went in for lunch with my daughter and it was terrible got the fish sandwich and Mac and cheese special my daughter got a taco quesadilla and we got a sampler to share. the Mac and cheese was SO dry I told the waitress and she just said she was sorry and offered me some fries it was hard from sitting . the fish was not haddock and barley cooked all the way. The meat in the taco quesadilla was hard. the waitresses have zero customer service skills and the girl at the front desk is absolutely miserable. As an over the road owner operator we stopped to fuel up at 9:06 pm ($500), upon going inside all the employees were sitting around talking. When I ask for the diesel the old lady with the white hair snapped we are closed, I said I will pay cash? her response was " what didn't you understand we are closed". First off if you don't want to deal with anyone a few minutes after 9 get up off your @@s and lock the door, Secondly this would explain why your parking lot only had 3 trucks parks for the night. I suggest to anyone to drive right on by and go to Speedy's Auto Travel Plaza exit 34 . they greet you with a smile no matter what and the parking lot is full! The cashier could see our dogs in the cab and came out with meat sticks for them. This is what customer service is and makes you keep coming back! Great American fare. Burger was perfect and huge. Got the 1/2 pound BBQ burger and it was wonderful. Got 5 wings with the hot honey garlic sauce which was wonderful too. Parish, is very sparse for restaurants.......without a whole lot to choose from but we stopped in to try.... The Grist Mill is a diner style restaurant with a very spacious eating area, and a large menu, Breakfast is served all day. We went with safe choices. Food was average did not seem fresh, decided not to try the multiple pies after being told they were not made on premise. Bummer!!!! read more

We decided to check this place out as we cruised south in I-81. It had good Yelp and Google reviews and the pictures looked attractive. It was a bleachy-clean smell that welcomed us. COVID-19 precautions in full effect. As we walked in, the pictures in our mind were realized. It's a very wam, rustic lodge feel to it. I commented to my wife how it could be like a Hallmark movie where the people are stranded inside as a lake effect blizzard piles up outside and be comfy and cozy. I asked the server the standard question, "If this is my one and only visit ever, what should I get?" She pointed me to the Big Western BBQ Burger; a half-pound bacon burger with BBQ sauce and onion rings. It sounded amazing. Although "comes with pickle and chips" was a little disappointing. I paid the $2.98 up charge for a side of onion rings. My wife did a bacon burger and likewise upgraded to French fries, which weren't worth the upcharge. It's hard to say if they were overcooked or just inferior quality product, but the fries disappointed. She picked off my onion rings which were great. Overall, we were pleased with our visit. Yummy coffee! One last comment for the gentleman in the kitchen, your mask is worthless if you're not covering your nose. "Over the Nose is How It Goes!" I ordered the 1/2lb burger with the works. It Included cheese, mushrooms, mayo, lettuce & tomato. Also came with a side of potato chips. I could had upgrade to fries or onion rings for $3 more but decided not to this time. I was asked how I would like my burger cooked? I assumed since it's ground beef and not a steak I should get it at least med well. It came out piping hot and juicy. Very delicious. No pink at all, which I think is a good thing for a hamburger. The toppings looked as though they were freshly cut. It all tasted great and complimented the mushroom cheese burger. I stopped here because I had to charge my Tesla and the charging stations are right out in the rear parking of the restaurant. The diner was about 30% full with some kids and couples. They have a lot of seating and had at least 3 maybe 4 servers working at 10am on a Sunday morning. I would define eat here again next time I have to charge my car. read more

Food here is generally pretty good and there are lots of choices on the menu. Wait staff are reasonably pleasant and attentive. Really nice that they are open 24/7 and quality of the food seems to remain the same even during odd/late hours. Only real issue with the place is that they've got their televisions constantly tuned to fox news garbage. Guess you can be ignorant and still run a restaurant! Visited tonight and discovered that they had a display of the world's largest dick on display! Did a double take and discovered it was just the fox "news" channel showing tRuMp blowing hot air at one of his nonsensical rallies. read more

The place was busy, but the floors and restrooms were dirty, the table we sat at was clean but the chairs were torn and dirty. The server was just polite enough to not be rude. The portions were large, but the food was nothing to rave about. My grandsons steak was tough and fatty. My husband's chicken was over fried, and the sauce for my chicken parmigiana was noting more than cheap tomato sauce with some tomatoes added.
