Was really excited to try this place out considering how much of a wait there always is. We finally were able to get a table with no wait on a Friday morning, however, the food was severely disappointing. I ordered the short rib benedict. I would not call what they served short rib. It was just sliced pieces of overcooked steak that tasted like it had been cooked a couple days prior. The food came out suspiciously fast as well, the hollandaise had a look to it where you know it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a while. The croissant with bacon jam just tasted like overly sweet bbq sauce that overpowered everything, and they forgot to put the feta on it (not that we would notice as per the previous statement). The french toast was just okay. If I came here again, I would get a simple egg breakfast or plain pancakes. I wouldn't fall into the gimmick of ordering something "fancy" here, as all that is underwhelming food with a flower stabbed in the middle of it. I read the reviews and just had to try this place out. I live close by and drive by several times a week and never knew it was there. Based on the reviews I ordered the lobster omelet, and was blown away. It was so decadent and amazing. It was so good, I felt guilty putting ketchup on my hash browns which were on the same plate. So I was so looking forward to this experience. I met my girlfriend for breakfast you know to catch up on all the things. The location was great, the atmosphere was too cute. Not sure who picked out all of the decorations but details matter ans they did a great job. Service good/okay. They were attentive so that's the good part- but when you ask your server about what's their favorite or what the restaurant is really good at and they respond everything - you know i'm skeptical. I was right. I ordered a vanilla latte (small cup) but good. Lobster Omelet- I asked for no onions (shallots) but the butter sauce had onions in it. Also the lobster was a little dry. Let me tell I me some lobster so I was disappointed. I didn't like ven eat the little pieces of meat that fell out the omelette. I ordered the grits bc the server said it's had cheese and bacon so i thought i would risk it (no clover even after salt n pepper). Should not have - had to exchange it for hash browns. My friend ordered chicken n waffles - she didn't finish half nor did she take it home - I remembered her saying it was dry and not very flavorful. We also ordered the beignets it was $11 for a small order of small beignets. They were not fluffy and airy they were heavy and moist dense like. I will save the best for last. Parking is not great and it is packed on the weekends so make sure you get there early and be willing to wait. But it is worth the wait. I guess it being packed is a good thing. That says a lot. One of the best breakfast places in DFW. Lots of choices to choose from, but it doesn't affect the quality of the food like a lot of places when they have too much on the menu. Quality of food and presentation is absolutely divine. When I'm eating a high carb or heavy meal I like something light with it to bring balance. They have this amazing simple bed of arugula with pickled red onions and Its just so delicious with everything on the menu. I always get it as my side. I had the lobster omelette The first time I came, which was very good. You don't see appetizers often on a breakfast menu but here they have them and they are fun. I love the different Birria and short rib options as they are some of my favorite. I do wish the portions were a little bigger, but the pricing isn't bad for the delicious food you're getting. We went on a Tuesday and were surprised at how busy the restaurant was. We were seated immediately at one of the few tables that were available. To our very pleasant surprise, our server greeted us almost as soon as we sat down. He introduced himself as Jaime & took our drink order. We ordered beignets with our drinks. The drinks came out immediately, and the beignets just a minute or two after. Jaime answered our questions and made suggestions based on the questions asked. The beignets were AMAZING, and a sign of what was to come. Our food was delivered quickly. The presentation was really great. I ordered the lobster omelet, and Jen the crab cakes benedict. We have been to Egg Posh 5 times in the past few months. Consistency is the word I think of. The food is always great, beautifully presented, a lovely restaurant, and the owner and his staff are so friendly that you feel important and seen. Last week, we had a new server and it was her 2nd day on the job. Ana? I believe was her name. The person with me had an emergency and needed to leave and our server was so gracious, brought me to go boxes and the check quickly and was very kind. The food here was excellent, the lemon berry pancakes were delicious with a little extra lemon curd. The only complaint would be that their cocktails are more expensive than others in the area for brunch ($10 mimosa versus down the street are $5). That being said, the mango mimosa was delicious and definitely ask for Heidi, she was an excellent server. One thing to note is that you really need to be already here when you check in for the waitlist. They have a 15 minute limit on how long you can check in, in person Before they remove your name off the waitlist. This isn't well publicized so there were quite a few people perturbed about this process when their name got dropped from the waitlist, including myself. Tried this place out for the first time and there's a lot to unpack. The restaurant is decorated nice, plain and simple nothing wild, but cozy. One thing though, it seems like they tried to pack as much into this space as possible because it's super LOUD. Parents were letting their kids bang silverware like they were Phil Collins performing his solo for In the Air Tonight. It wasn't until a waiter said it's a little loud that the parents stopped their very important talk about Pilates to correct their child. The hostess is rude and impatient. The waitress Johnathan and Himee are wonderful waitresses made the experience worth sticking to giving the place a try. The wait was 1 hour. The hostess stated we can wait in our cars but she removed me from the waitlist when I was walking up as she continued to give people the ok to wait in their cars. Food was ok. My only beef with this place so far is that it is far from my home. I've been twice now and both times I tried something different. On my first visit, I had the chicken fried steak and egg breakfast. The CFS is handbreaded and made with cube steak--none of that frozen breaded patty business. The eggs were cooked as I like them, and the hashbrowns were pretty good too. You do get to choose two sides with your meal so I had hashbrowns and toast, nothing fancy. On my second visit, I had the short rib breakfast bowl and y'all...that may be my regular order at this joint. This dish was full of flavor, and I didn't think I'd ever eat zucchini for breakfast that wasn't a part of zucchini bread but this dish changed my mind. The short rib bowl is 2 eggs cooked your way atop a bed of hashbrowns. Then they're topped with braised short rib meat, grilled zucchini, roasted red peppers, demi-glace and queso fresco. 10/10 highly recommend! Service was good and our waitress Nicole was attentive without being intrusive. We'll definitely return because I NEED that short rib bowl again. read more

I'm a huge breakfast guy, especially because it's the most important meal of the day! I've been enjoying the many options for breakfast/brunch in the Frisco/Plano area, but Egg Posh stands out above the rest. Unassuming from the outside, but it has a beautifully designed interior that hits you the moment that you walk in. The menu is very extensive, and everything sounded good. But alas, I'm not 20 years old anymore so I can't eat everything. I went with the chorizo omelette with bacon, cheese, and onion grits. Wow, their grits were cooked so well, fluffy and whipped with lots of flavor. The chorizo omelette was perfect, even better with the compliment of hot sauces at the table. The Mrs. went with the corned beef and hash and she thoroughly enjoyed that with her side of pancakes. All in all, service was amazing despite it being a busy morning, prices were what I'd expect given the competitors in the area, but the best touch was meeting Bennie, the chef and owner. He came out of the kitchen and took the time to greet and chat with each table, which definitely adds a more personal connection to him and his business. Please be sure to support his family member's business nearby as well! Loved the layout of the restaurant, blue, vibrant, and great lighting for a nice breakfast out with a friend or family. Staff were super sweet, managers walked around and checked on multiple tables and tables were bussed off fast like it was nothing (I mean holy cow fast and efficient). The cannoli donuts bomb, if you love sweet crispy with a soft inside, 100% get these. I don't normally like grits, but wanted to give these a try (can confirm I still don't like them), but for those that do a little salt and pepper and these are amazing.
