I went there for a group dinner in their private dining area and the food was TERRIBLE. In what world do you serve the exact same sides with every single entree?? I understand that we had a large party (about 20 people), but c'mon! I've had buffets that were better than that. It was also outrageously expensive considering the quality of food: we all got a square of some sort of potato lasagna--and then carrots and green peas with all of our entrees, all of which were disgusting. The table bread was stale and the crab cakes were basically just bread crumbs formed into a round patty. read more

The top choice for downtown Bethlehem. The truffle burger is fantastic, the alatian pizza, spicy tuna, all great choices. Martinis are excellent. Small medium and large plates? read more

I like the French/Asian fusion with American cuisine. Enjoy the place a lot, will be returning ASAP

I went for dinner with a group of coworkers while we were all in town. It's in a great location and easily accessible, as its attached to a parking garage. We made reservations because there were 9 of us, but we probably would have been ok without (it was mid-week). Happy hour goes until 7, I think it was, but it was only available at the bar and we had a table so I'm not sure exactly what it consisted of. Quiet, dimly lit, relaxing dining room. The server was knowledgable of the menu and provided delicious selections. Some of us split a deconstructed BLT salad as an appetizer and it was yummy! I had the crab cakes with potatoes au gratin and slaw...absolutely wonderful! My coworkers had various things from the menu, and no one had any complaints or was unsatisfied. The portions were the perfect size. The wine/cocktail list was decent. The desert menu looked so good, but we were all too full to order anything. I will definitely go again and think it's a must-do for dinner while in the area. read more

I had the displeasure of trying Edge for the first time this week. I should preface this by saying that I've visited possibly every other restaurant in the Main Street Bethlehem area, and none of them have driven me to write reviews. However the experience at Edge was so much worse than at any of their competition that I felt it necessary to do so in this case. When we arrived we were presented with a two menus: the standard menu, and a "pre fixe" special menu they were running. So we prepared our order, we ordered the full Pre Fixe meal, and additionally an appetizer from the main menu. It was at this point that the server informed us "Actually, 'The Kitchen' doesn't allow our customers to order from both menus. I think it's dumb, but these are the rules." When pressed for more info about how we could order appetizers (because we were, in fact hungry), the server said "oh, there are appetizers on the pre fix menu," and pointed to the salads we already ordered. When we pointed this out, and asked if it was possible to buy any more food than what we had already ordered, she said "Oh. No." This absurd establishment literally refused to serve us more food. We weren't trying to substitute. We weren't trying to take advantage of any promotion. We just wanted to not leave our dinner reservation hungry. And we were told no, they didn't want our money. This was only the beginning of the abysmal experience. I'll try not to be too verbose, but the following are all worth note: * Our entrees took over an hour and a half to arrive at our table. We were assured by our server that they would be "right" out every 10 minutes however. When they finally did come out, she assured us that the wait was only so long because there was a large party in another room. * The seasonal drinks are overpriced and terrible (to the point where the alcohol was all but undetectable). * The food was hit or miss: there were occasional up moments (e.g. the salmon was cooked beautifully), and many lows (e.g. the pork was terrible and dry). This seemed more egregious than normal since they were heavily advertising this pre fixe menu. One would think they were putting their best foot forward, in which case I would hate to try anything on their *normal* menu. * My wife's dessert was a roughly-three-inch-wide puck of slightly-gelatinous caramel. It looked like someone had managed to caramelize the top bun of a McDonald's hamburger. I'm not even angry, just... confused. * They don't take discover. Not a big deal, it just seemed like having my payment rejected was a fitting end to the evening. Overall, the service was abysmal, whatever stick the so-called "Kitchen" is sitting on is clearly deeply-embedded, the food was mediocre, and all of this is made worse by the fact that you can look out any window in the building and see people dining at better restaurants. If you are considering dining at Edge my recommendations are: *DON'T. Instead, try any of the dozen good restaurants within a block of it. Apollo Grille, Twisted Olive, Melting Pot, Cachette, Tapas, McCarthy's, Brew Works, etc. I will happily visit any of those other restaurants again, but this will be my only experience with Edge. read more

Was in town for a business trip and decided to drop in based on the great reviews. The food and drink were amazing. To drink I had a vodka dirty martini that was perfectly crafted. To start we had duck confit gnocchi and the tuna tartare which were AMAZING, I highly recommend the tuna tartare, it's far better then most restaurants I have dined at around the United States. For my main course I chose the pork tenderloin in a cranberry reduction and a bed of mashed potatoes and for grilled asparagus, absolutely amazing! Finished the meal off with a chocolate and peanut butter pie which was quickly cleaned off the plate, also fantastic. Next year when I return to Bethlehem I will definitely return. I highly recommend this restaurant to locals and others traveling. Enjoy! read more

Beautiful restaurant and bar! Great spot to have a few cocktails at the bar and/or a nice dinner. Really nice ambiance. Menu items are good, but the menu was limited. read more

The Edge was one of my favorite restaurants. However, we made a reservation one month in advance for a company Christmas party. Email confirmation was provided by the restaurant. Upon arrival, we were notified that a reservation didn't exist on their end. Irregardless of the email confirmation, they refused to accommodate our party and stated that we should have phoned in to reconfirm. Nothing was offered for their mistake other than an apology and 14 hungry staff members of mine. Needless to say, I will NEVER patronize this place again. There are plenty of fabulous restaurants around that are more accommodating than The Edge. Please reconfirm your reservation at least three times prior to arriving as this seems to be how they prefer to run their business. read more

Sleek Manhattan style ambiance. Delicious food. Pricey but worth it. Excellent blue cheese olive martinis too.

