We have been to Eddie V's a few times for special celebrations, and they've knocked it out of the park each time. It's beautiful inside, you can tell they spent all the money on fit and finish. Service is impeccable. The servers and everyone you encounter is there to make sure your visit is memorable. It can get louder when they're busy (which seems to be all the time), but not overwhelmingly so. If you're having a celebration, you'll get special treatment, including a hand written note and a dessert sampler. Now on to the food - it's exceptional. Everything is priced for the high quality you're getting, and the portion sizes are generous. The calamari app is big enough for at least 2 people, and is the best I've ever had. I've seen a lot of people order a bunch of dishes, I'm not sure how anyone can eat an app, a salad, a main and a side, but more power to them. The steaks are top-notch and cooked and seasoned perfectly. I've also had seafood, it's amazing. If you get dessert, pick the bananas foster - it's beyond delicious (and who doesn't love something that gets set on fire at your table?). Make a reservation and let your experience start! We will absolutely be back.
As always, Eddie V's delivered an exceptional experience. We came to celebrate our religious holiday, and everything from start to finish was perfect. Our server, Derek W., truly went above and beyond--attentive, warm, and incredibly professional. We will absolutely be requesting him every time we visit. We loved our seating, which made the evening feel even more special. The food was phenomenal--starting with the calamari, tuna, and caviar. The caviar was especially outstanding... absolutely delicious. And of course, you can never go wrong with their fresh bread. For entrées, my husband had the filet mignon and loved it. The Chilean sea bass, as always, was perfection. The sides were equally impressive. Consistently a 5-star experience--Eddie V's never disappoints.
Wonderful experience! It wasn't busy at 5pm and we enjoyed a long slow service. The food was delicious!! Rory our server was amazing and attentive. We will definitely be back!
I dined here with my parents, wife and brother's family recently for a special occasion. This restaurant is always a sure thing for us and this trip did not disappoint. The decor and staff are aleayd excellent, but obviously it's the food that matters most. We ordered a number of different seafood dishes to share and everything we consumed was either great amazing. My only complaint (and this is being nitpicky) was they did not have king crab legs in the shell, so when I did order the king crab it was brought to me already prepared in a dish. It was a little cold by the time it made its way to the table, but they gave me more meat than what the order was supposed to have to compensate so it was a win for me. If you are in the mood to splurge on a nice dinner, you cannot go wrong with Eddie V's.
We dined at Eddie V's for a birthday dinner. Upon arrival the live music was playing in the bar area which added a nice elegant touch to the evening. We had reservations and ended up waiting approximately 15 minutes still for our table. While this was unexpected I didn't let it completely change my opinion of the restaurant. During our reservation l indicated that we would be celebrating a birthday. We were pleasantly surprised to arrive to the table and find a sprinkling of rose petals and a card from Eddie V's. This was certainly a nice touch and made the wait at the door seem even more insignificant. BUT, once we were sat it took nearly 15 minutes before someone came over and asked us if we wanted water. They didn't take our cocktail order as they said they would come back to do so. Once we received our water it was 10 minutes later and it took nearly 25 minutes to receive our cocktail after ordering. The issue I don't believe was the restaurant itself but our waitress as the table that sat down 30 minutes after us received their drinks at the same time we did. Following that I ordered an appetizer and the appetizer was garnished with items not mentioned on the menu that I do not eat. When I shared this with the waitress, her response was "it is barely on the food"...in actuality it was on each item and I did not want it. When the food was remade it came back to the table over cooked. Finally, our entrees took a very long time to be delivered and were not very warm upon delivery to the table which tells me they had been sitting awhile.which is. It surprising given the ultra slow service from our waitress. This experience was subpar and not at all what I would have expected. Our waitress checked on the other tables that she was assigned multiple times and we had to flag her down anytime we had a need which was not that frequent but certainly legitimate. Based off of this experience I most likely would not dine at this location again as a special evening was met with frustration.
The food was delicious. I have been to Eddie V's in Troy multiple times in the past & have never been disappointed. My appetizer was butter and delicious. The ribeye steak was tender & juicy. The Au Gratin potatoes were piping hot & made with care. As always the service doesn't disappoint. The restaurant was relatively quiet as we arrived early.
Stopped in for a happy hour and was very pleased. Had an amazing Bartender( Kim )who did such a great job with her service. Truly service with a smile. The food was spot on as well. Loved the filet mignon sliders and the Rockefeller oysters. Would definitely recommend. Those I was dining with also enjoyed their bar menu items which included the lamb chops and the lobster bites. What a surprisingly delicious happy hour menu. The drinks were equally as good. Didn't quite enjoy the Cosmo as much but the bourbon smash was delicious. Great live jazz music added to the experience. All in all I would definitely recommend and will definitely go back. Ask for Kim. She was lovely.
Bff and I went to enjoy the happy hour specials. We had a the lump crab cake ($31 for 1), prime steak tataki, cesar salad, and crab fried rice. All were delicious and the drinks were great. I had a margarita and she had a cosmo and a bullet sour. The service was great. The ladies were very attentive and the manager came by to make sure all was well. There was a trio that started to play around 6:30. The vibe was cool and intimate.
Celebrating 20 years of marriage on Christmas Eve. We loved the table setting as we were seated in the banquet area by the window, realizing a wintery draft that chilled the air. Anthony, our waiter was pleasant, yet distracted getting some of the order wrong, most likely due to number of tables serving. The appetizers and our meal presentation was good; we ordered lobster tacos, crab cake, scallops, white fish, lobster bisque, wedge salad but was given a regular greek salad. The w a little undercooked. We give it a 3.
Nice place for dinner amazing filet and everyone's dinner was great!!! We all loved the live music and the openest with the warm weather outside everything about was lovely. The waitstaff offered excellent service, I would definitely recommend!!
We had a nice second experience. We went to celebrate our birthdays. There was a handwritten card waiting for us on the table with rose petals. Complimentary champagne toast was a special touch. The bread was so soft and delicious. We ordered scallops and sea bass, a side of crab stuffed shrimp, with au grautin potatoes and crab fried rice. Banana foster for dessert (w a flame!). The sea bass and the sauce in it was amazing from the first to the last bite. Our server was great, and we enjoyed the quality of service.

