Just found a third hair in my Door county melt. Up until the first hair everything was really good. The first hair was gross. Second and third hair ensures that we won't be going back. It might be a good breakfast place but we had sandwiches that came with harbor potatoes...and they were awful Tasted like previously frozen..and the aged beef cheeseburger had no flavor..very disappointing read more

I would rate 0 stars if I could. Bought breakfast at the Glenview Egg Harbor. The pancakes we ordered had a SCREW in them!! My husband nearly lost a tooth biting into this and my toddlers were eating the same pancakes and could have seriously gotten hurt. We called them for a full refund, were on the phone for 30 mins due to technical glitches on their end, and just checked our credit card statement - no refund as promised!! That's the least they could have gotten right. Do not recommend. Disgusting!!!! read more

Amazing service! Got seated quickly, and ordered. I ordered a Bacado omelette and French Toast. After leaving, I threw up three times on the way home, and I suspect that the avocado was rotten. That is a one star deduction. Very packed on Saturday morning, but I suggest coming! read more

I liked Egg Harbor Cafe. I was seated immediately, the server was prompt and kind, the restaurant was clean (even the bathrooms), my meal came quickly and the food was pretty good. read more

Came here on a Saturday morning, and expected, it was crowded. Pro-tip: when talking to other patrons, apparently you can be put on the waiting list ahead of time, and skip the wait. What a time to be alive! Anyways, this place was crowded but thankfully there was a decent sized bench where you can wait. It took us about 30-minutes to be seated, which another pro-tip, don't screen your calls for unknown numbers during this time, as apparently they call you to let you know your table is ready, even though you're sitting less than 15-feet away from the front :-) This specific Egg Harbor is pretty huge. They have a large seating area consisting of booths and chairs and tables. For starters, I got myself a cup of Cream of Chicken. It came with rice and the portion, for a cup, was expected. It was pretty good, sprinkle some of them oyster crackers for a nice crunch. For the main breakfast meal, I went with the Joe's Healthy Scrambler. It consisted of chicken sausage, mushroom, spinach, roasted onion, and egg whites. I believe this dish came with cheese, but I opted out of it, but kept the wheat English muffin and fruit. It was one of the healthiest items on the menu, and I gotta keep my New Years resolution ;-) Staff an service was good, food was good, and overall experience was egg-cellent. You see what I did there? You knew that was coming. I'm sure you haven't heard that one before. Dad Jokes.... out. read more

Love love love this place. Came on a Sunday morning and only had to wait 20 mins but I recommend checking/joining the waitlist online beforehand. Our food came out fast even though it was busy and it was perfect. Service was great, food was amazing, no complaints at all. The inside seating is cozy and even though there's a lot of tables it doesn't feel crowded. My new go-to brunch spot. read more

Came here after a visit at the funeral. We got seated right away and the waitress got us coffee and it took a little bit for her to come back for our food order but we didn't mind. They have a sign indicating that they are short staffed. Food came out quickly and they also worked with us with substitutions to accommodate for dietary preferences. San Antonio skillet - tons of flavor from the chorizo and had a nice kick. They also let us sub the English muffin for pancakes which was awesome. Lemon poppyseed pancakes weren't too sweet but the strawberries were super sweet and the pancakes were moist Eggs Arlington - English muffin and bacon was crispy. Eggs were well done and potatoes were crispy read more

Hot chocolate drink and cinnamon roll french toast were fine. Nothing out of this world or creative. For my skillet, the chef skimped on mushrooms and ham. I wouldn't discourage anyone from coming but it doesn't stand out from the typical American breakfast diners. They do the dishes just okay enough to survive and be a family tradition. Our waitress didn't check on our table enough. read more

Very popular very busy breakfast place. Highly recommended fresh breakfast cuisine. Great quick service. Family friendly.

Always excellent food and new options to choose from. Love Egg Harbor! Great service and atmosphere!

The best breakfast joint in all of Chicagoland. I've been coming here for nearly two decades, and never once have I been dissatisfied or disappointed. So many cherished memories, relived time and time again through their delicious food and cozy ambiance. If you haven't been here, you don't know what you're missing! read more

Great food and great service. Location is great for Metra riders. Location is clean. The are tech savvy since I can pay on my phone right at the table! Enjoyed our brunch at egg harbor. Food and drink: 4/5. The lemon pancakes with strawberry were definitely the star of the meal. I also had the skillet which was okay, a little salty with the bacon plus the sausage. My husband had the strawberry orange juice which he said tasted fresh m. I had an iced coffee, which was essentially hot brewed coffee poured into a mug of ice so not ideal, kind of bitter tasting. Service: 5/5 - fast, our waiter was helpful and paying was super easy with their QR codes for mobile payment available I recommend checking in on their website for wait times and to get in line! Made it super fast to get seated. Parking was also easy as they had a nice sized lot. read more

