These guys are awesome, they're honest. If they come to your house to service your HVAC system they actually "service your system" (shocking). I was a commercial construction executive for almost 20 years and I've seen A LOT of shady stuff. ********If you see an ad for a low cost ($50 or less) service special RUN......RUN AWAY from that company as fast as you can!****** Here's how these guys work......their technicians are on 100% commission, if he doesn't sell you "something" he doesn't get paid. If he doesn't consistently sell customers "something" he gets fired. No company can afford to come to your house for free (do you really think you can trust them?). A company can't even be profitable having a technician drive a van to your house for $49 and be profitable. For $49 they're not "servicing" anything, they're just visually looking for things to sell you (see 100% commission above). So don't fall for that BS! Go with someone you can trust.....Efficiency Mechanical. read more

Driving to work this morning and this guy in your vehilce 167 is riding everyone's ass including mine I guess I wasn't going fast enough for him then he gets upset speeds up faster next to me and starts moving in my lane I can't go anywhere cause someone is next to me on the other side.. all I have to say is if your employees are driving like this in a company truck I can't imagine the work you do.. read more

I trusted Efficiency Mechanical for over 10 years to install and maintain two top-of-the-line Carrier heat pump systems. On Sept 18, 2025, a power surge -- possibly lightning, though there's no evidence of a strike at my home -- destroyed BOTH units, leaving me without cooling in 104°F heat. Surge protectors were installed, but the company initially denied it until I sent proof. Even worse, my breaker panel was dangerously oversized (20, 40 amps instead of 15), leaving my systems unprotected for years. Both units were total losses -- replacement cost: $48,000. Instead of taking any responsibility, they blamed APS and offered only a refund of my unused maintenance plan. Verify everything if you use this company -- they denied, deflected, and failed to stand behind their work. Desert Mountain beware. : ( read more

Low quality, EXTREMELY HIGH prices, overcharge for items that were not done, don't complete all work they say they will and have a business style referred as churn and burn. BEWARE! read more

Pros: Quick response Service person did great job diagnosing issues. Negatives: Price quote. They were 3x more expensive than two quotes I got from similar skilled contractors for the same repair job. Why would I pay 3000 when others do it for 1000? That's just ripping people off. read more

I am rating this company poorly as I have been completely frustrated with their service and billing. I have tried working with them for over 3 years and each time there has been an issue it has resulted in overbilling and lots of excuses. Most recently they arrived for a service call on a warranty issue (after missing the issue during their annual maintenance contract visit) to issue me a quote for $2,500 to repair the warranty. After asking them about why it was so much, they misquoted hours for the job and made-up excuses for why things were so expensive. I terminated the work and my annual maintenance contract and hired another firm that came out to do the work for a fraction of the price. I do not trust there billing or their stories. read more

After nearly 20 years of using this contractor I recently had two heat pump fans replaced. The fans were warranted. The labor for 1.5 hours work and service call was $1340-which was far above prevailing rates. They will not be invited back obviously. read more

Awful!!!!! These guys are con artists. They quoted us $1600 for a wireless thermostat and install. I found the exact same one online for $212. When I called back and spoke to Joe, his quote was "that is the price of doing business". Unfortunately, we didn't do our homework on a capacitor they put in last week. They charged us $391 (not including install) for a $21.99 capacitor. This company should not be in business. They are complete crooks. When we called again today, the idiot on the phone said they know everything online is less and they support us buying our own equipment. Except most people do not know or think about that. I understand making a profit. But this is insane. read more

Whoever the man is that was driving this vehicle has HORRIBLE road rage. Riding every single car as close as they possibly could down ironwood. Traffic was already bumper to bumper and going 15 mph over the speed limit. I even got a few pictures (once traffic slowed down thankfully) of him after someone break checked him going through an intersection. DO NOT SUPPORT COMPANIES LIKE THIS. I have young kids in the car and have never had someone practically touch my back bumper at 75 mph. Super sad to see someone would drive so stupid and IN a company vehicle. read more

I highly recommend this company for HVAC work. Although they did not do the original installation at my home, they have been diligent about maintaining and repairing my equipment. The staff is very well trained and everybody is very friendly in the office. Kelly, Dispatch Manager, went out of her way secure warranty work for us. I could not be happier. read more

DO NOT. I REPEAT, DO NOT BUY OR USE THEIR SERVICE. They don't stay behind their product nor their service. They only have 1 repairman for the entire valley during their "24 hour service" and they will give you the run around on warranty issues. At this point, we are considering suing them for installing 2 AC units that have had 6 failed capacitors. read more

