This place is no frills BUT... Good food, good coffee, good service, and a huge menu. We all had savory breakfast so can't speak for the pancakes and whatnot, but everyone loved their egg dishes. Not photoed but the hollandaise was notable in how light it was.

Ordered breakfast to go and it was delish. My boyfriend had the Traditional Breakfast and I had the Barrington Benedict. They separated everything so nothing was soggy and it was all fresh and so good. Would definitely come back again.

Loved their iced coffee!

Great cozy spot with "eggcellent" service and good food! I stopped in with some family that was visiting from out of town and we were pleased with our first visit! Will return soon!

The atmosphere at Egg harbor is lively and fun. Service is eggselent... but really our server was top notch with a great attitude and prompt response. The menu is robust. Plenty to choose from here ! I went with the Swedish pancakes and shared with a traditional breakfast player . Again service was rapid. For a Saturday morning the team At egg harbor delivered my food within 10 minutes of order! Coffee is delicious here. The lingonberry spread was just delightful. This is plenty of food. No problem getting filled up . Prices are decent considering the venue . You won't be let down !

Family friendly breakfast spot. It's spacious, a very large menu, and quick service. Food was average, it offers your typical breakfast/lunch items. The food didn't taste bad, it is just too much in my opinion. My family lives in the neighborhood and we liked the Elmhurst location, have been there for lunch several times. So I'd come back because it is an easy option where everyone can find something on the menu.

Great experience. Had the cinnamon swirl pancakes. Enough to feed a small family. Anyway, great taste, coffee was also good. Staff very attentive, especially Julian (I that was his name). Great service. Clean, comfortable place with excellent menu choices

Lots of food and drink options for all tastes. Plenty of paid parking options nearby. My favorite was their specialty winter drinks. Service was very very friendly, but it did take a while to get their attention. Very cute and cozy place to have breakfast or lunch.

Went here for post work brunch with coworkers and we loved everything we ordered! Service was fast and friendly but we did notice that we weren't offered water and had to ask for it midway through our meal. All in all would recommend food especially the Lobster Scrambler! Great brunch place and the mugs were cute.

Family friendly neighborhood place with a great menu selection of both breakfast and lunch items- something for everyone. Unsure about parking or reservations, but for a party of 2 at 10am on a Saturday we were able to walk in and get sat immediately. Staff was super friendly!

Chili and fruit- fabulous!

I love this new breakfast spot in Oak Park! Perhaps they are not "new" anymore, but it was new for me and I loved how enthusiastic the staff is as well as how fresh the food it. I loved the chili- it was warm and hearty, and had some much nice additions like the fresh tomatoes and herbs on top. And the fresh fruit bowl was a marvelous surprise as often "fresh fruit" at a diner is really just melons topped with one mushy grape. Nope. This bowl was a very generous size and had blackberries, strawberries, melon- and it was just cut up, not soggy at all! The restaurant was busy, but the tables are nicely spaced out so it doesn't feel overwhelming or too noisy. I didn't catch our two servers names, darn. They were amazing. So friendly and as I said above, enthusiastic, even at the end of their shift as the restaurant was closing when we were leaving. This seems like a jolly place to work and is a super fun place for a breakfast or brunch. I will definitely return.

Nice vibe, typical menu, nice waitstaff, overpriced a bit for the food prep. Close parking, right off Harlem Ave CTA and Metra stop.

Just us, a quiet room, and a whole lot of good energy. Every server working that morning was incredibly friendly and attentive. Maybe it was because we were the only ones there. Maybe it was the Christmas spirit. Maybe a perfect mix of both. Whatever it was, it turned a simple brunch into a genuinely lovely experience. And the food? As always, excellent and abundant, comforting, generous, and exactly what you want when you're settling into a holiday mood. Sometimes it's not just about what's on the plate, but how a place makes you feel. That morning, Eggsperience felt warm, welcoming, and just right.

The service took a long time, also to begin with just to get a decaf coffee and a tequila sunrise that looked terrible, NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURE that gets displayed on the table. Then I ordered my breakfast with my eggs poached. The food took forever to arrive, and my eggs were fried. I made the waitress aware of it and she said that she would get them replaced. By time she got around to remembering my eggs I was at a point that I had eaten the rest of my breakfast and some of the whites of the fried eggs since I was hungry. She said that we're almost ready. Really?! Then she added that she would get them ready to go instead and not charge me. Who cares at that point? A few minutes later, some other waitress brings the eggs to the table on a plate with the doily to eat at the table. I am one of those people that are very patient, but I've had it at that point and asked for the check. I just threw the coach X into the to go boxes that a different waitress had gotten for me. I am even mad at myself for tipping decently. I'm never going back to this location and I don't know why I did. The one on Irving Park by six corners is 10 times better and closer to home. I just wanted to go for a little drive with my son on that day. Lo and behold, a friend of mine actually told me that a person that lived around at Elmwood Park one distinctly told about the bad service there. Horrible!

Right away we were brought water in a basket of warm crusty bread with butter. Then we met our server, Axel. He was a young man with lots of knowledge of the menu. He was personable and engaging. We started out with drinks. I asked our server Axel if the bartender could make a bees knees, and he said if they had the ingredients they would make one. It turned out Axel was the one who made my cocktail and it was spot on. We shared the chicken liver pate hors d'oeuvre. The pate was served with three small crostini toasts, cornichons, cubes of clear jelly which we couldn't figure out what it was, and Dijon mustard. The pate was very good but it was disappointing to only receive three small crostinis on the plate because the ratio of pate to crostini was way off. We had to ask for another basket of bread so we could finish the pate. For dinner my husband had beef wellington, my son had lamb chops and I had the special for Saturday, soft shell crabs. Each of us enjoyed our dinners. My son asked for creamed spinach instead of the ratatouille that came with the lamb chops, and Axel was happy to make the substitution. I'm so glad I went with softshell crabs because I hardly ever see them offered on a menu. They were delicious! We ended sharing a mango soufflé - after I made a wish, of course! I forgot how much I love dining at Hemmingway's. I definitely recommend this bistro for lunch or dinner or even their jazzy brunch on Sundays. It was the perfect place to celebrate my birthday.

The…read morebrunch is $52 per person, which includes one moderately sized brunch entrée, one glass of champagne, and unlimited access to the buffet. The buffet was okay--not bad, but not especially memorable. It included crab claws, shrimp, oysters, smoked salmon, bagels, a wilted salad, pasta salad, and a handful of dessert options. The savory items were fine but didn't feel elevated for the price point. Quiche was served cold which is not my preferred temperature. That said, the desserts were the highlight. The crème brûlée and lemon tart were excellent and definitely the standout items of the buffet. One downside was the service, our waiter was MIA for a while, which made things feel a bit disjointed, especially when trying to get the check. Overall, it's an okay brunch with a nice atmosphere and solid dessert offerings, but for the price, the buffet selection felt a bit underwhelming. Worth trying once, especially if you're there for a leisurely brunch and good sweets, but not a must-repeat for the food alone.

We had children with us and asked for their menu items to come as fast as they could. However, the server was extremely short with us and didn't even bring drinks quickly. While the restaurant was not very busy, it too a very long time to get our food - especially one in our group who didn't get food until almost everyone else was done. The food itself was ok, but I would say that nothing was exceptional - somewhat bland entrees and lacking originality. Could be what we ordered...as I know many people find the food here to be quite good. The prices are reasonable for the area but I was disappointed with the general unfriendly service and time to receive food. I've been here previously and we had a somewhat lackluster meal that time also. The previous time, they were pleasant enough but food was only ok - entrees were not very hot when we received them. All in all, there are friendlier spots in the area.