This place gets BUSY on weekends. The menu has a lot of good variety from usual breakfast choices to fancy toasts to waffles and so many skillets. The portions are just right not too big, enough to fill you up and have space left over for coffee. I ordered a special: mushroom ricotta toast with two eggs and fruit. The toast was very good, just the mushrooms were a little colder than I preferred making the whole toast cold but maybe it was supposed to be like that. Eggs made just right and fruit was fresh and tasty. Would love to come back to dine outdoors, they have nice outdoor area read more

Hmm, I asked for well-done potatoes and was politely answered, "no problem!" Well what I got was very clearly nuked-to-hell mass-prepared potatoes. You know how if you nuke something too long, it turns leathery? Well it was a combination of pieces like that mixed with some relatively raw potatoes. Yummy. I hadn't been here in a while; I hope this is just a temporary setback. Additionally, we ordered poorly: the biscuits and "gravy" were utterly nasty. They couldn't even start with ground sausage in the gravy and instead just chopped up some old already-cooked sausage. Sensing a theme here? Additionally, the biscuits were utterly gross. They were clearly thrown into the deep fryer; no thank you! My wife thought they tasted like they came out of a can. Then there was the shrimp and grits. It was almost the consistency of corn bread, really nasty. Although the flavor wasn't bad, it was all just quite unappetizing. read more

It's New Years Day and most places are closed but not Egg Harbor Cafe! A 15 minute drive from Devonshire area in Skokie, they offer curbside pickup or in- store pickup. The one thing I absolutely loved about this restaurant is their ordering ability. I've never in my life had a more simple way of ordering food online- usually there's a hiccup somewhere along the way with all the other apps I've used but not this one. Not only was I able to order but it tracked my order and also made curbside pickup an absolute breeze! I wish more businesses had Egg Harbor's ordering capabilities- go Egg Harbor go! As you can imagine, Egg Harbor Cafe was slammed on New Year Day. But despite how busy they were, my food was ready to go when I got there and the staff was right on time to bring it out. I ordered the shaksuka eggs, salmon Benedict and Mediterranean breakfast. The Shakshuka was delicious- took me back to my trip to Morocco. All the spices along with the egg, tomato and cheese brought back to many memories that I almost felt like I was having breakfast in Morocco. Needless to say, I would order this again. The Salmon Benedict was okay- there's nothing wrong with it but when you go from eating something rich with spices like shakshuka where you have so much richness in flavor to hollandaise sauce on salmon Benedict, it's a bit plain Jane. There was in my opinion flavor missing from the egg Benedict. But again- this is just my opinion because I like food with rich flavor but some people may love the egg Benedict just as good as it is so to each their own! The Mediterranean breakfast was delicious as well- we're from the balkans so this just hit so close to home and touched all of our senses. We loved it! Also want to say, for a breakfast joint- they have fair prices. A lot of breakfast/brunch places are insanely expensive that some people think twice about breakfast/brunching but I think Egg Harbor Cafe is fair in their prices for the portions that you get. I really appreciate that on their behalf. We look forward to dining at Egg Harbor Cafe in the future! I highly recommend it! read more

This cozy farmhouse chic breakfast spot is quite the hit with families in the neighborhood. Lots of parents brought their little ones and the whole space was packed the entire time we were here. We got seated after a 5 minute wait. They have an extensive menu and I would say that their lobster omelet is a must try. I haven't seen many other places offer this. It's incredibly creamy and a unique twist on a traditional omelet. read more

The food is delicious but the staff is truly incredible! The place gets pretty packed and the staff always remains courteous and polite.

The place was poppin on a Monday afternoon. I was able to check in on the waitlist in Google and only waited a few mins for our table. Ordered the Brussel skillet which had bacon and cauliflower. It was quite heavy but pretty tasty. Pairing my skillet with the cinnamon French toast roll was the perfect combination. I thought the french toast texture was quite too soft. I like a little more crunch in my French toast crust. But overall the taste was pretty good. I didn't really care for the English muffin. Kinda wish the meals came with pancakes or option for fruit! read more

Finally I was able to find a breakfast/brunch place that didn't give me a quizzical look or a "we can't make those here" when I ask for basted eggs. I give this place a 5 star review for multiple reasons. Firstly, this place holds a lot of good memories. I used to come here a lot when I was younger and would leave satisfied every time. I think this is a prime spot to have a brunch. Egg Harbor upgraded its interior tremendously since the last time I've been inside. Now the inside is nice and open. It makes me feel comfortable to be inside the restaurant. Secondly, the food was good and was not expensive. You will leave with a full stomach guaranteed. I love pancakes and the cinnamon swirl pancakes were great. Perfect amount of sweetness with the bacon to counteract it. My mother enjoyed her salad and thought it was fresh and delicious. I don't get coffee at restaurants often but the coffee tasted great. The service was spot on and did not have to wait long for our food. Overall, I recommend this place to anyone who enjoys a delicious brunch. I will definitely be back here again. read more

Great place to eat at. Friendly service and good food. We love the chicken salad. Betty is amazing!