Wow! From the first time I called for reservation for a ladies night this place has been top notch. The food was amazing. I still dream of the Asian pear salad and the Filet melted in my mouth. Service was top notch, he was on the ball but not over the top hovering. I was even more impressed when I went back a few weeks later for donation for a Tricky Tray I was organizing for my children's school and they gave me a $75 gift card on the spot! Very impressive. Hands down my favorite restaurant! read more

I've used this place a couple times over the past couple of weeks for some business meetings. Always helpful and my guys really like the place and the food. Thanks for everything! read more

The food here is so good. I got the baby greens salad, the goat cheese was amazing. I also got the 4 oz. filet. I never need a larger steak than that so I appreciate a restaurant that has a 4 or 5 oz steak on the menu. The potato gratin that came with the steak was one of the best things I've ever eaten. We sat at a table in the lounge area since we made a late reservation. Nice ambiance and everyone serving us was very nice and helpful. read more

Went there for an event, they didn't vacuum the room, some of the utensils had to be wiped (we asked them to replace, they didn't), the food was mediocre for the price. They wouldn't refill the lettuce, getting a dinner roll or refilling the water glass was impossible, and the "manager" talked about us right outside the door even though we weren't making noise... guests heard him when going to the bar. Wait staff was slow and worst of all, they looked at me like I was from Mars when I asked for accommodations for my disabled son. I go back to Bethlehem quite a bit, but not there. read more

Food decent, not great. Pretentious and way overpriced for this area. Wouldn't return.

Love the small, medium and large plates. So much variety on their menu. Attentive staff, nice wine selections by the glass, and quiet atmosphere. Just a little dark when you first walk in. Convenient inside access from the parking garage. read more

Absolutely one of the best restaurants in the Lehigh Valley. Top notch service, perfectly prepared appetizers and entrees, especially the duck. Considering the level of service and quality of the food, pricing is reasonable. Nice atmosphere hidden in what looks like a strip mall or office building. read more

I'm a super foodie and I must say the food was Phenomenal!!!!! The staff is super attentive and this place is run like a well oiled machine. No one skips a beat!! The ambiance is great. The food was superb. Everything we tried from the homemade cream of mushroom soup, homemade tofu for the fried coconut appetizer, lettuce wraps, homemade gnocchi, ... I would try anything on the menu. Unfortunately, the service as terrible. The waitstaff as not attentive. I had to wave across the room to get anyone's attention. This is an easy fix. I hope Edge does some training or hires a new floor manager. The food will bring me back. read more

My absolute favorite restaurant in Bethlehem. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because we never leave before spending under 150$ and therefore we can't go very often. The tuna tartar and the peanut butter pie dessert are both AMAZING! :) read more

My Wife and I are Foodies. We are business travelers and eat at fine dining restaurants in majors cities all over the country. Edge was amazing. It rocked. We had two finely crafted Martinis @ the bar and an app of Duck confit hash. Our Female bartender was attentive and a fantastic hostess. The salads and entrees (Crab Cakes & Chicken Breast) served at our table were memorable. The service was on almost on par with the excellent food. We happened upon Edge on a Monday night post a large local graduation and they were operating off of a limited menu. We could NOT have been more satisfied! If you love Food, you will love Edge. read more

First time here for a friend's birthday, some guests came all the way from NYC - service not good. Server was nowhere to be found, confused with drinks. No bread basket after requesting some bread on the table. Food blah but we were so hungry already we have to eat. I guess that is why the bread basket never came. Very expensive based on our experience. Will not recommend at all. The place down the hill 2 miles from the house is a lot better read more

Fabulous experience. We felt like we were in Berlin with the cosmopolitan atmosphere, diverse patrons, and graceful, attentive staff. Our dinner was wonderful in all aspects. We were guests of Edge a few days after the super-storm-Sandy which had most of Bethlehem in darkness, but this restaurant was buttoned-up and ready to warm the soul with a perfect evening. We have already made reservations to return and bring friends with us. btw, the outside decor is odd--I agree. Perhaps they will think of a solution. Meanwhile, enjoy the happy hour and relax. read more

