Reservations: Convenient to make through OpenTable though they're usually able to accommodate walk-ins. Parking: They have an adjacent paid parking lot though metered street parking is cheaper since they unfortunately don't validate. Ambiance: Really gorgeous inside, with high arced wooden beam ceilings, natural light through skylights, romantic dim lighting, candles, lots of potted trees for greenery, and velvet seating to add elegance. Even the plates are worth admiring. They have a nice patio with heat lamps for cooler evenings as well. I absolutely love the vibes for date night. I have eaten here four times now and have a reservation ready for my fifth. The menu changes EVERY WEEK and the fact that the ingredients are so seasonal, and the chef really seems to takes pride and passion in creating different dishes so often, keeps me coming back each time. They have done specials from Sunday Night $35 7-course omakase to 50% off Neighborhood Patio nights to $65 for two 4-course date nights and the quality is so worth it. I even came by for an art class hosted on the patio since they hold multiple community events, including sports watch parties. The best yellowtail I've had (including eating in Japan and various sushi spots in LA, OC, SF, and NY) was surprisingly here, at a place I was honestly hesitant to even order sushi from. It's the first time I actually really could taste the flavor as it's more subtle than tuna, salmon, or albacore but they somehow made it incredibly memorable from the freshness. Definitely order the hamachi with pomegranate. I loved the flavor with the ponzu and that it wasn't just the basic jalapeño combo. There was a Singaporean crab garlic butter noodle dish they made once that was incredible though sadly seemed to be on the menu that time only. This was my absolute favorite entree they've offered so far. The gem lettuces Caesar salad is amazing although unfortunately, both times I've ordered it without cheese, they forgot. The boquerones (anchovies) are a gem (ha) that really adds to the salad and I love the texture from the herb crust. Their signature shrimp toast has a good crunch from the sesame seeds and distinct pieces of shrimp rather than mush inside and the ikura on top adds another good layer of flavor. The vegetable curry was rich, flavorful, and savory witbout being too heavy with perfectly cooked potatoes that didn't just hide in the sauce in a way that actually didn't make me miss the meat. The short rib curry had such tender meat and the roti made in house was actually a major highlight for me as it was so flaky, hot, crispy and had an amazing garlic flavor. The chocolate pot de creme had a good orange zest flavor to add to the chocolate and wasn't too rich or heavy though the texture was thicker. The calamari had super crispy batter so didn't associate it as much with a lighter tempura one but the lemons in it and the roasted garlic marinara sauce it came with were so good and added a lot of depth. The butter curry prawns has SUCH well cooked shrimp - flavor was amazing. Miso salmon was good though crispy skin side up would have been better personally. I liked the olive oil flavor in the vinaigrette and the lemon with veggies on the side as well. The tres leches was surprisingly light for a cake and very moist so I enjoyed a lot and the caramel ice cream wasn't overly sweet. The lychee vodka drink is my favorite (came with a drink pairing they offered with Sunday omakase) and the imperial gold yuzu cocktail is better for those who like a stronger drink. The grilled asparagus was cooked to a tenderness with great flavor from the crispy onions on top that have somehow made it among my top favorite dishes here, despite it just being a small side vegetable dish but I didn't like asparagus until this! I would definitely recommend coming here for dinner over brunch personally, as those have been my most memorable bites. Definitely order the yellowtail sashimi, shrimp toast, gem lettuces Caesar salad! Hoping the garlic butter crab noodles, grilled asparagus with crispy onions, and housemade roti reappear on the dinner menu!

We had a reservation here for our 10th anniversary. A few days before our reservation, someone reached out to let us know there would be loud music playing and it might not be the best environment for an anniversary dinner. We had been wanting to try this place for a while and couldn't move the date but music was completely fine with us. The music was actually great! It was a private event indoors so we sat outside on the patio. Unfortunately, the food was only ok and the service was not ideal. No one acknowledged our anniversary, throughout the entire evening even though it was in the open table reservation notes. The shrimp and chicken dumplings were amazing. The Hamachi sashimi was very fatty and there was a few pieces we couldn't eat. The fried chicken sandwich was OK although it tasted very simple for $26. At the end of the dinner we got the bill with a 2.5% service fee + 20% auto gratuity for "event". I normally tip this much but I found so I don't mind that it was automatically included, but it was odd we paid an auto 20% gratuity for an event we were not a part of - we weren't even seated inside where the private event was taking place. Unfortunately, the three stars comes down to the fact that even though it was our 10th anniversary, there was no acknowledgment of the special day and the food was sub-par.