Been here a few times for breakfast, it's always been a solid meal. It's a cute little place, they do have outdoor seating though I've never sat out there. Service has always been decent, and the food comes out quickly. Their lobster scrambler (one of my favorites) is a unique flavor and delicious. They have a flavored coffee of the day and it's always good (and they'll get you a cup of it to go, too!). Prices are super reasonable, too. I always enjoy eating here. read more

My warm thanks to all of the folks at Egg Harbor Café in Glenview. I've been taking my wife to rehab in Glenview for the past month and half and was delighted to have a place where I could settle in and read quietly for a couple of hours three mornings a week. As a bonus, the food is excellent, and the wait staff are all (and I mean all) friendly, helpful, and caring. I'll miss my mornings at Egg Harbor. read more

Here's what you need to know: greatest pancakes in America. Period. No contest. No debate. Melt in your mouth softness, great complex flavor, and the whole grain texture is unparalleled. The skillets are great too - especially the San Antonio chorizo skillet . Service is always outstanding no matter who your server. They really invest in customer service. I love egg harbor. Yes the wait can be daunting on weekends after 10AM but it's so worth it. Best pancakes, amazing skillets, and enjoyable Benedict's. Omelettes and bacon are not at the level of walker bros pancake house close by but it doesn't matter (given the quality of their specialty foods. The service is warm, gracious, generous... just incredible. I love the salt and pepper mills at the table with great quality pepper. Vanessa was our server this morning and simply amazing. Thanks. Start by saying everybody needs to us the yelp or google wait list for this place it works phenomenally! We got on the list before we left the house when we got there literally waited five minutes and was seated while walk-ins were waiting over an hour...super worth it!! With that being said the food was amazing! I was craving a good skillet...I ordered the San Antonio skillet, recommended by the server, and I'm glad I did did not disappoint...Came out super hot and fresh the egg was so on point cooked perfectly the Chorizo had amazing flavor...English muffin was fresh and the jelly was amazing some the best! also ordered a side of biscuits and gravy with sausage it was okay no the special...My wife ordered the Farmers market Benedict she loved it and highly recommends it for vegetarians. So we decided to go here because it was 10 minutes from ABT. Disclosure this place had perfect service but the food was terrible. The waitress was friendly and attentive. I ordered the pancake combo which was 3 pancakes bacon and eggs. I asked for my eggs to be scrambled soft and they came out hard and dry. I sent them back they came back better. My biggest issue with my food were the pancakes. I feel like making pancakes is an art. They should be medium brown with the perfect batter. These pancakes were extra thick and gooey like they weren't fully cooked. They fell apart they literally couldn't be picked up with a fork and they were not easy on the eyes. The presentation was terrible. The bacon was the best thing I had. My bf got an omelette it was flavorless it came with potatoes that were also flavorless, hard and dry. In general it was not a good experience for food. I don't know how people like this place for anything other than the service. I do not recommend and I will not return. read more

Most Important Meal... Who doesn't love a good breakfast; after all, it is the most important meal of the day, and Egg Harbor has perfected the process and their meals There are now 20 Egg Harbor locations across 3 states and they are only open from 6AM to 2PM. They do have more than just breakfast food items, but that timeframe makes me hungry for breakfast food:. Pancakes, waffles, eggs, etc. One of my favorite options is the chicken sandwich which has been on the menu and I've been ordering for over 15 years.... It's a really good option if you don't want breakfast. There's not much I haven't tried on the menu and I can say everything is really good. Egg Harbor is by far one of my favorite breakfast places regardless which location. I grew up going to the location in Geneva, have been going to the Arlington Heights location, and now for the first time tried this location. Definitely worth checking out read more

This place is a glenview Gem. I love their traditional breakfast. On days that it is busy, my bacon does not come out as extra crispy and is still greasy. Their coffee is the best and love their cute cups. read more

This was my second time here. Sad to say I was very disappointed this time. I don't remember being so thrilled the first time but thought I would give it another try. The two stars are for our service. The waiter was very nice and kept checking to see if we needed anything. However the food was disappointing. First off the coffee. They leave a thermos at your table so you can refill it yourself which is great however, the thermos was sticky and messy. With covid around cleanliness should be important. We then received our food it was ok. We ordered the Aztec omelette and cinnamon roll French toast. The omelette was ok a little too spicy for my liking and the French toast had raw pieces of wet eggy toast. Ok whatever still ok. What was the disappointing part we're the flies! We were fanning flies away during most of our meal and we were eating indoor! Imagine trying to enjoy your breakfast while flies are landing on your food! It was disgusting, one fly landed on the French toast and went under touching it on both sides As we were eating the table next to us was getting prepped for the next group. They wiped the table set the cups and water jug then sprayed the table. Instead of spraying first spraying the table down and then putting the cups and jug after so I could imagine the spray getting on the cups and water yeah I'm definitely not going back. read more

Beware of the wait list game on weekend. Many guests put their names on the wait list from offsite and then wait for a text b4 coming over to eat. Some may drive around to other restaurants looking for a quicker table. If you go there and make a reservation, be prepared to watch others show up and get seated ahead of you. Put another way, you should think twice b4 showing up at the restaurant without already being on the wait list. read more
