This location gets very busy on the weekends; however the line at the ordering counter moves very quickly. I got the fresh spinach omelette with a choice of plain bagel. The omelette was delicious and a very generous portion. I am giving this location 4 stars because after ordering the wait for food is fairly long and it was unclear if they were going to find me in the next door dinning area or if I was to keep on checking if my order was ready. In the end they knew exactly where I was and brought everything out to me ready to go. They do have a walk-up pick up window for orders placed over the phone ahead of time. I think that's a great option.

Solid breakfast fare. The bagel sandwiches are always super tasty! Coming from Southern California I have pretty high expectations for a breakfast burrito and so far this has been the closest thing to home. Very family friendly. Great service.

Pretty good food this is how the waffle came to go.

Good food, not the best service. Bagel sandwich was pretty good. I would go back because the food was pretty good.

Once upon a bagel is fine, not great. Nothing special, but a better bagel than most places in illinois. Staff is quick, and it's reasonably priced. Fits the bill but doesn't do much more. Stop by if you want a decent bagel in Illinois fro a speedy meal!

Winnetka is the third richest Midwest zip code. So I expected a lot when I drove up to this location after escorting a client to their home. I observed a nice breakfast crowd and heavy traffic in & out. They must have something here worth fighting for. I was wrong... They don't carry an "everything" bagel (that's my favorite). That's odd. So, I ordered a onion bagel, a side order of sausage patty w/American cheese, an a large hibiscus juice. My bagel had little flavor to it and my sausage patty was the frozen kind found in the supermarkets. I went on and made a breakfast sandwich out of it. Two stars for giving me three patties and the cheese was nice and melted. My hibiscus juice tasted like cough syrup. It was nothing like the one I had in AZ (that's if you follow my reviews). It would have been nice if someone told me anything on the menu can be purchased anytime of day. But just like 7 other reviews mentioned, service here sucks. Once Upon a Bagel. Right now, I am wishing upon a star for a better breakfast!

I've spent years searching for the perfect deli sandwich. Every time I'd find a place I liked,…read moresomething would eventually disappoint me. Maybe the bread wasn't fresh, the lunch meat tasted processed, or the quality just wasn't consistent. Tony & Tina's Deli is the first place that has truly become my go-to. I absolutely love their subs, especially the Brayden. I always order the large, and it's packed with so much fresh meat that I can give a generous portion of the turkey to my toddler as a snack and still have a full sandwich left for myself. That's saying something! Their potato salad is also outstanding. It tastes homemade, not like something scooped out of a mass-produced container. It's exactly the kind of potato salad you picture enjoying on a hot summer day. What really sets Tony & Tina's apart is the customer service. The owners genuinely care about their customers. I've only had one issue, and it wasn't even their fault. It was a delivery service problem. They personally responded and made sure everything was handled professionally and promptly. If you haven't been there yet, give them a try. Grab a sandwich, check out the desserts, and if you're feeling lucky, they even have gaming machines. If you're busy and work from home like I do, their app makes ordering incredibly easy. Tony & Tina's has earned a customer for life!

DELICIOUS sandwiches! We also discovered that they use a local bakery for FRESH BAKED "FANTASTIC" BREAD! But it did not stop there... The owner (Tony) informed us that the Ham, Turkey, and Beef, are all prepared FRESH on site (This is NOT processed "Lunch meat"). I enjoyed the Italian sandwich, and my dining partner had the Club... Very delicious, generous portions, and fair pricing. We placed an order for a variety of 100 catered mini-sandwiches and Tony took special care to treat us right... THANKS Tony! It's a joy to visit a restaurant (Or any business) where the owners are personally Operating it and engaging with the guests... This place is a MUST VISIT!! Did I say, WOW, WOW, WOW?

3.5 stars, but rounded up because I didn't feel they deserved any deduction…read more I was REALLY looking forward to their #20 Old New Yorker, which I got in their Navel Cut pastrami. It was a solid 7, which is why I place it at 3.5 stars. I may be being picky here but it just wasn't to the level of "melt-in-your-mouth" pastrami standards for me. Not to say it wasn't good, because it was perfectly fine. In fact, it's better than most of the pastrami sandwiches I tried in Chicagoland. Maybe it's the fact that I had to bring it back to the office to eat it, and half hour had gone by and pastrami weren't as warm and the Jewish rye had become soggy by the time I took the first bite. I mean, it goes without saying that the sandwich would have been 3 times better had I sat down immediately and had it. Again, all things considered, it was a perfectly good sandwich. One interesting thing was that I had never been to an establishment that included a half sour pickle instead of a normal one and gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised. Pickles can be a hit or a miss for me. I like my pickles to be crunch, but some places offer overripened ones that become borderline mushy. Schmaltz's half sour pickle was not overly salty or sour, making it very attractive for me. The more I'm thinking about it, I'm convinced that I'll have to go back and try their #14 Sloppy Paul, which is the corned beef with sauerkraut, which is another favorite of mine. And this time, I'll be sure to dine in and give another review of it to see how much I like them better.

Lots of fun deli sandwiches to choose from. I chose a French Dip; hubby had a pick two-- a cup of matzo ball soup, and 1/2 corned beef sandwich. Both served with a whole new pickle. Mine was absolutely delicious. Tons of beef, melty swiss, and grilled onion. Served nice and hot with a tasty au jus. Hubby thoroughly enjoyed his as well. Great Jewish deli. The place is a mad house ... parking lot is full and be prepared for a grocery cart rally. Went on a Saturday morning. New guy in town for the experience. Great breads to choose from. This old world deli is jam packed full of goodies. So many, we are returning today for another pass. Couldn't make it out the door without trying some of their chocolates. The triple dipped malted milk balls will put you in a coma. Highly recommend without any reservations. We had already planned on visiting Franks Diner in Kenosha so we were excited to see that Tenuta's was just a few miles from Franks. After our excellent breakfast at Franks, we made our way to Tenuta's. We were both surprised and kind of excited when we arrived at an empty parking lot with plenty of spaces. It was when we attempted to go in that we noticed that they did not open for 15 minutes. Thus the empty parking lot. What happened over the next 15 minutes was something we have never experienced before. Cars began pulling in 2 and 3 at a time. People were walking up in groups to stand and wait for them to open. Keep in mind this was December and it was pretty cold outside. The closer we got to the time they opened, the more people that arrived. It kind of felt like black Friday shopping. People kept lining up and before you knew it, the parking lot was almost full. Wow. All for good reason as we got inside. Tenutas' is a one stop shop. They have pre-made foods, frozen foods, deli hot food, alcohol, of course some cheese, you name it. We picked up some Italian sausage, some frozen ravioli with their homemade sauce and a pack of their Italian beef. We really enjoyed the ravioli and the homemade sauce was delicious. Being a Chicago guy, the Italian beef was good, just not Chicago quality. The mild Italian sausage was very good and we look forward to enjoying the additional links that we have left. Very popular place that we would definitely visit again when we are back in the area.