Was a little skeptical based on the reviews, but gave it a shot since they were running a good Travelzoo deal. This wasn't even worth the parking meter fare. Service: sucked. There seemed to be only 1 waiter, and he chatted for 15 mins with his friends at the table next to us. We eventually had to ask the hostess if someone could bring water and take our orders. When he finally came by, he brought a major attitude. Food: they were out of crab cakes by 6:30pm on a Friday night. The linguine with calamari and shrimp in vodka sauce was clearly made with frozen seafood and a watery bottled sauce (my husband was raised on ragu so he knows it when he sees it - but either way it was definitely not a vodka sauce). The shrimp was okay (3 pieces) but the calamari was inedible chunks. The cheeseburger was bland, though the fries were great. Cocktails: the paper menu didn't include prices, but based on the tables around us I could see they were tiny. The Travelzoo deal included "sparkling wine" which reminded me of Andre back in the day. We didn't even use the full Travelzoo value to try dessert, because it wasn't worth another annoyed sigh from the waiter and the inevitable 30 min wait. I'm pretty sure all the rave reviews here are from family and friends - one table let their toddler run around the booths screeching like it was a McDonald's play place. Cobi's remains our favorite spot in the area.

My husband and I went to Edgemar for a low key Valentine's dinner. It was our first time here and honestly probably our last. The space is really nice and the vibe is great. It was a Saturday night and pretty empty, but we did go on the earlier side. Our server was also really friendly and attentive, definitely a highlight. The food just didn't hit for us. The bread service was disappointing and looked nothing like the photos we saw. Not sure if we got the wrong thing, but it wasn't good. The shrimp toast was decent but super heavy. The Caesar was not great, and no one mentioned it comes with whole anchovies on top. I'm fine with anchovy in the dressing, but the actual pieces were a lot. The chicken karaage was okay, again really heavy, but the sauce was the best part. We also tried the taco special which was just alright, nothing memorable. Overall, the vibe and service were good, but the food didn't live up to it. Probably wouldn't come back.

Unexpectedly loved it... such a beautiful space and such good vibes in it. Delicious surprise is how Asian leaning alot of the dishes are. I didn't know that based on just the name and was so pleasantly surprised. Our half Asian kid (the true foodie of the crew) loved every. single. dish. Little gem salad usually a throwaway dish was perfectly seasoned. One of the best salads I've had in La Shrimp toast so delightful and crispy crunchy big portion devoured by our kid Duck tacos were an incredible take on Chinese duck Miso Salmon was melt in your mouth ridiculously smooth they must sous vide it Drinks super balanced and yummy Service was on point - not overly stuffy but felt cared for the whole time The Ube cheesecake desert was so light fluffy balanced. Thumbs up from our foodie barometer.

I had my birthday dinner here and it was incredible!! We had an area that was a little more private which was nice. The service was great and everything we ate was soo good. We shared a bunch of appetizers with the table including Straciatella, Honey Butter Bread, Shrimp Toast, Wontons and Hamachi. For the mains, my husband and I shared the Prawns and Roasted Duck. We truly enjoyed everything we had and the breads were to die for. Will definitely be back!

Had an absolutely lovely Sunday night dinner here! I asked my server for recommendations, ordered them, and was very pleased. I had the Bread Service (epic miso honey butter that I still think about), the Duck Breast (so good), and Tres Leches cake for desert. Everything was so delicious and the restaurant itself is gorgeous, with lovely decor and mood lighting. Will definitely come back!

We celebrated our wedding here, and I honestly can't thank the team enough for making the experience so wonderful. When we arrived, we found out our reservation had accidentally been canceled because the restaurant had the wrong phone number on file and my confirmation email hadn't gone through. It could have been a really upsetting way to end such an important day, but the owner Dominic stepped in immediately and handled everything with such kindness, professionalism, and quick thinking. He found a solution so quickly that what could have been a disaster became nothing more than a small hiccup. We were so relieved and incredibly grateful. Once we were seated, Anna and Stacey took amazing care of us. They were warm, attentive, and genuinely made our family feel welcome throughout the entire meal. Their service struck that perfect balance of being thoughtful without ever feeling intrusive, and they helped make our post-wedding celebration feel relaxed and joyful. The food was absolutely delicious, and everyone in our group left happy. After all the planning that goes into a wedding, having a team that truly cared about making sure our celebration went smoothly meant the world to us. A huge thank you to Dominic, Anna, Stacey, and the entire team for turning what could have been a stressful situation into such a memorable celebration. We can't wait to come back!

