Wait was about 40 minutes but you can get on the waitlist. Place is super popular. Waitlist timing was pretty accurate so you can do other things while waiting. Beautiful on the inside. Very clean. Love the decor. Being so popular, they have to move people in and out fast, but our food did take awhile for breakfast. Didn't bother us. I went healthy with an omelette. It was tasty. 3 out of the 5 of us ordered the s'mores pancakes. It's freakin' huge! Could be shared by 3 people. We understand why this place is popular.

Food was delicious coffee was amazing. Great service, food came out fast. Would go back again and again. Vibe and decor were very cute and welcoming.

We had a party of 18 celebrating graduation and our service and food was outstanding! Chicken and waffles 9/10 Steak and eggs 9/10 Scrambled eggs with turkey sausage and hashbrowns 8/10 Skillet 9/10 Expresso cappuccino was outstanding 10/10 Blueberry cheesecake, pancake pancakes 7/10 way too much blueberries and cream cheese. The ratio of pancake to the blueberries and cream cheese did not match. Our waiter was absolutely amazing. He took care of our every needs, including those that were being very particular. I asked for sourdough bread and they actually had it! The ambience was modern upscale and they had this amazing experience where they brought over edible bubbles to the table very charming and interesting twist - the waiter would shoot the bubbles up in the air from a machine and then you'd have to catch them in your mouth. Overall great experience, excellent food, and not heavy on the wallet. If I were in town again, I definitely would make a pitstop at Egg Republic.

Visited on a Sunday morning, we tried to use the on line wait list but it wasn't taking names at the time. When we arrived we were quoted a 20 min wait for a table for 2 with 7 parties in front of us and we ended up being seated after about 15 minutes. Ordered a spicy Bloody Mary and it was just meh, not very spicy at all. The fig omelet was very good, very fluffy with havarti cheese, scallions, and honey, topped with prosciutto, and fig jam. The fig jam added a very nice sweetness to the omelette. The traditional egg breakfast was nothing special, eggs were a little dense, and hash browns had no distinct flavor. Food came quickly once ordered but the service was a little slow although that could have been to it being a very busy time.

The Corned Beef Hash was homemade and nice, but I wish it also included some onions and peppers to kick it up a notch.

Good breakfast. There is always a wait to be seated, even on a Monday. Don't let them fool you and claim that you'll be seated soon. You'll wait at least 25 minutes on a good day, and up to an hour on a busy day. One of the biggest problems is that they don't have any 2-top tables. So you have one or two people sitting at 4-top tables. The Corned Beef Hash was homemade and nice, but I wish it also included some onions and peppers to kick it up a notch. The pancakes were average. Next time I'll try a different egg dish and I'll try the waffles as they looked pretty good as a trio of small discs. My wife loved the Chilaquiles. However she noted that unlike the menu description, it actually came with green sauce and chunks of chicken. The coffee was average. They have a fun robot that brings the food to the tables.

We were warmly welcomed by our server, Savanah R. She continued to stop by to check in on us throughout our breakfast. The food we received was both very beautifully presented and more importantly quite delicious. My wife had the Classic Eggs Benedict with Hash Browns. I ordered the Southern Platter; a wonderful meal containing fried potatoes, green peppers, onions topped with two biscuits and gravy, and eggs of your choice. I chose scrambled. When you do stop by for breakfast or brunch watch for the robot delivering to the larger tables. It's quite amusing.

Annoyingly delusional prices but egg inflation or something, Egg Republic? More like Egg Axis! Oh well, the thumping music called us to the bar, as there wasn't anywhere else to sit and a twenty minutes wait for regular tables. My friend and I tried to order beverages but fourteen big ones for a mimosa? No wonder Illinois legalized that plant stuff! I'd need medication dropping thirty bucks just for a couple bubbly flutes. Again oh well, the trance tunes played on and he went for the French omelet and me the shrimp and grits. This place hustles something fierce. None stop action and piles of bar beverages moving all directions, they could sponsor some food banks just with a live feed of the barista. Our entrees showed up as full eye candy, look at those photos, as men do we both went quiet to savor. It's all the right stuff. Of course way small for these prices, don't forget that obnoxious Bloomington twelve percent restaurant tax. I'm glad I live in Indiana, until I save up for round two that is!

Charming modern farmhouse aesthetic - light wood, black and white accents. There are sound dampening features which is great! The servers are friendly and energetic. The food - lavender mimosa is delicious, crisp and refreshing. Green juice is fresh and bright. The bacon adds s crispy and flavorful element. my sister had a skillet that did not look greasy, but did evoke moans of joy. I had avocado toast and it was good n only complaint was that the whites of the poached eggs were not set. Would definitely return to this restaurant.

