I've been here a few times over the years and typically have a decent experience. Today, not so much. I ordered a cheesesteak melt with no mushrooms and no Swiss. When I received my "melt" there were no onions or American cheese. The server took it back to have them "remake" but when I received it, it was a cold slice of cheese split in half and a few onions on top. They didn't even attempt to warm it up and make it a "melt". Eggs Up Grill is such a beautiful gem. The name insinuates a cozy vibe which was definitely fulfilled walking in. The restaurant is very welcoming with fresh colors that are a really nice sight for tired morning eyes. We went on a weekday, so it was not too busy but that was definitely not due to the service or food. The place was clean and the service was great. Our server checked in on us multiple times and even gave us a punch card for our next visit. The food was so good and reasonably priced. I had the crab cake eggs benedict which was absolutely amazing. Typically cheaper crab cakes can taste very fishy but these were delicious and surprisingly fresh tasting. They went very well with the hollandaise sauce it was paired with. If you're a coffee drinker please try the Oatmeal cookie cold brew! It was sweet and earthy it tasted like a nostalgic oatmeal cream pie in all of the best ways. All I can say is you must turn up to eggs up grill. I've always loved Eggs Up Grill and consistently enjoyed both the food and service, which makes this review even more disappointing to write. I recently ordered the Fruit Dish for $6.49 and was shocked by what arrived. The portion came in a tiny 2x2 container and included 2 grapes, 2 thin slices of a strawberry (not even a whole one), 3 blueberries, and a sliver of melon. For the price, this portion feels incredibly misleading. If you're going to sell something this small at that cost, it's really important to list a description or portion size on the menu so customers know what they're paying for. I'm sharing this because I've always enjoyed this restaurant, but this experience was extremely disappointing. This is a good option for a quick diner type breakfast or lunch. We went on a Friday around 1230 and it wasn't busy at all. The server was friendly, though the restaurant wasn't tidy. There were many tables with dirty dishes laying around and they were in no hurry to clear tables after people left. The table we were seated at had a lot of food under the table and crumbs on the seats. The food was fine. Our favorite item were the biscuits, they seem to be griddled so we're crunchy on one side and soft on the other. Good buttery flavor. The vanilla iced coffee was way sweet, so I couldn't drink it. Hubby enjoyed his eggs Benedict with home fries. I had the egg bomb blt and it was a decent sandwich. I had ordered regula fries but got home fries. It was rectified quickly with fresh fries. My first time here and it was a dreary cold rainy Tuesday at around 8:30 am. Maybe about 15 customers in total inside. Was greeted and my drink order taken promptly. Seating and table height are both comfortable at the booths. I ordered eggs Benedict with home fries and two turkey sausage patties. From order time to it arriving at my table was about 10 reasonable minutes. The eggs were cooked to perfection, the hollandaise sauce was meh and the English muffins were not toasted properly leaving them barely luke warm. The potatoes were overly seasoned with too much paprika and were cold inside - I asked for a replacement that arrived hot. The turkey sausage was good but one patty seemed not warm enough. My friend got the French vanilla cappucino. She said it was super good. I ended up getting a regular house blend cold brew to-go once we left. I didn't like it as much as the mocha but was still delicious. The food itself was very good. I didn't find anything specifically wrong with the platter I got. If anything, most of the items were slightly above average. What we did notice was just how good the bacon was. Full of flavor. Great amount of crisp. Interesting point to make. I'm about to describe one of the worst breakfast experiences I've ever had. Came here on a Sunday. The front entryway is made up weird; there's a long desk that's supposed to be the "hostess stand," but nobody showed up for almost 15 minutes. People began to pile up by the door with limited space (thanks to this huge freaking desk!) and we all started getting mixed up on who came in first. When the hostess finally appeared and sorted things out, we were put on the wait list for a table and got a seat after a 20 minute wait. The worst part of this experience was our waitress, whose name began with a K (I'll stop short of sharing her full name). This young lady was NOT prepared to work. She was either really out of it or needs extensive training. She forgot everything from our drinks to our orders. I had to get up from the table to get help from someone else for basic things like straws/napkins and refills. She really didn't seem to have many tables, just genuinely overwhelmed by serving in general. The experience was so laughable that even SHE was laughing - almost in disbelief at HERSELF. Grand finale: the food was horrible. No exaggeration, some of the worst breakfast food I've ever had. The "Southern Bowl" I believe it was called was a heaping pile of slop - and not in a sinful, comfort food kind of way but a flavorless hodgepodge of ingredients that came out lukewarm. They even have several juice options, which us nice for me because I usually only see orange juice and apple juice. We ordered a steak and eggs and the crab benedict. I LOVE benedicts and I couldn't wait to try it. Their eggs were perfectly cooked and I savored every drop of the yolk and hollandaise sauce. I have tried to make my own sauce before and I've ruined it several times so I really appreciate the sauces even more. The fruit cup I ordered was lackluster, with fruits on the bottom already getting mushy and having a whitish film over them. It was definitely disappointing considering I paid an addition $3 for it but now I know not to order it and to recommend everyone avoid it. The steak and eggs were great - the steak was perfectly cooked and the tomato was a nice touch on top. I was actually pretty jealous once it came out because I contended with this and the crab benedict. Will be trying the next time I come here for sure! The coffee could be a bit stronger - it tastes a bit watered down which may just be a measurement issue but I drank it anyway. :) 8/10 recommend, hence the four stars! read more

