We wanted a quick bite for lunch and had never tried this deli so we ordered a Choose 2 for take out and had a picnic at a nearby park. We didn't have to wait long for our order and the flavors were good and we felt it was a good value for the money. There are many tables to enjoy your meal inside and food is brought out to you.

Located in a busy shopping center with plenty of parking. Stopped in for lunch. You place your order and it is prepared while you wait. This location has indoor and outdoor seating. McAlister's is know for hand crafted sandwiches, fresh salads, spuds and soups. Huge menu! We did the Pick 2 which let's you choose a half sandwich ,half salad, half spud,or a cup of soup. We did the Spicy Turkey melt which was very flavorful with roasted turkey, bacon, pepper jack, avocado, tomato and spring greens. I wish everything would have been spread evenly on the toasted baguette. The chipotle ranch dressing was very good My wife had the Veggie Spud since she is gluten free which was a full spud even tho it was supposed to be a half spud..bonus! Covered with spinach, broccoli, red onion, roasted peppers and a flavorful cheese dip. Everything was fresh, tasty and value priced. We would definitely go back!

10/04/23 I was in Glenview today and found McAlister's Deli. McAlister's located off of Willow road in the same shopping center as Target & Aldi set back in the shopping center next door to Chipotle. In my opinion this is a definite step up from Chipotle. They have a huge menu w/many options & variations of sandwiches, salads, soups, deserts. You can get any combination of sandwiches, soups, salads....There are specialty sandwiches w/a P next to them that denotes a premium w/a small upgrade of $1.25. I got half Turkey on Ciabatta bread & 1/2 Reuben. You can also get a Choose 2 1/2 sandwich w/1/2 salad, 1/2 spud or a cup of soup or any combination. Cool idea. The menu options can be a bit overwhelming as they are many options available. Nice large cleanly decorated dining area unfortunately the sandwiches weren't anything spectacular

We came here for an elementary public school fund raising weekday dinner.  They are sort of hidden in the corner of the Target/Kohl's strip mall and are close to Willow Road if you're looking for them.  This is a new and clean location and open for less than 2 years. Amongst the 5 of us, we had the following all for $42.82.  The kids' meals are amazingly cheap here! - Kid's pizza with fruit cup, $3.58 - Kid's mac n cheese w fruit cup, $3.58 - Choose 2 - angus spud w cup of chicken & gnocchi, $10.74 - Angus club sandwich with fruit cup, $10.58 - Horseradish roast beef with potato salad, $9.29 It was all healthy, economical, and satisfying for what it was.  It was a cold evening and was a bit chilly when we started off but it gradually warmed up inside.  I think the employees felt the chill like we did.

Been here mostly with work outings. Spacious dining area. The staff and service is friendly. The food is surprisingly good. If you are like me, the portions can seem a bit much, I usually get two meals out of one and end up taking 1/2 my sandwich home. I don't even bother getting a drink here anymore because they come in one size, gargantuan. Last I was in I tried the jalapeño turkey crunch and it was yummy. It is also hard to go wrong with the New Yorker, Reuben, or Rachel.

This is a good place to get food. It is not to loud depending on what time you go. The service that I get here is also good.

This place is disgusting. Avoid. Food was extremely sub-par, the service was bad, and this is the worst deli I've ever been to.

Just ordered a Rachel and there was no sauerkraut or cheese on my sandwich, so it basically it was a turkey sandwich. Won't be going back.

You can order from the menu's bowls, wraps or salad or "walk the line" and build a dish from the ingredients set up a la Chipotle. I ordered the first thing -- Superfood because it sounded healthy but I didn't know what was in it (my bad). The calorie counts, carb counts are not listed anywhere and not on the website. It was ok, probably more protein than I needed. Personally I could have done without the raisins (I looked it up - raisins have many benefits) so the salad was ok. My companion really enjoyed their Carolina grains bowl. We also ordered chips and hummus. I think because I am confused by Currito it won't be top of mind for me when I am selecting a place to eat. Do I want a healthy bowl, do I want a salad, do I want a wrap--will I be thinking of Currito? There were a few people stopping in to pick up and we were the only people dining in. It could be that others are confused by Currito as well.

My family has dined here twice now and enjoyed both meals thoroughly. A full bar is stocked, and I've enjoyed a strong lemon drop martini here, as well as a glass of Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc. Dining area has about 18 tables, so it feels very intimate and cozy. The menu is posted on a large whiteboard and can change frequently. Favorites we've tried are the ravioli (filled with spinach, mushroom, whatever is offered) and chicken picatta. We don't leave with any leftovers. Entrees can range from $25-60 at moderate portion sizes, so it is a spendy meal but worth every penny. Warm bread and butter are served before dinner and the fried calamari is a crispy appetizer that hits the spot. To touch on post dinner... save room because that butter cake is one of our favorite desserts anywhere!! It is crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, served with gelato on top/side, whipped cream, and caramel and toasted pecans on our latest visit. Because there is no dessert menu (just what the waitstaff verbally tells you), here's what I can recall from it on our last visit last month: carrot cake, tiramisu, gelato, Oreo cake, banana chocolate chip cake, butter cake. Skip the Oreo cake. It tastes just like chocolate cake (a tasty one with a lovely crumb, just not reminiscent of Oreo at all) with a scoop of chocolate gelato on the side. Can't wait to return!

They've done a remarkable job maximizing the space without losing that intimate feel. It's the kind of place that feels like a secret you're lucky to know about. The Downside: They don't take reservations, which means the wait can be frustrating. Timing your visit is a bit of a gamble, but honestly, the food makes it worth it. Final Verdict: Even if Italian food isn't your thing, this place will win you over. It's authentic, welcoming, and downright delicious. A true neighborhood treasure.

I stopped in on a Wednesday around 7:15 pm; it was comfortably busy, and parking was easy in the large parking lot. I accidentally entered through the back door that was right by where I parked, but was warmly welcomed by Jimena, who explained it was table service and she would be my server. I chose a standard table and was seated at a cozy two-top facing a beautiful, full-length bar and two TVs. The colorful Mexican décor and warm vibe made it feel like dining among neighbors and friends. I started with a refreshing Jamaica agua fresca brewed from dried hibiscus flowers ($4.50), it's slightly sweet and floral and served in a mason jar. For food, I ordered the Baja Fish Taco ($6) and the Short Rib Taco ($7.50). The fish taco featured crispy beer-battered cod with coleslaw, cilantro, cheese, lime, and chipotle aioli on a cheese-crusted tortilla, it was delicious, but I wish the fish had been a bit thicker. The 24-hour braised short rib taco topped with pickled red onions, cilantro, and avocado was rich and flavorful. The red salsa was a bit watered down with not much flavor, but the taco was flavorful and didn't need it. I was already full but couldn't resist to order the Mexican Key Lime Pie ($8). It was beautifully presented and drew attention from the table of 4 next to me. I enjoyed a couple of bites and took the rest home. It was quite tart but was balanced well by the abundance of whipped cream. Overall, it was a lovely experience. Great atmosphere, friendly service, and satisfying food. I'm happy to have such a solid Mexican spot in the neighborhood and look forward to returning with my family to explore more of the menu.