This place was great! The charcuterie omelette was sweet from the fig jam, salty from the prosciutto and crunchy from the pistachios. The havarti cheese was melted throughout & it was seasoned perfectly. The fruit was fresh, and the gluten free toast with whipped butter was excellent. And their decor was on point. The staff was great-- maybe could use a little customer service training or training on knowing the menu better. Definitely would recommend! read more

My partner, mother-in-law and I had breakfast/brunch at Egg Republic today. The coffee and cocktails were great! The food was outstanding. The service was warm and friendly. I had Shakshuka for the first time ever - and, not only was it delicious - I learned that it is a breakfast found in Israel and other parts of the Middle East and North Africa. So cool!! The decor is modern and chic - and the high class ambiance is totally hip. Egg Republic got our foodie self's excited!! Great place! Can't wait to go back!! read more

Let's start with the service! The best service I've had at a restaurant I think ever! The owner goes around checking to make sure everyone's OK and the hostess had a smile on her face the entire time I was there. I can understand why the wait is so long. We came in from Indianapolis for a wedding and found this restaurant and I would drive the 2 and ahalf hours again just to go back. Not only was our waiter Amazing but all the other waiters and food runners came around to make sure our drinks were full and we enjoyed our food. As for the food lets start with the chicken fried bacon!!! The only way I want my bacon from now on. It was so crispy and good and the gravy put it over the top! 10 out of 10 highly recommend! The waffles and pancakes were also fluffy and delicious. The mimosas are also must have ! I got the pineapple, strawberry and cotton candy. Cotton candy was absolutely my favorite. I can't wait to go back. read more

We had no wait.it was super chill and a robot delivered are food.and this guy sprayed edible bubbles in are mouth. The French toast was amazing.it had an edible flower on top. And it was super good. With so much stuff on it, it was like a super French toast. And the hot cocoa was super fancy with amazing toppings. Best hot cocoa I ever had. Some of the toppings on the hot cocoa was chocolate,and marshmallows. Recommend everything on the menu. read more

I went to Egg Republic for a late breakfast today. Ordered eggs over medium, bacon fried crisp, and a half a waffle. The egg came out extremely runny and the bacon was floppy, not at all crispy and there was no butter or syrup for the waffle. I flagged down the waiter and asked him if the egg and bacon could be cooked more and if I could get butter and syrup. He argued with me that the egg was over medium, but it wasn't even close. Anyway, he took the plate with the eggs and bacon away and left me with the waffles. I asked again if I could have syrup. He finally brought some. I cut into the waffle only to find the middle was full of raw batter. I didn't have the heart to say anything about that since I'd already asked to have the eggs and bacon redone. If a breakfast place can't make decent eggs, bacon, or waffles that is not a good sign. And their food isn't cheap either. read more

Excellent food, service and ambiance, and easy access from 55 business route, we stopped for a late breakfast, food was perfect, we had veggie omelette and chilaquitos, I'll include pictures, portions were very satisfying, staff was friendly and food was fast and fresh. This restaurant is very good. Many tasty food choices to choose from. Has a great atmosphere and the service was excellent. I would definitely recommend going here for breakfast. Can't go wrong with any of the breakfast menu items. I have not tried their lunch options yet but the menu looks delicious. The chicken fried bacon is primo stuff. Don't get ice tea, unless you want to spend $4. If you want something fancy and different, then this is the place. For regular breakfast item while not paying a lot, other places in town are better in my opinion. Even fast food breakfast, would be better. The look of the place is better, but extremely loud. Neither my friend's eggs or mine were cooked correctly. Sad. I would think with egg in your name at least it could be cooked correctly. read more

I always look for a unique place to eat when I visit a town. This restaurant didn't disappoint. I sat at the counter as I was alone. The bartender provided a menu and silverware right away. The service was quick. I ordered a cheese omelette, toast, hash browns and coffee. Total was 16$. It was well worth it. Great experience read more

How good is Egg Republic? Let's put it this way, we sat next to a couple that enjoys this restaurant so much that they have been systematically going through the menu 3 dishes and drinks at a time for months. On a busy parents' weekend, my party of 4 was looking for brunch around noon on Sunday. Egg Republic doesn't take reservations, but the line moved quickly. We sped it up by eating at the bar. Very attentive and friendly wait staff. After ordering a flight of mimosas and an apple cider mimosa, we ordered our food. The menu is expansive, with lots of great breakfast and brunch items. Which is where my conversation with the couple next to me came in. I ordered the shakshuka, and the adventurous gentleman next to me confirmed I made a good choice. The rest of my party ordered the chilaquiles, classic French toast with berries and pumpkin pancakes with sausage and eggs. We ate well. The food was great, and only one of us had leftovers to take home. We left fat and happy. We are not from the area, so this can't be our new breakfast place, but it would be if we lived closer. I don't believe in perfection, but 4 stars is not enough. Egg Republoc is a fantastic dining location. Great people, great food, and a great atmosphere. All that, and awesome house made hot sauce. I very enthusiastically recommend Egg Republic and I can't wait to come back. read more

We came in early Saturday morning, got seated right away before the rush and the service was fantastic. Our server was attentive and the food came out extremely fast. However, its overpriced for very average food. My husband and I were underwhelmed. We walked out paying $50 for 2 meals and 2 cups of coffee. Came here for breakfast a few weeks after the grand opening. The inside is really nicely decorated and bright. The food was very gourmet tasting and came out quickly. The service was also friendly, though more than once the servers forgot to bring requested side items out and therefore we had to ask several times for the same things. Not a huge deal but it was noticeable. We overall enjoyed the meal and would return. read more

