Anda Masala Sandwich (Indian Spicy )
Melissa L.

Eggholic has quickly become one of my favorite spots--lucky for me, it's just a couple blocks from my job! A co-worker of mine, who grew up in India, introduced me to this place, and I've been obsessed ever since. Their Indian-style street food is bursting with flavor, and the Anda Masala Sandwich (Indian spicy, of course) is hands-down my go-to. It's packed with the perfect balance of spice and comfort, and the fancy ketchup on the side is such a fun, flavorful touch. I seriously can't recommend Eggholic enough. Whether you're already a fan of Indian cuisine or just curious to try something new, this place will not disappoint!

Black Dal

A Must-Try for Indian Street Food Lovers! Growing up in Mumbai, India, street food has always been close to my heart, and EggHolic has become an absolute staple for me. Their flavors are bold, authentic, and incredibly satisfying--every single vegetarian dish I've tried has been spot on. Some of my absolute favorites: Samosa Chaat - Crispy, spicy, tangy, and loaded with chutneys--this is chaat done right! Dahi Puri - Perfect little bites of crunchy puris, cooling yogurt, and a burst of sweet and spicy chutneys. So addictive! Amdavadi Touch Sandwich - Oh my god, this one is a game-changer! Mashed potatoes, veggies, Indian sauces, and mayo all packed into a sandwich? Pure comfort food heaven. Paneer Gotala - Creamy, flavorful, and perfectly spiced paneer dish that goes so well with their soft pav. Black Dal - Rich, slow-cooked, and packed with depth of flavor--this one is a must for dal lovers. Lava Paneer Pulao - Fluffy rice, soft paneer, and an amazing balance of spices--one of my top go-to dishes. For anyone sensitive to spice, I'd recommend ordering everything mild because they definitely bring the heat! You order at the counter, and they bring the food to your table, but I also love getting it delivered--everything stays fresh and flavorful. Also, do yourself a favor and try their lassi--creamy, refreshing, and the perfect way to balance out the spice. EggHolic is a must for anyone who loves authentic Indian street food! I keep coming back, and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon!

Proof of my orders

I have been ordering from this restaurant for last 6 years. Over the period of time their quality of food, and service, has gone down. The rice stinks as if it was on floor for days. They also disregard religious beliefs as I am vegetarian (no eggs, no fish, no meat) , they deliberately sent me egg rice, even after calling and confirming with them. The more you disrespect your loyal customers the more you'll fall down

A family owned business with excellent food, kind staff, and lots of seating! As far as authentic Indian street food goes, this is your place to go! Their food is well seasoned and has a lot of spice which we loved. What I value the most is their assortment of food items from appetizers, sandwiches, wraps, and larger dishes that include both vegetarian and chicken options. They have lots of drinks and dessert options as well! We tried their Toofani curry and the Anda Masala Sandwich and absolutely loved both. The portion sizes were quite large and were enough to share with another person. We tried their chai that was sweet but had the authentic spices. Overall this is a place we would undoubtedly come again and would highly recommend for authentic Indian food!

Gotalo 2.0

This place is delicious! The vibe is nice and chill, with nice outdoor seating for the summer. The prices are very fair as well. So far I've tried the Gotalo 2.0 and the masala half fry. Both were delicious, but especially the masala half fry. It has a great flavor and the egg on top really completed the experience. I really love the chai as well and make sure to get some every time I go. This is a great spot and I hope to be back here again soon.

Veg Cheese Grill Sandwich Mango Mastani

Eggholic has really mastered Indian sandwiches. I am obsessed with their amdavadi touch sandwich. They offer different spice levels but I always stick to medium since the spicy level can be too spicy. I like their paneer toofani sandwich as well, but it is no match to their amdavadi touch sandwich. Their mango mastani is out of this world. It is so thick and creamy. I love the fact that it comes loaded with pistachios. Their lava paneer pulav is too spicy for me. They also offer various other egg curies, veg curries, chaat and pulav, but amdavadi touch is my absolute favorite so far. I haven't been to the restaurant in person so I can't really comment on the service and the ambience.

Paneer Paneer Tikka Wrap

I recently visited EggHolic with a friend to try their Vada Pav and Chai on a gloomy rainy evening. Both were good, I like the Vada Pav had spicy chutney all over it, and reminded me a bit of Bombay. The only disappointment was that they did not have plant based milk alternatives for the chai.

Whenever I'm busy at work and can't cook but crave Indian food, I always order from Eggholic through Uber Eats. I can't comment on the ambiance since I've never been there. My go-to order is the Amdavadi touch sandwich, masala chaas, paneer tikka wrap, and mango lassi. I've ordered these many times and they're always great. If you don't like spicy food, go for mild, but even that's a bit spicy. I definitely recommend trying their food.

