Fresh pies made daily. Can't go wrong with a cream pie.

I didn't grow up here, but I know this place is a Sylvan Beach institution. Hang out here long enough and you'll see folks running into each other whose families have summered here for years. It's the kind of small town charm you can't buy. You have got to know what to order here. The menu has grown over the years but the best dishes will always be the classics. The antipasto, fish fry, hot ham, bbq sandos and any of the sauce dishes will never disappoint you. Services here is always friendly and attentive. You get furloughs rolls for the table to start. And the ice cream is a consistent hit. You can't do better than that!

Prime rib sandwhich with fries.

Went to Eddy's foe the first time. Casual diner type place with nostalgic atmosphere. Food 2/5 stars. I had the prime rib sandwhich, new England clam chowder, and banana cream pie. Chowder was mostly potatoes and corn with a tiny piece or two of clams. Not very tasty. Prime rib sandwhich was overcooked and fatty. Np au jus but had horseradish sauce which was ok. Banana cream pie was huge and made of imitation banana pudding over a large cap of whipped cream. Hate to say it but if the food continues this way than Eddie's is headed for closure. Service 3/5. Waitress, while attentive, was always rushing about. She would place something was asked on our table and then hurry off. There's working hard and working so fast that your customers feel uncomfortable. Unfortunately my experience was the latter.

BLT on Italian toast and crinkle fries
Patty P.

We visited Eddie's on 6/6 Tuesday for lunch. Had 2 fish sandwiches and a BLT in our party. Also some crinkle fries. We all agreed our meals were delicious. The ladies were friendly and service was fast. The ambiance is plain but the food and service are the most important part. Price was reasonable also. I am picky about my food ex bacon has to be crispy, fish pieces thick and flaky and my fries have to be hot not Luke warm. With that it was a nice lunch!

July 2022 - Eddie's has been one of my moms (80yrs) fav restaurants, she has fond memories of childhood summers in Sylvan beach & eating at Eddie's. We stopped recently on a Monday for lunch - she likes their fish sandwich. We were happy with the food & service, and it seemed the place had been better cared for & fixed up a bit since we were last there, many years ago (10 or more) it's still a casual family diner, a local business since the 1930s I think.

I have been eye balling this joint since we arrived at Slyvan Beach. It's a very bright venue right…read morein front of our Vrbo. Who doesn't want to go to a joint that says food, slots and drinks in the very front of it? It just screams fun. My daughter and I headed inside. We were stopped by a security guard. He carded us since it's an 18 and up only. The security was really nice! We got carded and made our way in. All the slots were bright and calling my name. They all looked so fun but we were here for food so we headed to the restaurant. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. As beautiful as the weather is, of course we had to sit outside. The setting couldn't be more perfect. The sun was starting to set so the sky was shades of pink and blue. The clouds sprinkled the sky and the water was still. It couldn't have been more perfect view for us. Anna came and greeted us. She has the prettiest smile. She asked us what we'd like to drink. We got our sodas ordered and since I had already looked at the menu, we asked if we can go ahead and order food as well. My daughter and I both got a bowl of clam chowder and some calamari to share. Our clam chowder came out first. It was beautifully topped with bacon and green onion. The chowder was hot! I added the oyster crackers in it so they can sog up. Soggy oyster crackers are so good! The clam chowder was fantastic! It had chunky pieces of celery, potatoes and clams. It was hearty and thick. I ordered a bowl and the bowl was on the smaller side but it was actually the perfect amount. The calamari was some of the best I have ever had! The calamari was so tender. It wasn't chewy or rubbery. They were perfectly breaded and fried. The breading wasn't thick, it was light and crunchy. There was also fried pieces of banana peppers. They were so good! You dip it all in the aioli, chef's kiss. You get a generous amount of calamari. We couldn't finish it so we boxed the rest of those babies for later. The whole experience at the Lake House was phenomenal. From the setting to the service, it was all fantastic. This joint is the perfect setting for a date night. I enjoyed every minute sharing a meal with my daughter here. I'm happy my curiosity brought me to this joint. It's definitely one of my top 3 core memories from this trip. I look forward coming back, enjoying another meal and sunset here.

Extremely attentive and funny, and answered any and all questions we had. She checked in just the right amount. The soup/wrap (or sandwich) special was a great deal! Really enjoyed the 1/2 casino, 1/2 beach vibe. Even while the outside world looked dead (hey - it's end of winter in Sylvan Beach after all) it was all good vibes inside! The old love to go back.

The atmosphere is Key West meets northern lakefront - tropical, chill, and ready to party all day. We sat outside at the bar, steps from Oneida Lake, perfect to eat, drink, and people watch. We found the entire staff to be actively engaged in servicing the guests. Beer was ice cold and wow do they have lots of beers to choose from - an overwhelming menu! My friend and I ordered two types of tacos: The chicken tacos came OVERSTUFFED with tender, flavorful shredded chicken which was juicy and delicious along with diced tomatoes and onions; we asked for the Mexican Crema on the side and the modification was adhered to. The beer-battered fish tacos came with gigantic shrimp which did not fit into the taco (in other words, excellent portion size) plus pico and pickles - yes, you read that right, pickles, and yes the tacos were perfect with the pickles tucked inside! We asked for the zip-zap sauce on the side and again, the modification was adhered to. The only thing I could say (if I had to pinpoint a negative) was that the food took over 20 minutes and the dining room/outdoor bar was not terribly busy; however, this did not take away from the experience as we made friends at the bar, conversed with the bartenders, and enjoyed the view of a beautiful summer afternoon on the lake. I'd suggest any potential guests just be prepared for ticket times to be a little longer than one might be used to. I will definitely be back, there's lots more I want to try on this menu and I want to enjoy some live music in the near future.

Really decent coffee at 10 cents a cup and unending refills are frosting on the cake. Breakfast itself was very basic diner fare -- eggs, toast, and the usual staples. Nothing fancy, but it was inexpensive and filled the plate. The atmosphere gave me strong old truck-stop diner vibes. Some people may appreciate that nostalgic roadside feel, but for me the restaurant felt a bit dirty and very worn down, like it hasn't had much maintenance or updating in quite a long time. One of the people dining with me ordered a lunch special of beef and mashed potatoes, and unfortunately it was extremely greasy and didn't seem freshly made. It was bad enough that they couldn't finish it. Another downside for me was that the diner is cash-only. We rarely carry cash, so we had to use the ATM, which added extra cost to the visit. Overall, Flo's is definitely a very old-school diner experience -- cheap food, tiny coffee prices, and a truck-stop style atmosphere. I'm sure that works perfectly for some people looking for a quick, inexpensive meal, but it just wasn't the right fit for me.

Brittany provided very good service. Very friendly and attentive. Stuffed jalapenos with sausage were ok. Peppers were not very hot. Wouldn't order again. 2 Peppers and 2 sausage only. Wasn't really put together well. Soup, shrimp and crab bisque, amazing, as previously enjoyed. Not salty at all. Salmon with mustard sauce special was excellent. Brussels and rice were very good, as well. Bacon wrapped pork medallions bourbon cream sauce was just ok. Vegetables and mashed potatoes were good. Not a mash potatoes person but theirs weren't bad. Their French Fries were great. Restaurant is nice inside with indoor and in season, outdoor seating. They have lots of areas for groups including an upstairs section.
