Pancakes, pork belly Benedict, and BREAKFAST TACOS
Hanna K.

Always a great brunch spot! Love the food and atmosphere. Small menu but they do everything 10/10. You can't go without getting a Benedict... Specifically the pork belly one. It's on top of corn bread and will change your life.

I came here for brunch with my Dad, bonus mom and sister because I saw they had a frozen espresso martini, and I have to try it. They had a small weight but nothing too long maybe five minutes and then we were seated. This place is small, but cute and the service was great. I loved the frozen espresso martini and the food was cooked to perfection. Next time I'm home I will visit.

Great food. Service was excellent. We got here at about eleven on a Tuesday morning and were seated quickly. The server was attentive and very helpful. Had a salmon omelet, mussels and grits, French toast, and the cornbread Benedict. All of the meals were excellent.

Egg is the perfect name for this Benton Park spot. Eggs as a food staple seem simple and straightforward, but they're almost magical in all of the ways they can be used. From the outside, Egg the restaurant looks unassuming, but the moment you open the door and see the lovely and interesting decor and smell the aromas from the kitchen, you know it is something special as well. The owner is very welcoming, as if he is inviting you to his home, which is lovely. We ordered the Chakchouka with merguez and the ojja with shrimp. Both were completely delicious. I added a turmeric latte, which was unique and so warming. There are so many more items on the menu I want to try, so I know I'll be back soon--but it'll be hard for Mr not to order the ojja again; it was so good!

I'm obsessed with Egg. I frequent both locations. When I am looking for some great food to help me feel happy, Egg is one of the first thoughts that comes in my mind. I love bringing people here. I always get great service and the food comes out fast. There is commonly plenty of room at the bar, if you can't get a table. One thing that I like about this location is the look of the place - it's small, but the artistic nature of it is visually pleasing.

It was so delicious! I can't wait to go back and try something else on menu. It all looked and smelled incredible.

Lovely service from a great server who gave my party a complimentary shot of the good stuff. We came at a great time when it wasn't busy, enjoyed ourselves and the delicious food. Will go again, and again, and again. The Best Brunch Spot in STL

Shrimp and grits

Ask about the special! Shrimp and grits was not on the menu but it was an eggceptional special. The shrimp were cooked perfectly but could use 2 more pieces. It's flavorful and slightly spicy. My first visit but not the last. All the dishes that came out were a big portion. The service was good. There is no cold/ice coffee. They serve alcohol with bar seating. A bit small, not best for a large party. They opened at 9am and full by 10.

Pork belly cornbread Benedict

I got brunch at this place recently with a friend on a Sunday morning around 10. She had the mahi-mahi Benedict and I had the cornbread pork belly Benedict. Neither one disappointed. I'm not a big fan of breakfast potatoes but I do love theirs for some reason. Our server was also the bartender and while he wasn't super friendly, he was attentive and took care of everything we needed. The only minus to this place is they don't have a solid host game. When you walk in, no one tends to pay attention or come over to seat you. I walked and waited for a few minutes, then walked up to the bar and asked if bar was open seat seating and he said no sorry though please wait to be seated sign isn't up. He seemed slightly annoyed that I even asked, but I had been standing there for a few minutes and I know he saw me. He immediately said to me at a table, but the people behind me were all still just standing there and he did not even address them. I get it. He was kind of the only one available, but I would at least yell to the people at the front, I'll be right with you so they at least feel acknowledged.

Tostadas with chorizo. The Verda sauce on top was spicy but once mixed in with the beans and egg yolk mellowed to just a flavorful spice.

Brunch after Tower grove market. A easy drive from the park. Sign/location a little difficult to see from the street. Cosy seating. Aztec art. Service was friendly and quick with seating, drinks and food. Meals ordered- tostadas, pulled pork hash and French toast. The French toast was fluffy and sweet and a great chase to the more spiced and savory items.

Cornbread Benedict

I've loved egg for years! The food genuinely is so good. The menu isn't huge but everything is a big hit. The pancakes are super buttery and I love the fresh fruit. First time trying the cornbread Benedict and it's so flavorful. I love the service. Owner walks around and makes sure everyone is happy.

We went on a Wed morning based on the reviews, and was not disappointed. The weekday menu is different from the weekend menu. We were the only ones there and the service was attentive and served quickly but cooked to order. I felt like I was eating breakfast in Mexico with the decoration and food. The homemade pancakes were the best I've had Good size portions - we didn't leave hungry!

Out of the norm kind of place built on what used to be industrial I imagine. You walk in and immediately your sense go wild. The 'food smells' were alluring and hit my endorphins like a Mike Tyson punch. Bam!!! The food was amazing I had the corn bread Benedict. Delish! Kids had scrambled eggs and bacon. Def amazing bacon. My other daughter had the tostado and really enjoyed it. To not off with Mexican Coles and we have a winner. The only down side was the service. The waitress basically ignored us after she took the order... literally. I tried to get her attention for ketchup, napkins, a refill of my first coffee. Eventually had to wave down another. It wasn't that busy where I would ignore it. The food outweighed the service so I am still giving it 5 stars.

Obsessed with the creativity and deliciousness with everything on the menu - from a tumeric latter to a braised beef grits breakfast.

Really good and worth coming! French Toast is amazing and I loved the thick cut bacon! Try a specialty coffee drink here too.

I was elated to see this was a woman and black-owned business so naturally I wanted to come support. I got there right when they opened and was blown away by plants (in a good way) and everything the space encompassed. The person behind the register quickly greeted me and asked if I was looking for anything in particular. I mentioned I saw this featured on the Stl Bucket list instagram post and wanted to check out their juices. Unfortunately, I caught them at a bad time since they hadn't yet restocked but would be doing that later. She explained they just had their grand opening on the first, and that this space used to be something else. While the instagram post was nice, it didn't do it justice. This place literally has something for everyone, especially those with green thumbs and a taste for all things tea/coffee. They even have crystals, art featured by local artists, candles, and snacks!! I forgot the reason but at the moment, the smoothies and shots were u/a. Since I came there for the juice, I decided to get the Beet Happy. As I was asking her what she thought about each one, I couldn't remember what a beet tasted like or if I had ever had one for that matter. She said they have more of a metallic taste but when mixed in with the rest of the ingredients, you can't even taste it. Additionally, the one I chose was on the sweet side, so at that moment I was sold. I too my first sip and was in love. This tasted incredible and was even better than I was hoping for! It was fresh and something I could have devoured in ten seconds, but opted not to so I could truly savor the taste. I can't wait to come back to try their smoothies and other juices. This place is open every day except for Monday, so hurry up and give them a try!

I wasn't greeted when I entered and I didn't see a food menu, so I chose from the baked items in cases on the counter. The drink menu included many temping items, and a list of tea varieties was on the counter. Later, I noticed an LED screen was changing displays and did include some breakfast sandwich items that I missed. Maybe next time! My latte was good. The bacon cheddar scone was served at room temp and did not seem fully cooked; it had sticky batter in the middle. Unless I missed an adjoining room, seating is limited to counter stools and tables for two-- both high top and low options. There's plenty of outdoor seating, though it wasn't shaded when I visited. Several people were working at computers in the morning I dropped by, and a few tables of two were talking. I think it would be a stretch to have a larger group in the space.