The perfect way to begin would be with strawberry mimosa. It was all delicious. The country-fried bacon is a game-changer, I've never had anything like it so good. The chicken and waffles were both delicious. The waffles were fluffy and moist, and the chicken was nice and crispy. I loved the stuffed avocado because it was so creamy and fresh. The southern country skillet was delicious from beginning to end. A beautiful setting, excellent customer service, and wonderful ambiance made us feel welcome. What a lovely brunch spot! My husband and I enjoyed breakfast in the patio one Saturday. We skipped the alcoholic beverages and just stuck with coffee and juice. Our server (Juan) was a lot of fun and my coffee was always full or near full. read more

Wow! The menu was impressively distinctive. Our meal choices were delicious and exceeded our expectations. The service we received was patient and friendly. Patio seating is quiet and cozy. Just stopped by this place on a whim. Super cool spot that has a posh Chicago Atmosphere. My food and drinks came out super fast and my waiter Jackson was super funny and interesting to talk too. Definitely recommend this place if you like a damn good drink with some of the best breakfast in central Illinois. read more

I considered a demerit this time around for the current prices, but frankly it's the same way everywhere, esp for bfast. The biggest downside is probly the ambiance, which is more on the noisy side based on it being a pretty large place these days and still pretty popular. I can't comment on lunch or dinner because we've never tried it, but the place prized brunch spot mostly by folks middle-aged and up (with more families/kids on the weekends) for its all-around consistency.

It's pretty reasonable, and would have only been about $60 for 6 tacos and an order of samosas, but I had 2 beers. I digress ... Anyways, I even thought it was a restaurant the kids might like, and they like nothing!

OK, so I do not typically write Yelp Reviews but I felt compelled to based on a lot of the mixed reviews I was seeing below. So with that being said, I am a native Chicagoan who was driving down 55 about two weeks ago to go visit family. My family and I were hungry and decided to find something to eat during our pit stop. We found this restaurant simply by searching new breakfast in bloomington. So we headed there and much to our surprise we were really happy with what we found. Yes, the line was long and we waited about an hour to sit down but that's normal across all restaurants in Chicago. When we sat down, our server Maria greeted and guided us through the menu and cocktail beverages...Yes, you read that right, cocktails. I was NOT expecting this and to my delight i ordered "The Pink Lady" which i could honestly say tasted amazing and even had floral decorations on it. My husband and older son ordered a mimosa set of Peach, Strawberry, and Lavender. They really liked them and I gotta honestly say, never seen a Lavender Mimosa, and I also gotta say, it tasted pretty good as well. OK, so the drinks so far were a win. What about the food? Well before we could order, the owner Jon, decided to swing by with a "Bubble Machine" for cocktails. He greeted us, asked if we wanted to see what "Brunch & Bubbles" was all about and then after agreeing he began to throw edible bubbles with various flavors on the table. In the bubbles was flavored smoke! I gotta say, I stopped in for breakfast and also got a show! Next we ordered some breakfast items, I personally ordered the Paco's and they were Phenomenal! Chorizo, hot honey, and pancakes in a simple bite?!? Sign me up. My husband ordered the Shrimp and Grits which he loved and my daughter tried the Shakshuka... Which again... Are we in central Illinois or Chicago? My honest opinion here is the food quality, the service, the ambiance, and the Bubbles not only exceeded my expectations, they shattered them. Jon was amazing, he was walking around to all the tables greeting them and talking to them. At the same time, he would run to the kitchen to help with food orders when needed. So here's where I take issue with some of the reviews that I believe don't give Egg Republic its due justice: 1) You cannot compare this place to Cracker Barrel, that's like saying don't go to a 5 star restaurant, go to McDonalds, you will be happier. What kind of comparison is that? Cracker Barrel is to be compared with IHOP and Dennys. If you like those places, that's great but it's in NO WAY comparable to Egg Republic. Plus, last time I looked, those places were not serving Alcohol, shakshuka, chicken battered bacon, or french omelets. I mean come on people. 2) I have no understanding of what was said about the discrimination piece. My family is from the middle east and we were given equal attention as everyone else. Also, I saw the staff was also diverse... So I would say everyone should make their own unique judgment here. 3) Management was perfect, everything was running smoothly and effectively. Yes they were busy but we showed up on a Sunday. Ever tried to get into Lula's cafe on a Sunday in Chicago? 3 HOUR WAIT. That's considered normal and NO ONE Complains. My final thoughts here. Come in and try the place. Coming from a person who has eaten at more breakfast places than I care to document, this place is perfect and I hope Jon considers opening one up in Chicago as well. We came in with a large group and no reservation. They seated us right away. The food, service, and place was all amazing. Juan was our server and he was fantastic. Our food came out quick and he made sure we had everything we needed. The food runners were great and made sure we were good before they left the table. We are visiting from out of town but will definitely be back. read more

Just what Bloomington needed., a breath of fresh air with this gem. My girlfriends and I have a place to go now and enjoy fresh juiced mimosas , & fresh food,unlike the rest of blono... the service was great and the decor is amazing- selfies all day :)) read more
