If you love sponge cakes you would love soufflé pancakes. Soft fluffy and disappears in your mouth. It's super light and airy, anyone can finish an order of 2 pancakes. It surprised my how much I enjoyed the pancakes. The crepe brûlée was my favorite, mostly because I like custard. The green tea crepe was as green tea always is, perfect. The mango one was good but not too big a fan of the cream cheese whipped topping. I would come back daily if only the price was slightly little lower. read more

Eggcellent Souffle Pancake - Desserts Near Me - Flushing, New York

I came across souffle pancakes on Instagram several years ago and was surprised to find a lack of options in NYC at the time. I gave making fluffy pancakes at home the old college try but despite getting the flavors right, I could never achieve that Instagram Boomerang worthy bounce or the cotton candy softness. Eggcellent manages to add plenty of flavor to their souffle pancakes while delivering perfectly delicate softness and bounce resulting in a delightful treat. Everything is made to order so you may have to wait anywhere from 15-30 minutes, but you can watch as the staff create these fluffy pancakes of goodness from scratch. My personal favorite is the mango yogurt soufflé, which tastes fresh and light without being too sweet, but the chocolate banana is also quite good if you're feeling naughty and want a sweet treat. Muy bueno! Definitely worth a wait and delivers across the board! read more

If you are driving then you should park in the JMart parking garage which is next to nature republic. I do not like other people driving my car so I always go to this garage since it is self parking. After parking it's just a few minute walk to this place. Also you can get your parking validated I believe if you purchase a certain amount at Jmart. It's a bit tricky to find but if you look at signs that are hanging above you then it should be simple. When you enter just walk past the other stores and it should be at the end. We ordered: strawberry blueberry yogurt souffle pancake I have to say that these souffles are fire. They were so soft and each bite melts in your mouth. It takes about 15-20minutes to make. I wish that it was cooked a bit longer since it was a bit raw still however it was still tasty. I recommend that you try it. It was a good experience. I would definitely come back to try the other flavors. read more

Their jiggly Japanese Soufflé pancakes make the trek to Flushing, Queens worth it. The phat stacks are soft to bite into and mousse-like on the inside!! The creme brûlée flavor has a crunchy exterior and comes with a dollop of whipped cream with mint- YUM!! The wait is 20-30 minutes, so there's plenty of time to find other snacks from street vendors in the area ;) read more

Eggcellent Souffle Pancake is located inside a mini food court. When you order from the stand, they will give you a number. The pancakes take about 15 minutes to make. There are a bit of seating upstairs. I imagine weekends to be a bit brutal, but weekdays to be easy to find seating. I was so hopeful when trying this place that this would be identical to all the pancakes I've had in Japan, but like others have expressed, it is pure disappointment. My friends are I ordered a bubble tea souffle pancake and the original souffle pancake. The thing is it looks extremely fluffy and looks promising, but looks are deceiving. There is absolutely no flavor in it and feels completely undercooked. If i had to guess, it was the same egg waffle batter that was used to make the pancakes, which is just not the same! read more

Honestly my favorite souffle pancake place I've had in NYC! Some of the other reviews are right that this place does seem a little egg-y or a little "raw", but in my opinion.. that's what makes the souffle pancake super soft/moist and that's how I like it. My friends I came with also seemed to really like it!! The beijing yogurt that comes with some of the souffle pancakes also adds a nice little tart touch! Don't expect some American yogurt that's sweet or vanilla flavored. It'd be super cool if this place added ice cream scoops for extra money or could somehow make their souffle pancakes faster, but regardless every pancake was amazing. read more

If you want some of the best-tasting pancakes that are soft, creamy, airy and jiggly but not too sweet, these little eggy cloud puffs are incredibly yummy. They come out as a pair for an order. Great for sharing. I hate sharing but I kinda have to now since I got a wife and a 2 year old kid. Sharing is caring! :) Even if there is no line, you're gonna have to wait for your souffle pancake. It takes about 15 minutes for them to handcraft one for you. It's actually worth the wait believe it or not. I went with the original version which comes with some sexy maple cream. The creme brulee and mango yogurt looks pretty tasty as well. Kinda wish I lived closer to Flushing so I could come here every other day. read more

