Sweet and charming breakfast cafe in Ravinia neighborhood called Fluffy Bunny. I don't know the reason behind the name, although it could be because there is an emphasis on freshly prepared, healthy food? I tried a mushroom latte (less caffeine, adaptogenic properties of mushrooms, more focus and energy) and it was great. My friend had a latte -- they serve organic Julius Meinl coffee. I tried an avocado Bay waffle -- with the vividest brightest salmon and greenest ripest avocado -- judging by the jewel like colors alone, this painterly breakfast was as beautiful as it was tasty. My friend enjoyed the Honey Bunny Syrniki, an Amish farmer cheese pancake (gluten free) with berries, which to me was a little like those jiggly Japanese soufflé pancakes. It was tasty and light and served in a bunny ear dish. There are bunnies in the decor, and the menu is named after bunnies. I don't know why but this sweet cafe is for every bunny.

A very nice and quiet place with delicious coffee. Whenever I visit friends, I always visit this cafe. It's a good place to grab a bite to eat while working. The barista is very friendly.

Best americano I have had in a long time. Today we also tried the sandwiches. Very generous portions and delicious, I really enjoyed the avocado and salmon with cream cheese. What a treat. Definitely give this a try :) I got a picture of my wife's sandwich but I scarfed mine before I could share -- sorry :) if anything the sandwich is huge so half order option might be nice for breakfast time.

I tried it for the first time. But it was delicious

I was really surprised by this new nice place in Highland Park. It's very European place. I especially liked the "syrniki" and coffee. Finally I can buy perfect coffee. The coffee is much better here than Starbucks. I took espresso and coffee latte to go. I will definitely come here again. Thanks guys!

I was so excited to visit a newly opened Fluffy Bunny Coffee Shop in the Highland Park! It certainly lived up my expectations and beyond. They have a great veriety of coffee drinks for anyone's taste buds. From classic Julius Meinl to mushroom coffees for those who look for a healthier options. Absolutely loved all the organic dishes we ordered. The fluffy baked omelet was delicious. I think owners should bottle up their homemade dressing, it adds so much flavor to the dish. Syrniki, the village cheese cakes, were so soft and tasty. Beautifully presented with fresh berries on a pretty dishes. Overall ambiance was very welcoming and staff was knowledgeable and friendly. I will definitely be back soon!

I got incredible pleasure from lavender Raf and syrniki. Very tasty and home-like warmth in this place! I recommend everyone to visit!

Warm friendly festive atmosphere, lavender Raf, huge portion of cheesecake! I'm happy! Have you been to Fluffy Banny yet? I highly recommend you to visit this cozy place!

    Best coffee in Highland park

The best coffee in Highland Park. I have never tasted such delicious coffee. Julius Meinl is my favorite coffee from Austria. Never compares to American roasted beans. I have not tried all the drinks yet, but most that I have tried were amazing. I also tried syrniki - this is some amazing European dish made from cottage cheese and it is simply magnificent and fluffy and most importantly it is gluten free. I would also like to note the friendly team and excellent service.

After some 25 years of searching - amazing espresso!

Ice cream. After spending the day outside and then grilling out, we (obviously) needed ice cream to complete our Saturday. We popped into Scoops and Cookies because it's not far from our house and because Homer's Ice Cream is always an enticing offer. They have a *ton* of flavors. The screens above the counter showcase everything, while you can see some of the flavors in the case. We sampled a few before deciding on a scoop of cappuccino chip in a sugar cone (mine) and two scoops of butter pecan and cookie dough in a dish (his). We were helped by who we assumed to be the owner, who was friendly and also keeping things moving as groups (understandably) hemmed and hawed over their flavor choices. While we weren't here for cookies this time, they piqued our interest and we'll explore that more on our next visit. There are quite a few tables inside with lots of seating, and everything was clean. Did this just become our new favorite ice cream place? Maybe!

The standard chocolate chip and the chocolate and toffee were my favorites from this visits flavors. The double chocolate were really one note and a bit overdone. I'd put that chocolate chip up there against any I've had though, really a perfect cookie. The girl working the counter was friendly and the place was clean inside, no complaints there. I'll definitely be back for the full experience!

I ordered the croque madame with the fried egg on top, and it was delicious. You can absolutely tell they use real butter--the true French way! My waistline might not thank them, but my tastebuds certainly did. I even brought home an almond croissant for the Hubby and snacked on a cheese and chive scone the next day, and everything was just fantastic. The only little hiccup is that the service can get a bit hectic. The staff seemed a little confused trying to match up the order numbers to the tables, and we almost got run over on our way out by a waiter sprinting to the patio! But even with the fast-paced environment, the food is wonderful whether you eat in or grab takeout. Definitely worth a visit! A much better experience here than MY 1st time. I think it's because they enlarged the dining area with more table space. It's still hard to have a conversation due to the high ceilings which echo the sound.