I was surprised at how good Edge was. For prices that are comparable to Apollo Grill, I had a much better meal. We tried the chicken lettuce wraps which were flavorful and tender, and the Alsatian pizza was crispy and tasty. I didn't like the poppy seeds on th pizza but that was a minor problem. Lump crab cakes were delicious, and napa cabbage slaw was yummy except there was just too much of it. Potato gratin was creamy and rich. My husband's petit filet was also fantastic. We were too full for dessert, unfortunately. Aside from there being too much slaw on my plate, my only complaint is about the chairs....I was sinking down into my dining chair and it was pretty uncomfortable. I'd definitely go ack for the food though. read more

Best New York Strip I have ever had! The Edge belongs in a metropolitan city not Bethlehem, PA

Atmosphere, romantic and subdued. Music, trendy. Food, mediocre. Service, attentive. I have been to Edge several times and overall it just does not meet expectations. The decor seems dated at this point and the first thing that everyone at the table noticed was that we were sinking into our chairs. While the staff and service was good, the food was simply fair. Calamari appetizer and the duck entree were the highlights of the night. Other dishes just seemed thrown together, not to mention a limited supply of burgers - is ground beef that hard to keep in stock? My dish, the salmon, came out staunchly different from the menu's description. Salmon sunk into a bed of mushy, sloppy mashed potatoes, with some slaw like vegetable intertwined and three mussels out of the shell sitting on top of the salmon. I thought I was getting salmon in a Champagne glaze/vinaigrette with yukon potatoes and vegetables. Dessert came out as expected. Overall, Edge just seems to miss the mark next to its competition. I would sooner go to Broadway Social, Tappas, Corked, Mamma Ninas, or Twisted Olive in Bethlehem before trying Edge. read more

This is an interesting place.. there are aspects that were 4 or 5 stars, but they were offset by downsides that made this an overall average experience. The space is nice and the parking/location is ideal. The seating is extremely tight and it's tough to have a private conversation when you have 2 conversations on either side of your table within a foot or two.. The food that we ordered; calamari, escargot, salmon, burger was all done very well and would lend itself to a higher rating. After dinner we enjoyed drinks and dessert at the bar with a very unattentive and borderline rude bartender. All in all a very average experience.. read more

Excellent service and the food was phenomenal!!! Have not been here in awhile..... But definitely will be back. . Soon!

Wow! Just Wow! Amazing food, people, and atmosphere! The food was the best I have ever had. There are great selections on tap and the bartenders are a master of their craft. All the workers are so friendly! I love this place! read more

Absolutely, positively if you only eat at one restaurant in this area-make this the one-like you are in NY-without the NY prices or attitude-I will be back! read more

The food is not worth the money they charge for it. Poor presentation and dishes that could be served in chain. The calmari looking like it could be ordered in a pizza shop and the chicken dish was utterly tough, The service was horrible, the waitress left halfway through our meal to attend to a "very important person" we were told by another server. Later we found out that the person was just a regular patron, but "he pays a lot of the bills". If you want a quality high end dining experence, I recommend you go to Melt instead. read more

I have been to the restaurant a few times and have not been disappointed. They offer a variety of delicious items on the menu that it becomes difficult to choose which is my favorite. The conche fritters? The tuna tartare? Or the tarragon gnocchi? The choices are great. The drinks are delicious and I can choose from small, medium or large plates at reasonable prices. An excellent choice for dinner. read more

Went to The Edge on 2/10/18. After seeing such high ratings we assumed it would be great. Never assume. Our reservation was at 7pm for 6 people. We ordered drinks which came about 15 minutes later. We then went to order and they were out of lamb chops. Our next choice a rib eye was also not available. It's Saturday night and you already don't have 2 main courses? Some of us got salads but others had only the little roll that they gave us. We did not get our main course till 9:15pm. And when we did get our food the cauliflower and chicken was all cauliflower and the 2 filet mignons were covered with gravy as if to hide the meat. We were told that the kitchen was going crazy. Hey, it's Saturday night, it should be. The manager did come over and we told him of the issues but nothing was done. So much for customer service. With so many other restaurants to choose from I certainly will not go back. Choose wisely. read more

I had a horrible experience at this restaurant. It not only ruined our New Year's Eve, but also my mother's birthday celebration. First, in September, we made this reservation for 13 people at 8:00PM on 12/31/14. We were not seated until 8:30PM. Also in September, we requested duck to be on the menu as a surprise to my mother. We were assured this could be accomplished after follow up phone calls in November, and also on 12/30/14. When we arrived and were seated, we were informed that "the duck never made it". Secondly, we did not receive bread on the table until we asked for it and it was now after 9:00PM. Next, we were informed that the restaurant, on NYE, "ran out" of lobster. We then ordered two bottles of wine, after giving a taste to my brother the server filled everyone's glass, and did not go back to fill his glass and took the bottle away from the table. We had to ask to please leave the bottle on the table. He was unable to enjoy his drink until 9:30PM. As an apology, the manager offered a $50 gift card for this massive mistake of not letting us know they could not accommodate our request. A $50 gift card on a bill of $1k+ to a restaurant that I never want to return to? No thanks. Very poorly run establishment, if I could give less than 1 star I would. read more