Combining a few of my favorite foods. Eggs, pancakes and yogurt, it was only a matter of time I made my way to Eggcellent. The menu selection has a diverse and unique set of souffle pancake combinations. From creme brulee, mango, to my favorite strawberry blueberry yogurt, these are but a few of what's available. I appreciated the creamy soft texture and mix of flavors. The souffle pancakes taste fantastic! When I get that sugar craving, I'm glad I now have the option to add a souffle pancake to the menu. I will be coming back to try everything =)) read more

Eggcellent Souffle Pancakes have brought the trendy Japanese souffle pancakes to Flushing! These fluffy pancakes have been viral for a while now, so Eggcellent happens to be the place where I finally got to try them. I came here with a group of friends, so we ordered three: the Original, Mango Yogurt, and Strawberry Blueberry Yogurt. All three were delicate and flavorful in their own ways and of course, they all have the marquee jiggle that comes with the souffle pancake. The fruity pancakes were great, as the natural sweetness of the fruits pair well with the creaminess of the pancake. However, I actually enjoyed the original one as well, as the sweet cream by itself is enough, though I do like the slight tartness that the blueberries give to contrast with the sweetness of the pancakes. The pancake itself reminds me of the Chinese sponge cake, but fluffier! Overall, I would definitely say that the pancakes are worth a try if you haven't had them before. I haven't had a chance to compare Eggcellent with other places that make souffle pancakes, but the ones I've had were great for dessert and not heavy at all. One order might be enough for 2 to 3 people though. Be warned, as the pancakes do take 10 to 15 minutes to make and perhaps more, depending on how many you order. If you have the time and patience, it can be a nice dessert to have after dinner, as there is a seating area across from the stall and additional seating can be found upstairs as well. read more

The Maple Souffle Pancake was extremely soft and fluffy but I wish I picked a different flavor. The plain flavor made the pancake taste too egg like for me. While, the green tea and red bean flavor helped mask that taste out. For the first time, I had egg bubble waffles in the flavor of purple yam. It was quite scrumptious with a crispy outter layer and chewy, doughy, and soft insides. I was recommended this because it was popular and it was worth every bite. I will definitely be going back for the purple yam waffles. They have a $10 minimum on card so just be aware of that. The workers are sweet and you get a buzzer for when your food is ready. It took about fifteen minutes to prepare everything so be aware of that plus if there were anyone in front of you. read more

The store is tucked inside a food hall, you won't see a store front but it's not hard to find at all. The original is just as good and don't need a whole ton of toppings. It comes with the maple cream which pairs extremely well. It's a bit pricey when the pancake is so light and not filling. Still a very good dish and I would definitely get another. The original cost $9.25 including tax. The cashier miscounted my change TWICE within the same transaction (first time I'm short $11 and I confronted her immediately and the second time I'm still short $0.25 but left already) so make sure to double check yours! read more

The souffle pancakes looks great in picture and in person. Texture of the pancakes is unique, its light, soft and fluffy. However it does not have much flavor therefore most of the flavor comes from the toppings. They also sell egg waffles. The original eggies are sweet enough without condiments. Biodegradable forks and spoons!!! Located in the back of the small food area. Additional seats are upstairs. Bathroom on the left of the store, need a key to open. read more

Cannot resist the fluffiness of the pancake!! The wait is quite long though even though when we ordered, there was no one in front of me. Personally I feel like they usually wait for 2 orders so they can make 4 pancakes at once. The family placed the order after us was like 5 mins after we had placed ours. However, they received the pancake at the same time as us (20 mins+ later). Aside from the service being slow, the pancake itself was delicious, it's super soft inside which at one point we even questioned is this fully cooked? In addition, we ordered an egg banana bubble waffle, so yummy and with the promotion, it's half price. It's almost as good as the pancake itself. It still tasted good even after a day later (we were too full from lunch and the pancake) Will come back to try more other flavors and hoping the wait can be shorter. read more