Paneer Masala Sandwich

Eggholic has got to be one of the best Indian restaurants in the city when it comes to taste. The location itself is pretty lowkey and is not a sit down restaurant really because you order at the front and seat yourself, but the food is amazing. My personal favorite was the lava pulav. I'm usually not a huge fan of cheese in general, but I really loved this dish a lot. I tried 4 or 5 different dishes and loved them all. Their masala chai is also amazing and a must try!

Sorry for review but ,the rice quantity is tooo low and they charge 18$. But taste is good

Bhel

Amazing Indian restaurant that offers Ahemdabadi/Surati food items and egg specialties. I have tried several items on the menu (online order+dine in) and they were super delish. I especially like their sandwiches and Bhel. Also tried Surati Gotalo which is like egg curry (pretty good) and boiled kheemo which has shredded boiled eggs. Always enjoy trying new items on the menu!

Paneer Masala
Suhani A.

This place is great for fast food vibes! It's not restaurant style, but has a few tables and has Indian music playing. The pani puri was not great as the pani was too spicy and not actually flavorful. I did like the bhel and loved the paneer masala sandwich! The paneer masala sandwich is the exact type of sandwich you'd get in India where there's lots of mayo. Overall, it was pretty good and I had a great time!

Amdavadi Touch Sandwich

Look no further, if you're craving Indian style sandwiches! Eggoholic offers authentic flavorful Indian street food. I have tried chicken masala sandwich, amdavadi touch sandwich, mango mastani. Their sandwiches typically come with small pack of classic lays. And usually these are my go-to items for ordering in. Mango mastani has lassi with nuts and ice cream. It's extremely rich in taste and yummy. I have also tried anda pulav, lava pulav, methi mutter malai and few other curries in the past. The food here definitely has authentic Indian spice taste. Beware of the spice levels though. If you don't have high tolerance for spice, they have mild and no spice options to choose. The ambience is very much casual, chill and cafe like. You have to order at the counter but you will get a table side service when the food comes in, if you're dining at the place. The service is usually quick. I recommend this place!

The winner of Season 4 of Top Chef and the first female winner in the show's history, she has built a restaurant that continues to impress us every single time we visit Chicagoat. Be sure to make your reservation in advance because you will not be seated without one due to its popularity among both locals and tourists. We come here every time we visit Chicagoat. The food is absolutely amazing. We had the following dishes: 1. Roasted Pig Face Straw fries topped with roasted pork face, a sunny egg, and a collection of magical sauces that somehow transform into pure comfort when mixed together. I don't even know exactly what's in the sauce, but I don't need to know. This dish is divine and an absolute must-order. The crispy fries, rich and tender pork that practically melts apart, silky egg yolk, and savory sauce create a dish that is indulgent, comforting, and ridiculously delicious 2. Green Beans Not featured in the photo because we ate them too fast. Enough said. Get them. 3. Goat Mousse The menu changes periodically, so this was a new dish for us. The goat mousse was creamy, rich, and surprisingly light, served with sweet jam, crumpets, crackers, pickles, and giardiniera. The contrast of sweet, tangy, creamy, crunchy, and savory flavors creates a little flavor party in your mouth. Every bite can be customized differently, which made this dish especially fun to share. 4. Pork Belly & Watermelon Perfectly cooked pork belly with a crisp exterior and rich, savory flavor, balanced beautifully by refreshing watermelon cubes and fresh greens. I don't know how healthy it is, but we aren't here for health. We're here for flavor. We're here for comfort. We're here to be punched in the soul with food that we will never forget! The sweet, juicy watermelon cuts through the richness of the pork belly and creates a combination that sounds unusual but works incredibly well. 5. Halibut with Thai Sprouts A beautifully cooked piece of halibut served with Thai sprouts, miso marcona butter, and blueberry fish sauce. Yes, blueberry fish sauce. And yes, it works. The fish was flaky, buttery, and perfectly cooked. The savory umami from the miso butter paired with the subtle sweetness and acidity from the fish sauce created a combination that was balanced, and memorable yet surprising to me. The restaurant itself has a dark, energetic atmosphere and is always packed. The tables are definitely close together, but given how popular the restaurant is, I understand why they maximize the space. Absolutely recommend coming here. Your tummies won't regret it.

It was so fun to chat with the chefs and watch them prepare dishes. I ordered the roasted "pig face" potatoes and the famous sautéed green beans. While waiting for my food, the chef surprised me with complimentary chickpea fritters to try. All of the dishes tasted incredibly delicious and this was the best restaurant I ate at during my trip. The atmosphere was cozy and romantic. I would definitely dine here again the next time I am in Chicago.
