Thank you Forza for supplying the most delicious hotdogs and brats for our Huber Lane block party. Those jalapeño cheddar and bacon onion brats are off the chart amazing! And I will say it again, those hotdogs are my favorite. Anyone reading this review do not hesitate to try any of the Forza locations (Glenview and Skokie) and their sandwich shop on Shermer and Willow in the strip mall. For the sandwiches specifically, the bread is a little bland and some of the deli meats taste rubbery. I can't vouch for their butcher operation, but as a lunch option, this is a great addition to downtown Glenview. Potbelly and Jimmy John's have their time and place, but when you get a craving for a real, high quality sandwich, you cannot go wrong with Forza. They have hot sandwiches (e.g. hot italian sausage, meatball), deli sandwiches, and paninis. I've tried a few of each and everything is really tasty. My favorites so far are the salvatore (more or less a classic Italian sub), the Doc J (steak, peppers & onions on garlic bread...mmm mmph), and the pizzaolo panini (like a pepperoni pizza on a roll). Your food will be made to order, so while you wait, browse their broad selection of high-end packaged foods and specialty items. They have a boatload of sauces, seasonings, rubs, oils, vinegars, honey, olives, pickles, chips, crackers, breadsticks, noodles, et al. Plus various bottled soft drinks and a few local beers. I'm sad not to work in Glenview anymore, but the last time I was in the neighborhood I made a point to go at lunchtime so I could stop by here. Worth it! read more

We've been wanting to stop in here after seeing some in our group having Forza steaks and reading reviews about their fabulous burgers and sausages. Last night we greatly enjoyed two of the three versions of Forza's house made Italian sausage (mild and medium), accompanied by Smoked Bacon Maple Mustard and Giardiniera. Both were excellent. We also liked the pasta and olive salads and the twice-baked potato. The bone-in ribeye will be our Friday night dinner, accompanied by Brussels Sprouts with Pancetta. Glenview is not in our typical shopping area but we were more than pleased by the warm reception, the service and the overall selection quality. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. read more

Turkey sandwich was fresh, bread was crusty on the outside and soft in the middle. Meatball sandwich was solid. Could definitely tell the meatballs are made in house, very tender. Bread was a bit chewy. Giardiniera pasta salad was excellent, definitely get it. Mushroom soup was my least favorite. Bland, definitely can skip that one. Overall very cool place to visit. I'm from the area and was pleasantly surprised when Forza said they could do a custom burger blend after contacting several other butchers. They confirmed they would be ready for me to pick up in their freezer. I was in town for a funeral since moving up to Milwaukee only for them to tell me they no longer had them. I come to find out they're not a blend at all! And when they found them, the bag said someone else's name o I paid over $60 for 6 half pound burgers and an aranchini! The meat was very dense and like a hockey puck! Forza duped me into what I thought was custom burgers! Plus, like others Forza adds a 3% processing fee when using their terminals. I had the Caprese salad. She had the olive salad. Caution: some of the olives have pits. The meats were fresh and flavorful. They said that the beef would be thinly sliced. It was not. Most pieces were thick. They said it would include high-quality beef. Most of the meat was very chewy, not tender. They also offer an array of steaks and chops, which are fully priced, presumably commensurate with their quality. Didn't try them (yet). Also have some prepared foods and meals, from pizzas to parmigiana. Friendly service with a strong sense of pride in the business. My kids have noted -- and I agree -- that it takes them a surprisingly long time to make some of the sandwiches up. I have been looking for a butcher for special occasions other than the Jewel. I have passed this place multiple times and it looked good. I finally stopped in the other day to check it out. My first impression was how clean the place was. It was spotless! There was also a line which is always a good sign. The staff was super friendly and ready to answer questions. I got some Italian sausage and burgers to try them out. The sausage is made in house and they spun the links in front of me. I also ordered a couple sandwiches which were amazing and fresh. They just need to be better in so many ways. The business looks amazing and the people are nice but that doesn't make up for what you get. I went there to order some tenderloin and get some lunch sandwiches. You walk in and there are 2 very long lines, one is to order and one is everyone waiting. I ordered 2 simple items a Club sandwich and an Italian sausage. We ended up waiting almost an hour, for nothing that crazy. A number of people came in during that time off the street and from online orders. A number of the online order customers still ended up waiting 20 minutes or more. The other big issue is they generally don't let you know if your order is ready. A number of people, myself included had to keep getting back in line to find out if our order was ready. I could deal with the waiting and understood it was busier than normal. Lesson learned, but the biggest gripe of all and somehow the simplest. I mainly went there to get meat, and I had asked for 20 ounces of tenderloin. After everything else, I get home and the package is .8 of a pound... Considering 1 pound is 16 ounces that was one hell of a wasted trip. read more

The Pollo Nostro (chicken, goat cheese apples) panini is a hit as is the roast beef sub. The salads also impress with fresh and flavorful combos - live a beet salad!
