The atmosphere reminds me of eating at my grandparents house when they were still in Jersey, ah the good days. Thats what this shop fees like. The old school sound system right above the fridge and the decor on the wall screams with nostalgia. The owner and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Don't really notice how spoiled we are in New Jersey to have so many great sub and pizza joints. I lean more towards cold subs, have yet to try the others. Hidden gem! read more

Came to the Edison sub shop where my wife and I needed to get some breakfast and our stove was out of commission. Typically we make a lot of breakfast at home but being that we were buying more meals out, my wife had saw a breakfast sandwich sign for the Edison Sub shop. I went inside and there wasn't a line so I was able to order right away. They had a pretty good breakfast sandwich deal that I think is probably the best in the area. I was also surprised that they carried thuman's cold cuts, which in my opinion are the best cold cuts, having managed a deli a long time ago. The inside is nice with a few places to sit and while my sandwiches are being made, I had a nice conversation with the man behind the counter. I talked to my wife about planning to come here in the future more frequently as the service was really good. They were very friendly and the sandwiches were well priced at. If you're a local we're passing by, you should definitely stop in and get something from them. You will not be disappointed. read more

Driving north on 95 for the holidays and stuck in traffic with three teens and a dog. Searched and found this gem. Owner Mike was friendly and told us his favorites. Everything we ate was super fresh and prices were outstanding. I was outside with the puppy and when my husband came out with our food he has an extra delight. OMG i FINALLY FOUND a real deli/sub shop. This is a little gem on woodbridge ave my son and i stumbled upon when i got tired of hearing him whine about how hungry he was. The bread and meats are super fresh and the whole sub is enormous. Lots of different breakfast options too. This will be my regular sub place going forward. I just moved to the neighborhood and my boyfriend who is not a big pizza guy said it was a good place, and because he's picky l had to try. I was not disappointed, the 2 pizza sliced with sausage was really great, large slices with thin crust and did l say they were generous on the sausage which was delish the pizza slices taste like it was just baked, crisp and gooey with cheese, yummy! The Customer service was even better, the Manager and the waitress who was her daughter were super friendly and helpful. After some conversation with the manager l felt like l knew her forever that's how nice they are here family owned and run, she even gave me a tiramisu dessert on the house which they make fresh on the premises, how sweet was that this is a great place all around. This has been my go to sub place for years. They are amazing. Their food is always fresh and delicious and the pricing is great. My daughter is so in love with one of their breakfast wraps that all I have to do is ask for "her special" and they know exactly how to make it just how she likes it. Their food is so good that I've even started using lunches from them as a bribe to get my employees to meet goals and it works like a charm! They use thumann meats, which I have recently come to like. However, the bread is a little too soft, and the onions are cut small, so they all fall out of the sandwich as soon as you pick it up. I got a super sub, and it was very good, but a bit of a mess. I got a half, which was huge, so a whole sandwich from here can easily feed 2 hungry people. They also had ruffles chips, which is my favorite so I liked that. The staff was super friends and very fast. If they got different bread and cut the onions a bit bigger I'd go here all the time. read more

I walked in after doing laundry across the street and I was so blown away at the service to be such a small shop they are very friendly I spoke with the woman who is making the sandwiches and we had a conversation about school my recent graduation and my new job she was so nice plus my sandwich was made very well and like I said the customer service is just very very great very nice people. If you're looking for a good sub shop, this isn't it. Very little meat, minimal lettuce and subpar tomatoes and maybe not day old bread, but not soft or fresh.... Soup was good but overheated in the microwave. Very sad as its a good location and the excellent atmosphere. Haven't been in here recently and u see things haven't changed. I was looking for a good sub shop but did not want to go all the way over to Tastee to get a sub so I thought that I would give them a try. All ingredients are fresh. The meat & cheese is sliced for your sandwich. Bread was okay, not great. My biggest compliant is that they only put one thin layer of meat and cheese on the sub!........I tasted the bread more than anything......disappointing! read more