Customer Service was an epic FAIL! I ordered food online through the website and it was delivered by DoorDash. I ordered two breakfast meals and a side of bacon and a separate waffle. When my order was delivered the side of bacon was placed.on top of the waffle. One would think that each item would.have their own separate containers. WRONG! I don't eat pork I called the store and stated the issue with Hunter who identified himself.as the GM. Well after speaking with him on two different occasions, I was told to call DoorDash because my order payment history wasn't showing up on their system. Even though I made the order and paid through the store website. Well I call DoorDash on three occasions only to be told the opposite and the store has my payment information and would be able to refund my money. Needless to say, I got no one and the store did not rectify the solution. I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately it was less than mediocre diner food. The server was friendly and the decorations were fine. Two of us got the chicken and biscuit platter. The chicken tenders were okay but no seasoning or anything special. The biscuit was over buttered and there wasn't enough gravy for the dish. I subbed the home fries which were pretty good and made up for the lack of flavor in the chicken. The corned beef hash was bland. The best thing was the bowl my friend got with potatoes, onions, peppers, cheese and eggs. We won't be going back. Like this morning when I ambled into this Eggs Up Grill with a big breakfast on my mind. I had been fasting since yesterday afternoon to prepare for a blood test this morning and after that ended I was ready to feast. But, the Eggs Up Grill was not ready to feast me. You see, as I entered the restaurant with visions of scrambled eggs, gravy, biscuits and sausage floating in my brain It never occurred to me my super power would kick in. It did after I was seated and I waited and waited for over 10 minutes for someone to bring me coffee and take my order, but alas, that wait was in vain. The waitstaff were all in the back near the counter chitter-chattering among themselves and did not notice me, even when I waved. I took the hint and put on my cap and split. No coffee for me. No biscuits and gravy for me - and no money for them. As for food, service and ambiance, well, I'll not even go there except to say - I never tried the food and I got no service. And ambiance without the other two are wasted. Know what I mean? Maybe you'll have better luck if you visit. I hope so. But, I'll never try it again. Forgot to take pictures. We grubhub'd two 4 serving family meals and it was GREAT. The scrambled eggs were prepared perfectly and the bacon had the perfect amount of crisp. The home fries were amazing too!! The kids are the pancakes so quickly and the biscuits were the perfect amount of fluff. It was also really fast! We went here on 07/04/2024 for some breakfast around 0800. We were one of maybe 6 or 7 tables. We ordered two kids plates ($6/each), an omelette with grits and toast on the side, and the chicken fried steak with home fries. The kids enjoyed their French toast, bacon, apple juice, and banana slices, but I tried one of the banana and it wasn't very ripe. The omelette was kinda bland, which is maybe expected at places like this, but the grits were terrible, fresh out of the box and zero flavor. Tried to doctor them up at the table but it didn't turn out. The chicken fried steak was about 3" x 3" and you could tell the fryer oil needed changed, badly. The over easy eggs were done perfectly. The home fries never came. The coffee was cold, the iced coffee was made with a pound of sugar. The business seemed to pick up as 0900 approached so maybe there are other things on the menu that shine. We will likely not return to this place due to the quality of the food coupled with the $60 bill after the 20% tip. read more

We enjoyed our first visit today and we'll definitely be going back! We did have to wait a few minutes to get seated but once we were seated and ordered, our food came out quickly. Our server, Greyson, was wonderful and attentive. In fact, the employees were all very nice and friendly, greeting regulars like you would greet an old friend. Food waa great, prices reasonable, however we went at the end of breakfast so not busy at all. Ordered coffee and it took at least 20 minutes before our server came with refills, yet she is attending to tables at the opposite end of the restaurant. I'm not a cheap skate by far, but I like my coffee and their mugs are very small, I felt cheated. I told my wife. why can't they just leave a mug of coffee with us, maybe that's how they make an extra cent. Sorry, that really bothermed me, and the well after we were done with our meals, again had to sit around waiting for the server to come over with the bill, while she was again attending to a group at the other end of the restaurant. She was just very slow, and didn't seem to know who to focus on, food was great service very sub-par. Do not sacrifice service to save money on employees or whatever the case. I have been there multiple times and every time it is a pleasure. The server (Kyonte) who I request every time I go there. Her service and friendliness are something to take note of she makes you feel so welcome. The food is tasty and always comes out hot and the presentation is good as well. I have read some negative reviews on this location but we all have to consider the lack of employment that everyone is dealing with so be patient when you come into an establishment and think about others.