More like 3.5 but would round up because it was pretty good. I got creme brûlée Souffle pancakes. The pancakes were light and had a nice amount of creme brûlée on top. They stacked two pancakes on top of each other. Added the sauce and brown sugar and torched it. At the same time, another worker was making another creme brûlée order and separated the two pancakes and added sauce, and brown sugar to each pancake individually and torched it. I think that's more untraditional from what was set on the menu, but I would've preferred that way better. In terms of taste, pancakes were light and fluffy and the egg flavor was not overwhelmingly eggy tasting (which other fluffy pancake places tend to be). It came with whipped cream which I really liked. It provided a cooling contrast to the warm pancakes. I often don't like whipped cream, but this was really light and a nice touch. Downsides: waited 40 min for our order when cashier said it'd be 15-20 min. And it was quite pricey (8.50 for the creme brûlée). The other pancakes ranged from about $8-9.50. read more

Egg waffles. I am obsessed with them. You want some? Go here!!!! I will warn you that the wait time is about 10-15 minutes. But if you want a good egg waffle then you better wait, sis! Heaven in my mouth! I have only had one other souffle pancake before this, but honestly this place's pancakes were delicious. Just like how it looks, the pancake was so light and melts in your mouth. This was delicious! The pancake was light, fluffy and incredibly flavorful without it being overbearing. My friends ordered the Original Pancake and the Matcha Pancake and they loved it. And trust me, they were hating about having to go. They are every bite after swearing they'd eat just one pancake. I can't eat dairy so pancakes were not for me -sigh- but I had the waffle without tummy troubles which is nice. The chocolate matcha was alright but next time I'll try the plain matcha or purple yam! I wish I had that pancake. I'll definitely show some more friends that place! Bear in mind, they sell out of flavors and there is a moderate wait time. read more

Delicious. It comes with two pancakes. Tried the strawberry and also the mago flavor. They are great but taste more like cake than dessert pancake . It's missing syrup or something which it isn't served with. The mango one less so bc it is drizzled with a sort of mago sauce. They serve these on small paper trays and wooden forks which I appreciated. The wait was 20 minutes exactly. We came at opening. Parking is dreadful so beware. It is in a small food court type location with other places that serve different food. There is seating upstairs (20 ppl). Low key place for quick bite. They take card and cash. Real fresh fruit used is a plus read more

IT'S SO FLUFFY! I can watch them make these pancakes all day. It does take about 15 minutes for them to make and decorate, but it is totally worth it! You know it is fresh and waiting for something will make you devour it faster because you'll be hooked after the first bite! It is egg-y in taste so it's not your average pancake batter you may be used to. It is a Souffle Pancake and not a pancake from IHOP. My goal is to try all the flavor, but my favorite by far has been the creme brulee one! They also announced their bubble waffles too! Theses are great to snack on and share. read more

This place is tucked in the back of Yi Fang Taiwan Fruit Tea (and also shares the space with Flushing Ice Cream - it's the perfect spot for dessert if your party can't decide what they want). We ordered the creme brulee pancake ($9) and ordered boba from Yi fang while we waited about 15 min. There was no line for pancakes (unlike at Taiyaki), thank goodness. The pancake was soft and jiggly, but did not taste like creme brulee at all. It just tasted like a creamy sauce with a torched top. It was still delicious. The group next to us raved about the strawberry yogurt one so maybe I'll try that one next. read more

I've been wanting to try a souffle for a while now and I came across this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. i dont know how a authentic good souffle is supposed to taste like but I would give it a 5/5 for its presentation and 3/5 for the taste because it is a little TOO moist inside and i believe it's not suppose to be this moist and undercooked. I'd recommend it if you just wanted to give it a try and see the souffle bounce! Expect to wait for a WHILE tho. It wouldve been nice if they told me it would be a 20 min wait when I ordered. Would rate it a 3.5 for that but they just opened so I hope they'll start telling their customers that. read more

