Abraham came out and was great--very knowledgeable, professional, and easy to work with. We set some additional traps, but more importantly, he figured out the real issue and recommended sealing the vents near our crawlspace to keep the rats from coming back. They arrived promptly for appointments and were thoughtful about avoiding tracking dirt into our home. They worked with us to customize their work to our coastal climate and were very transparent about exactly what materials they would be using (all top of the line, industral-grade!). I have pets and toddlers and they took my concerns about chemical disinfects seriously and offered several options to make sure I was comfortable with what was used in our home. They really seem to take pride in their work and enjoyed sharing before and after pictures to demonstrate all the improvements they made to our crawl space. Six months later I noticed more droppings and called Hi-Tech back. Their technician told me it was likely the house settling and nothing to worry about. When we opened up the window trim during a siding project, we found tons of live termites (see photo) - still within our 1-year warranty period. When I called the office, I was told the warranty only covered the "inside" of the window, not the outside. It is the same window and the same termite problem. They offered to come back out and inspect, but quoted another $900. No apology, no ownership of the fact that the original treatment hadn't worked. I didn't feel right paying again for the same issue - and for a company I couldn't trust to solve the problem. The inspectors themselves were professional and courteous. The office experience was not. I ended up hiring a different company who treated the problem thoroughly and has been excellent. I'd recommend Hi-Tech improve how they handle situations where a treatment doesn't work. A little accountability goes a long way.

However, when the day finally came, they sent Zach out to perform the treatment, and he completely changed my outlook on the situation. Zach was outstanding. He took his time, was thorough, professional, and never seemed rushed. He explained what he was doing, answered my questions, and clearly knew his stuff. On top of that, he was just a genuinely chill and pleasant guy to work with. It's rare to find technicians who combine knowledge, professionalism, and customer service as well as he does. In my opinion, Zach deserves a raise or a promotion.

Yup, Frank is the man. We had an argentine ant problem coming in to the bathroom for water for a few months! (they are in N. America to stay and have eliminated other ant populations, Frank knows it all). I had tried everything the commercial hardware store had to offer but these little guys were tough. Frank came out and found the infestation route in the heater ducting, knocked them down. But they were also coming in from another route under the house. Frank came back at no charge and put down a tougher insecticide barrier. Haven't seen any ants since which as been more than 6 months. I am sending him another $100 today just because he was so gracious to honor his guarantee. I feel good supporting a local entrepreneur like Frank who is fully trained and certified and gives professional and complete service for a fair price. read more

Few days ago I seen a fat trail of ants outside my house, like if they were trying to find a crack to get in, well sure enough I seen those suckers in my kitchen, I was whinnying to my husband, so he looked up online and we call frank pest control. It was late in the afternoon but the owner Frank showed up to our location (Hayward) in one hour, he did his inspection around the house and put bait in my kitchen only, well the nxt morning not only all the ants were gone frm the kitchen but frm the entire house. But they did not set foot in the attic during their inspection. They climbed the ladder, took a look around, and climbed back down. Yet from this they were able to determine that 100% of our insulation needed to be replaced, among other things, totally close to 20k! What?! In contrast, Luis donned a full hazmat suit, went into the attic, and provided detailed photos of each specific area that needed to be addressed. He said our insulation was perfect, btw. He went around our entire property, checking for all entry points. Went under the house and did the same. Gave me an extremely competitive quote, which I accepted, and he had a team out the same day. At the end, he provided me all the before and after pictures so that I felt assured that the work had been done well. The following week he came out as promised and removed on rodent from a trap. The rest were still clean. Today he called again to see if he could come check the traps once more and I told him that next week would be better.
