Kalua Pig Benedict
Andy V.

A visit to Waikiki wouldn't be complete without stopping by Eggs 'n Things. I've visited on my last two trips to Oahu, and every time it has always been amazing. It is a no-frills breakfast joint, and the Saratoga location is very charming, with the dining room on the second floor of a small building. It's cozy and the perfect setting for a Hawaiian breakfast. If you don't have a reservation, prepare to wait a little (usually around 15-30 minutes), but the waitlist is managed on Yelp so you can absolutely walk around a bit before getting a text to come back. The menu is full of options from more traditional American flavors to classic Hawaiian staples. On my most recent visit I ordered the eggs benedict which was served on a taro bun topped with kalua pork. It was delicious and very filling. If you order anything, a Belgian waffle topped with fresh pineapple is a must. With whipped cream and their coconut syrup, it is an indulgent treat that you can only really experience in Hawaii. The service is also wonderful. Our server was very friendly, and everything came out quickly! It isn't the cheapest breakfast around, but if you're from a big city the price probably isn't out of line from what you would find at home. For me, it's absolutely worth it and I would recommend stopping here if you get a chance.

When we travel to Oahu this is our main breakfast spot. The servers are wonderful and the open air location has nice ambiance. I recommend helping your spot in line because they do get busy! Thursday -Sunday ate the busiest. They do o breakfast and lunch only. Until next time ohana

Aloha all, The food here is incredible. I absolutely recommend going here for a legitimate authentic local breakfast. Nothing's wrong with eating at the hotels at the touristy places. You're paying for the view as far as quality of food as far as local flavors eggs and things hands-down is not only cheaper, but also more authentic than the touristy places. Yes it's not in front of the beach. You don't get to watch the sunrise or the sunset, but the breakfast is hands-down, the best, and the amount of food to give you a second to none. The fried rice here is the best on the island not even close I compare it to the fried rice at Hawaiian style Café on the big island. They are the best local fried rice in all of Hawaii both of these places. It's so good every time I come back to the islands. I ordered them to go and put it in glass containers that I'll pick up from Ross and bring it back home because of the request of the rest of the family members. It's that good and I cook a mean fried rice at home. Deathly recommend the hot chocolate the whipped cream is homemade and it's incredible hey recommend the pancakes Mac nut pancakes eggs eggs Benedict the Portuguese sausage spam bacon is really crispy and the service is friendly And you are paying at least 50% less than you'll be paying at the touristy restaurants for breakfast If you're up to it, take a walk if you're staying in one of the big name hotels just take a walk earn your appetite and walk back burn it off Highly recommend for breakfast, fried rice, pancakes, waffles, whipped cream, hot chocolate everything is there. Thank me later! Mahalo!

Breakfast food is delicious!!! Staff friendly. Ordered French toast and pancakes. Serving size is huge worth to share. However, you need to be really early cause long wait if you're not there prior to doors opening. Worth the place to have bfast in Waikiki.

One of my favorite breakfast spots in Waikiki! Definitely put yourself on the waitlist on Yelp asap as it can get busy. Thankfully as I was myself, I was able to sit on the counter. The options are endless and the service is with true aloha. What better way to spend the morning in Waikīkī with the nearby ocean breeze, delicious food, and service with a smile.

After hearing and seeing all the hype , the girls decided we will give this famous breakfast spot a try. We first went to another location closer to the resort and the host was so rude , we walked away and found this location on Yelp. I was able to use Yelp to get on the waitlist which helped shaved 29 mins off ( thankssss) Everyone at this location was friendly and engaging. I loved that this one was 2 stories with an open balcony . We ordered coffee , teas and brunch and everything was incredibly delicious that we took a to go order as well ! Mahea was our server and was such a good vibe ! We loved her !!! 10/10 all around !

Fresh fruit rainbow pancakes

This location is not my favorite; I prefer Ala Moana, but today they were closed because their power was out. The Saratoga location is smaller and parking is more difficult. I end up having to pay at the post office nearby, and the smallest number of hours you can pay for is 2 hours at over $11, so it's a ridiculous charge for parking in my opinion--and Ala Moana has free parking in their lot. Strike two: there's not only a 3% kitchen surcharge but also a 3% credit card surcharge. Why not just charge more for your food items and then pay the kitchen staff more/give them a raise? Ultimately it would be the same price but I will feel less like I am being nickel-and-dimed. Having multiple surcharges just feels different to me as a customer than paying more for my meal. I guess it's hidden costs versus up-front costs. In any case, you might not know about the kitchen surcharge until you get your receipt to check out. Ultimately, I always enjoy the food at Eggs 'n Things. The fresh fruit rainbow pancakes are some of my favorites, and the waffles are great too. The fruit is fresh and the whipped cream is a huge amount. But when I check out and not only am I paying $21.99 for my pancakes, $17.99 for my partner's waffle, nearly $10 for two coffees, and then 3% for kitchen staff, 3% for credit card surcharge, 4.712% Hawai'i sales tax, and now my meal is near $70, plus the parking next door for $11, a meal out for two people is getting dangerously close to a hundred bucks. I live in Waikiki and there are cheaper places for me to eat that are just as delicious. Eggs 'n Things, I've been coming here for years and I love you, but you are getting close to pricing me out for breakfast at your place.