Had such a great experience at Edgemar in Santa Monica. We went on a Sunday during Coachella weekend, so LA was basically a ghost town and we found street parking right away. The ambiance is beautifully done, modern coastal. Perfect for a comfortable but elevated dinner. We started with the bread service, chili wontons, and gem lettuce. The bread service was my favorite, warm, soft, and the miso butter was divine. The chili wontons were also a standout, especially if you enjoy dim sum. They had great flavor and balance. The gem lettuce was fresh and simple, reminiscent of Jon & Vinny's in the best way. For entrees we had the butter shrimp and Scottish salmon, both really good, no complaints. But honestly the appetizers stole the show for me. Would definitely come back just to try more of the starters. Such a good spot.

Decided to try here on a Sunday night, not knowing that they have this amazing Sunday Night Omakase! Didn't know what to expect because it's not like a Japanese sushi restaurant where you'd expect different sashimi / nigiri etc. But see photos, First off, the staff (host, waitresses, Pamela especially) were so kind and welcoming and listened about my allergies. The food was delicious, and way too filling! We got the Omakase which was enough for 2, but also the short rib which just made us way too full. Also, the interior decor and design is stunning! Feels like out of a fancy architecture magazine. Can't wait to come back!

Sweet and sour chicken. Perfect flavors.

Another Sunday dinner - another 5 star experience. We joined for the Chinese takeout themed night. They seriously never miss. My favorites were the bread service (flatbread fresh out of the oven over honey butter), sweet and sour chicken, the peas, and chocolate mousse, but the standout winner for the night was the noodles!!! We fought over the last bite. Love to see that more people are coming here. It will be cool to know we found it before it got popular and books out weeks in advance. First date, nice family dinner, just don't want to cook... try the Sunday omakase. It's legit.

I went here for dineLA with a group of friends. Total was $45 for dinner, not including tax and tip. 3 courses included. We ordered the bread service, chili wontons and shrimp toast to start. Their bread was so fluffy and delicious and the shrimp toast was also very flavorful. Wontons were good but the least favorite of the 3 appetizers. We ordered the salmon, skirt stead and short rib rendang as entrees. The short rib was a on the spicier side, but all the dishes were cooked and flavored really well. We ordered both desserts (chocolate pot de crème and pandan rice pudding) and I enjoyed the chocolate dessert more but they were both delicious. Not sure if these items are on their regular menu but we really enjoyed the dineLA menu. There is a paid parking lot attached to the restaurant. There is also street parking available.

Wow, has this place has fallen hard. We came when it first opened and was blown away, then returned tonight (with friends! Ugh) and it was AWFUL. First red flag was how long we had to wait after we were seated for anyone to come over, but that can really be forgotten if the food hits. The bread with miso honey butter gave us a promising start to the meal. Fresh, hot, flavorful, excellent. But man, did it go downhill fast from there. If you're going to call it a panzanella salad, there better be bread all over that thing, but no, I had two measly pieces. Then the chili mushroom noodles were absolutely disgusting and literally inedible. The noodles were mush and the sauce was so heavy on the acid with nothing to cut it, it was so bad. The burger, which we loved so much the first time, was overcooked and bland. No flavor. The fried chicken sandwich was meh, the sauce was missing depth. Both were TINY, more like sliders than actual sandwiches, and for $18 each? Get outta here with that. The short rib was the best thing we had, the steak was ok, both were pretty standard. Then for dessert, the pandan rice pudding had a nice pandan flavor, but the mango was so underripe, you could barely taste the mango flavor. Dang, I hate it when a restaurant wastes my calories and money. What a downfall. What a shame. What happened??

It was initially confusing when we arrived, because there was no host on shift, and we had to ask the barista inside where we should be going. After taking a peek in the actual downstairs basement tavern, we opted to sit outside under the eclectic mix of chandeliers, heat lamps, and lightbulbs, instead of the empty smoky basement. There was a live pianist playing in the front lawn, which was amazing and pretty much made the night. I don't know if it's a regular thing, but if it is, I'd definitely come back just for that. Probably since it was a weekday night, the place was pretty deserted, but we didn't mind - it was like a private show with plenty of seating options. The happy hour food was awesome. We got a bunch of appetizers to share, and there was plenty of food. Our favorite was probably the grilled octopus and calamari, and the brussel sprouts were amazing. The fish tacos and ceviche were not bad, but tasted basically the same. Our server was really sweet. In the future, I would come in a group of three since it seems like all the appetizers come in multiples of three and it would have been more easily shared between us.