As of this review there is no indoor dining allowed. All employees wear masks and gloves and keep distance from customers. There is more than one Japanese Souffle pancake place in NY and Eggcellent has become pretty well known to the local residents as they have been there for over a year. This particular one is located in Flushing inside an establishment called Foodie Town (there is a Yifang Tea shop, Legend Chicken, Flushing Ice Cream Factory, Lobster Roll and Tater Tot vendor). Their space is near the end of the hallway on the left side (just past Flushing ice cream). There is a small waiting area adjacent to Eggcellent that you can sit while they make your order. Their particular space actually looks very cool in my opinion. The employees work behind a see through glass area where you get to witness the process of then creating the desserts. They have quite a few different pancake options. Strawberry, Créme Brûlée, boba milk tea and the original are some personal favorites. These Japanese style soufflé pancakes are usually very fluffy and they jiggle! They also have the well known Hong Kong bubble waffles in flavors such as purple yam, matcha and chocolate. They recently added cream puffs to the menu which come in quite a few different flavor fillings such as matcha, strawberry, mango, chocolate and custard. The cream puffs are made to order and they only have a limited amount per day. The employees that work here are some of the nicest people that I have met. Right now Toby is in charge of the shop and always welcomes me with a smile ( I can still see when she is smiling underneath the medical mask) when I have time to visit. Jessica is very courteous and works very diligently. There are times when it gets very busy with delivery orders or last minute walk ins and they have their special productivity method. They both work very well together to prep all the orders in a timely manner. Special mention goes to Cici who is away at the moment. I hope she can return soon. The average wait time for the soufflé pancakes is approximately 15-20 mins when you place your order. Since the ingredients are egg based they recommended eating within 30 mins of receiving your order. The HK egg waffles come in two versions ( just plain form or special orders with toppings ). You can order online for delivery or call in your order ahead of time for pick up as opposed to just walking in to order. There used to seating upstairs where you could bring your pancake or waffles to enjoy but as with current regulations all orders are for take out or delivery. Please continue to support your local businesses. read more

Great overall. Had the tiramisu soufflé pancake which was ready instantly, to my surprise. I was expecting a 15-20 minute wait based on the previous reviews. I wanted to try the strawberry blueberry cream soufflé but unfortunately they ran out for the day. Maybe next time! read more

Stumbled upon this place walking from Skyview mall. The stands in this foodhall were definitely different from when I was last in here, so this place took me by surprise. I never had a soufflé pancake before so I was intrigued. I got myself a creme brûlée one. As expected, it did come with a bit of a wait, also considering I walked in when they just opened. They do warn you about a wait so don't be surprised if it does happen :) it was a very delicious bite. Reminds me of a super fluffy sponge cake. I loved the sugar crust of the creme brûlée. The cream is on the sweeter side but altogether nicely put together. I really enjoyed it. Definitely yummy enough to try again but not something that necessarily swept me off my feet, personally. read more

I got the egg waffles - original and matcha chocolate. I love this so much from my childhood! This one is crispy on the outside and slightly wet on the inside (rather than dry and cakey). This is close to how I had it growing up, so I really enjoyed it. The original was nostalgic. The matcha chocolate had tons of matcha flavor - almost bitter - with bits of chocolate. The matcha chocolate one was really good with some black sesame ice cream. The shop was a little hard to find. It's in a narrow building with other food shops, and it's all the way in the back (past the bubble tea and ice cream shops). Would come back! :) read more

Not that eggcellent in my opinion. I tried the creme brulee souffle pancake. Pro was that it came out pretty quickly. Con was that it was a cold pancake. I'm not sure if their other pancakes are made to order and hot, but the coldness of the pancake just accentuated its eggy taste. The creme brulee cream was not bad, and the caramelized sugar was good, but those are hard to mess up. Also, presentation wise, the brulee layer looked pretty sad when we opened the box haha. read more

REALLY good souffle pancakes. They're very careful about it; as they were assembling everything together I saw they would even wait a bit before putting the second pancake on top of the first one just so the first wouldn't deflate. Service was terrible. Long waiting time for 3 small cakes. Not worth waiting for almost 30 minutes.

Hand sanitizer was offered and the employees were all wearing masks and gloves. The store is located at the end of a food hall with many other stalls. The pancakes were so fluffy and soft.