I can't say enough about the customer service ,management and staff they are so professional listen to your needs and come very quickly and also great prices ! We have been with them for 10 years and wouldn't go anywhere else. I have been a customer of Efficiency Mechanical ever since they installed my AC unit around 2010-2011! I'm so highly upset with the poor performance of this shoddy air conditioner. I've now replaced coils 2ce, motor once. Less than a week after new coils, broken again. I get the run around: "copper parts are not made well like they used to be"... but aluminum hasn't even lasted a week. Leakage was caused during this, which makes me wonder what is now pooling in my ceiling, walls etc. I'm literally livid! Justin Lang says "my Meter to test for leaks was broken, which was why I misdiagnosed the problem" Brian says "All the coils, by carrier, trane etc are crap" When I asked how he could work for a company who stood behind such junk he said "I need to support my family" Zero integrity.... zero care, concern or compassion for a loyal customer who has been on 2ce year maintenance plan with this company. Whoever drives their service truck with a license plate ending in 52 is a horrible driver. They ride you to get you to go faster and then swerve around you. I was going the speed limit in downtown Gilbert where there is a heavy cop presence. You would think a company would be concerned about the people driving their trucks. read more

Efficiency mechanical. This company is an example of service after the sale. They do it right or they don't do it at all. When it comes to the safety of your family and the cool and comfort of your house in Arizona you can't shortcut. Troy who's in sales was instrumental in helping make my selection for a brand-new unit. That was 6+ years ago. Justin Lang who is just out here today to service my unit was top notch. There's no excuse to use anybody else. Five star service whether you bought from them or you're servicing a pre-installed unit from somebody else. I'm sure you'll find somebody cheaper but you get what you pay for. read more

I have used Efficiency Mechanical for three years. They responded when my existing unit (serviced by a different company) died. They came out on Saturday diagnosed the problem and installed two new systems on Monday. They have been servicing my heating and A/C units ever since. Bill Smith is their technician and is the most detailed person I have ever met. Prompt, efficient, respectful, on-time and knowledgable! Highly recommended! Bill W. Scottsdale read more

We've utilized this company for years for install of new units (2 homes). And after yet another call on a 'new' unit that tripped a breaker, Brian Ruppert of this company did a fabulous job assessing for an issue. Our experience is that the techs are always thorough, seeking to resolve a problem - this unit being our first to have any. We even had a complex install of a split ac system that required technical planning/execution that went smoothly. They are professional, on-time, call ahead, and thorough. They've earned our trust for all the reasons listed and for being fair about the price. We've recommended them in the past, and again today to someone else, and as long as they keep their business model and awesome expert service techs, we'll keep them. read more

I had several quotes on balancing the air flow in my office. They all wanted to do a major overhaul of my duct work costing Thousands of dollars. Efficiency Mechanical came up with a simple solution that cost a fraction of the other guys. My office is now well balanced and I have been able to drop my thermostat by 4-5 degrees. My employees are happy because before Efficiency Mechanical came in half where freezing and the other half where hot. These guys where honest and very professional. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

We just hired Efficiency Mechanical to come out to our house we recently purchased to install an exhaust fan in our master bathroom and to re-insulate our attic. Matt came out to give us estimates and was very helpful in answering all questions we had about adding the insulation and the exhaust vent. He got back to us very fast with a very fair quote and we chose to use their services. A few days later, we set up a time for them to come do the work, the two guys who showed up were very friendly and I could tell they were knowledgeable about what they were doing. I wish I could remember their names, they were great. They put down protection to cover our flooring, etc. so it wouldn't get damaged or dirty during the process. They installed the fan first and then blew in the insulation. During the installation of the vent, they came to me to let me know that our other bathroom's vent duct work was not installed properly and the flapper was not opening fully, they let me know they had already fixed it for me, even though it was not a part of the scope of work included in their bid. They also told me one of our A/C ducts was leaking air...which they also fixed without asking for any more money. This was all extra work they didn't have to do, or they could have asked for more money, but being an ethical company, they made sure they were not just adding what we asked for, but making sure everything around it was working properly as well. All in all, it seemed as they finished the job pretty quick and came to me to inspect their work before they left. There were a few drywall nails that had popped out a little bit in the ceiling from their cutting and/or walking (crawling) around the attic. They grabbed their drywall compound right away and patched up all the holes, without any question as to whether they caused them or not. They offered to come back to paint over the compound for us as well which we declined as I already had other patch paint work to do from the electrician before them. They let me climb up to the attic to inspect the insulation (verify the depth agreed on) and were on their way. Altogether a great experience (rare for a lot of contractors) but if we ever need mechanical work on this house or any others down the road, Efficiency has earned a customer for life, thanks for the great work! read more

