Everyone who has come out has always been friendly and asks if we've noticed anything or have any concerns before they get started. Before Citra, we had a terrible ant problem. They were literally everywhere -- bathrooms, closets, pantry, kitchen, you name it. It felt like no matter what we did, they kept coming back. Citra comes out every two months and sprays around the house, and we honestly haven't had an ant problem since. Six months later I noticed more droppings and called Hi-Tech back. Their technician told me it was likely the house settling and nothing to worry about. When we opened up the window trim during a siding project, we found tons of live termites (see photo) - still within our 1-year warranty period. When I called the office, I was told the warranty only covered the "inside" of the window, not the outside. It is the same window and the same termite problem. They offered to come back out and inspect, but quoted another $900. No apology, no ownership of the fact that the original treatment hadn't worked. I didn't feel right paying again for the same issue - and for a company I couldn't trust to solve the problem. The inspectors themselves were professional and courteous. The office experience was not. I ended up hiring a different company who treated the problem thoroughly and has been excellent. I'd recommend Hi-Tech improve how they handle situations where a treatment doesn't work. A little accountability goes a long way.