He's very attentive and friendly, didn't take forever to get a drink either, no attitude. Drinks aren't watered down either. Nice! You come here to grab quick drinks when you don't feel like being at a loud dive bar in the area, it's in a hotel but not too upscale, no strict dress code. Music is not loud and they have couches and booth if bar table if not your thing, you don't have to yell or pretend you hear everything to hold a conversation here (lol). ** Keep in mind 20% gratuity is automatically included in bill, it's my first time here. But I think I've other spots I'd prefer to be in, even at Santa Monica. Wouldn't be self-motivated to come back because there are better places that specialises mixology, and there are also better upscale hotel bars to be at. But if you're around the area it's a great intimate bar for date night that's not overly pricey. Wouldn't travel all the way to here just for this (if you know what I mean).

Talented bar staff that are able to quickly make an actually good tasting drink while crazy busy. Crowded and loud with live music and people dancing. But good vibes. Our server greeted at the door and seemed great at first. We had immediate issues when our orders were brought out in a weird order and included items that we didn't realize would be included with it. The entrées themselves were extremely small and not worth the money; that was just including the parts that were actually decent to eat. We had some people on our group that had some food/dietary limitations that were not addressed when we ordered the food/not clearly stated enough on the menu, and when we politely address these to the server, he became very cold and rude. It took ages to get the replacement food out, and the server even tossed one of the plates onto the table and some of the food fell off of it and he did nothing to fix it. I have rarely seen experience as unprofessional and outright hostile before in an establishment like this, and to say that I was shocked with the severe understatement. To summarize: this was not a good experience whatsoever and none of us will be returning here again.

The bartender showed me a menu which I could order food that will be delivered from The Brixton. Scan the QR code to order. "Sorry, we aren't accepting orders at the moment..." I guess I could finish my beer, pay my tab and go searching for something good to eat. She didn't know the Wi-Fi password neither because they changed the password. Why broadcast the guest Wi-Fi if you aren't going to make it available? There was no organizer for the meetup event. With only a handful of people here, do I want to wait for the karaoke session? It's time to go eat somewhere else.

The speakeasy is unique and even serves full menu of great food! Aesthetic & Ambiance: 9.5/10 - it was very prohibition themed and the menus being price/luggage tags was very fun. Came on a saturday night at 6:30 reservation and it was very quiet with us being the only table most of the evening. The outside restaurant has live bands which can be a little loud. Service: 100/10 - Markley was the bartender and the only one who operates the speakeasy, she's not only the best bartender Ive had custom drinks from, but she also makes each individual product herself. She explained every part of the drinks and ingredients, and even offered to make any kind of drink we'd want if there was nothing on her menu. Drinks: 10/10 - if you like cocktail bars this is it...EVERY drink was a unique in flavor and handcrafted by Markley from steep to serve. house-infused liquors and tinctures- ONE OF A KIND BAR Food: 8.5/10 - all around great some dishes better than others Bread & Butter - 9/10 great toasted sourdough with a garlic butter and the butter was perfect salty-addition. Calamari - 7/10 a little too breaded for my liking with the rings and tentacles being a little dry. Deviled eggs: 7.5/10 interesting they were fried, but had great flavor all over Mongolian Beef: 8/10 very good flavor, and rice was tasty, but the sauce was a little salty. Cajun chicken pasta: 9.5/10 chicken was tender, pasta was cooked perfectly, sauce was delicious, and the sausage was a great addition. I'd easily drive an hour from LA again to come here!

It had a cool vibe and tons of allocated bottles on the bar (tequila and whiskey and whisky to name a few categories). The staff greeted us quickly and supplied us with some menus. I opted for the Idyllwild cocktail and loved it! It had the most complementary flavors and was so refreshing with the bourbon, yuzu, chartreuse, honey, and lemon flavors. My husband opted for a neat Caballito Cerrero Puntas pour (high proof agave spirit). They only had 0.5 Oz for their bottle and only charged for the partial pour. People came in and ordered anything from cocktails to neat pours to flights. It was a cool spot and the bartenders seemed pretty well versed in different cocktails, giving a few suggestions to different patrons. Even making a few Espresso Martinis for a couple of girls that didn't really like their initial cocktails. Staff was cool, attentive, and pretty quick and efficient with the pours.