We have been Efficiency Mechanical customers for 7+ years and when it came time to replace one of our systems, there was no question which company we were going to choose. Our first call was to our friendly service tech Jason to get his advice, he then connected us with Matt in sales. Matt worked up a few estimates, including an exact replacement and other options with a few upgrades based on technology advancements in the last 10 years since original unit was installed. We had a few conversations with Matt to make sure that our expectations were synced with the unit and its performance. Once everything was selected, Matt connected us with Cris and the install team. They made the installation process as turnkey as possible in this scenario, including upgrading some of the ductwork, so that the new unit could breathe better, reinforced support structure decking, and kept the workspace tidy throughout the project. Their attention to detail is second to none from beginning to end. Well done, Efficiency Mechanical team! read more

Ray Sewall came out when our air conditioner was't working on a hot Arizona afternoon in July. Even though it is a "dry" heat- I didn't want to experience it INSIDE of my home ( and my canines didn't want "hot dogs" on the menu!) We had already scheduled our bi-weekly maintenance for the following week-but this couldn't wait. Ray was professional and knowledgeable and we couldn't be more thrilled with his service. It is important to utilize a reputable company who stands behind their workers and Efficiency Mechanical hits a bullseye every time! read more

Our family has been using Efficiency Mechanical since 1997, starting with an equipment replacement, then designing and installing the HVAC system for our 1250 SF addition, later on two more equipment replacements, re-insulating our entire attic space, cleaning and re-sealing our ductwork and year -round maintenance of all equipment. I have always been impressed with their great attitude, friendly and highly skilled technicians, and responsiveness. Overall, a great air conditioning company to use! Steve Pisarcik read more

This company just came to our home to fix the AC after it had been out for a few days and no other companies could get here to fix it for another 24-48 hrs. They were here in less than 30 minutes and got the AC running, cleaned-up, etc fairly quickly. Mechanic was clean (esp considering his line of work), polite, and didn't leave a huge mess for me to clean-up. It also took him less than 30 seconds to know what the problem was & how he was going to fix it. read more

Let me explain the 1 star. When I am told that a company offers 24/7 service, but then you call at 7 pm on Saturday (in 100-degree weather in July with AC issues) and the "on call" tech tells you he is finishing up for the day. Here is the deal, this is not the first time I have had to pick up my family and get an alternate living situation for the night so someone could come out the next day to fix my AC. BUT, if you market 24 hour service and DON'T come out at 8 pm on Saturday, TAKE DOWN YOUR 24/7 SERVICE marketing. It's just a lie and irresponisble. read more

Had another company come and tell me I needed a new system and quoted me a price over 6 thousands dollars. Called efficiency for a second prove to compare, talked to Bob who while he was happy to Price out a new system install, encouraged me to have his repair staff come take a look first.. Figured for the price of a service call it was worth a shot. Guy called first like they said he would, showed up exactly when he said he would, got right at it.. Within 20 minutes had my system up and working with 2 new parts. Less than 400.00 instead of thousands!. I don't know if they are the cheapest out there but they are honest. Instead of selling me a whole new system, they sold me only what it took to do the job right. They earned my business. Thanks Bob- Ryan read more

These guys are great. Rob Roper was my tech, and he was very knowledgeable and upfront during my service. I've used Efficiency for years, and they always have the best people who know exactly what they're talking about. Dont go anywhere else if you need ac/heater servicing. read more

For purposes of clarity since I was contacted by the company I want to make sure that my complaint with Efficiency is that simply did not note in any of their semi-annual check ups that there was paint on the compressor coils. I feel this should have been noted by them as part of their inspection. Perhaps there would not have been any remedy but that does not relieve their service people of noting "potential" issues. Great companies do not get defensive they take inputs and use them appropriately. read more

Wanted just an normal maintenance, Bill Smith was the tech. Besides being rude and overweight, before he was finished with the job he told me a bunch of "future repairs" had to be made on failing parts that totaled thousands of dollars. My system was only 3 years old!! I had Parker and Sons come out and they gave me a satisfaction bill of health and then cleaned the coils that Bill had supposedly done that was part of the maintenance. I would never use Efficiency Mechanical again. read more

We recently moved here full time last July. We were having trouble with an air conditioning unit in our new home when the first company showed up and told us he could not even get into the furnace/blower area without first removing and re-plumbing the water heater because it was in the way of the unit... Your company was a referral from our friend and contractor P.J. Lane Contracting, He ask us to say nothing about what the last heating & air company had told us and just see what you guys had to say. Tim Ryder was the tech that showed up within two hours of our call to you, he was very nice and professional. Tim went through the top part of the unit and cleaned out all of the debris that had accumulated through a remodel and had it working like a charm! I then ask him to service a second unit which he did. Then I ask him to service two other units at a rental property that we have here in Scottsdale. I would not go anywhere other than Efficiency Mechanical or your technician Tim Ryder! Thanks Guys! David Holbrook Scottsdale AZ. read more