Hawaiian Style Loco Moco

Unreal! Best loco moco I've had. Their sauce mixed with fresh mushrooms was so good! There's always going to be a wait so prepare for that.

Island burger! Really good BBQ sauce.

Great place to stop and get breakfast. We went there early in the morning on Sunday and the only reason they had a line was because they didn't have a ton of servers but the ones that were there did a great job. The prices are reasonable in about $20 per person not including coffee or drinks. The food was great, it's upstairs so you get a nice little view and get to feel the weather. This is my first time going, and I will definitely return.

Eggs and Bacon

We have been to the Eggs 'n Things in the Ko Olina location so many times (over the last 3 times we have been to Oahu); this was the first time at this location since we were staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Service: The service was great. Ambiance: The ambiance was nice and clean. Food: We all got our favorites and they were great: * Pancakes with strawberries and blueberries: My younger son and wife shared this and it was delicious...very VERY generous helping of the whipped cream. * Veggie Omelette: You guessed it...I got my old favorite here (with egg whites)...it was OK (I have had better but it was a generous portion!) * Eggs and bacon: My older son got the eggs and bacon and it was tasty (per him) but the portion as you will see from the pic was small. I would recommend this location but we all preferred the Ko Olina location much more. I will give it 4 stars...you should go if you are thinking about it!

Fresh Pineapple Spears

I only had the pineapples. Everything else seemed to heavy to eat at the moment My boyfriend had the burrito and he loved it I didn't snag a photo but when in Hawaii you gotta try the fruit.

Well, it wasn't the best breakfast I've had but it wasn't bad. Service was a bit slow and waiter seemed a bit disorganized (he forgot about our table at the end so we finally went up to the desk to ask for our bill). Was a bit hot inside but not too bad. Overall next time I'd skip the wait here and explore someplace new to me; there are a lot of breakfast spots in the area.

Rainbow pancakes
Angela A.

Delicious breakfast, seating for 6 took about 20 mins with the waitlist option on yelp. Two thumbs up for the Island Ahi with fried rice breakfast platter, the trio of pancakes (macadamia nut, coconut, and pineapple) and the rainbow fruit pancakes. Food came out quick!

Eggs 'n Things -Saratoga Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Eggs 'n Things -Saratoga

Do they still serve mochi waffles, or mochi pancakes?

Yes, we do. At all 4 Oahu locations.

Do they serve oatmeal?

Unfortunately they don’t serve oatmeal. But they do have a great variety of other breakfast options!

Do they still have gluten-free waffles? Somebody wrote a review about their gluten-free waffles? And does anyone know if they serve oatmeal?

Yes to oatmeal no to gluten free

Is all the seating upstairs? What if someone is in a wheelchair?

We have two tables on the first floor designated as ADA seating.

Do they do grubhub or DoorDash?

Yes, they do. As well as other delivery options.

Can you make reservations or is it waitlist/walk-in only?

Waitlist walk-in only! But you can add yourself to the waitlist on yelp to help save time before you get there

Dear Eggs & Things: If you have a reservation do you have to wait in line?…

You may, depending on when you show up and the wait list. As soon as you get there tell them you have a reservation, and they will try to seat you right away but remember there may be others with same reservation. This happened to us but it went…

Where can you park?

There are several options, and none of them are free unless you have a Handicap Parking Card, or your car is an electric vehicle. The post office paid parking is the closest, but isn't cheap. The meter parking on Saratoga is available early or…

Do they have Kamaaina discount?

Not sure. As stingy as they are I doubt they have any discounts.

Alcohol didn't light on the whole plate so only had little bit and baby couldn't have any. Think no bourbon next time. Just sprinkle some salt and it would be perf. - Chopped - All kine goodies in this salad but the dressing was very "nothing." I added some garlic salt when I ate the leftovers and it kicked it up a notch. - Chicken Pappardelle - The pasta was terrible. So thick and doughy. Took away from the chicken which was okay. Ended up dumping the leftover pasta...which was pretty much the whole thing. - Oxtail Mac & Cheese - This was more like an Oxtail Helper (like Hamburger Helper). Very not cheesey. Baby ate some but think she wanted more cheese. Tasted better the next day. Friends had the Prime. The temp on each was given to the wrong person, which needed to be right since 1 person didn't get the roasted pot. The medium-rare one was cold. Like COLD. Strange. Overall think they fell a little short on the food. Some things GREAT, some thing the opposite, so balanced out. Will I go back? Of course, but now I know what not to get.
