash was also a pretty decent portion. The hashbrowns were a little soft and very generic, still good, but simple. The fruit on my toast was very fresh but I wish there was more of the pomegranate seeds and grapefruit, it was mostly just blueberries. The downfall of the morning and why we couldn't give a better rating? There was a broken piece of plastic in my husband's hash (which looking back you can see in the photo). They were very concerned and apologetic when we told them and ended up removing the meal from our bill (not requested or expected so very nice). After that we were a little turned off so we headed out. We would definitely go back again because the service was excellent and the food is good.