Upscale seafood and steak, fine dining at its peak. From the valet parking to the well appointed tables with plenty of space for privacy, Eddie Vs hits all the right notes. Phil is the poster child for how service should be done- wonderful suggestions and top tier attention to the little details that make dinner memorable. Cocktails were delicious, wine paired perfectly with dinner. Get the Lemon Tarte!

A group of 7 of us came here for dinner. We all commented on how high the prices were. One person in our group got a glass of wine at the bar and it was $16! I couldn't bear to spend the amount they charged for an entree, so I got the warm goat cheese salad, and my sister & I shared the crab fried rice. Both were delicious, but the price point was awfully high. Our server, Jessie (?) was very nice and efficient, but very, very rehearsed. I felt like she was over the top with the "Is everything tasting delicious this evening?" and other such comments. It almost seemed like she walked off a stage to be the server. But, her service was good, and she was very polite, waiting until people stopped talking before she started telling us whatever she needed to say. The young man who refilled the water and bread (I didn't catch his name) was also very efficient without being obtrusive. Overall, I did enjoy it, and I certainly liked the atmosphere. Although, it was loud and very difficult to hear our tablemates. read more

One of my favorite date night spots. Always excellent food and service. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. They go above and beyond, whether it's a casual Tuesday night dinner or Valentine's Day dinner. I highly recommend the Kung Pao calamari and oysters as apps. We almost always order the filet mignon with a lobster tail, a seafood dish, and the lobster mashed potatoes. Food is always cooked to perfection and melts in your mouth. read more
We came here based on a recommendation from my son who had been here for drinks and appetizers. This is one of those restaurants you go to for a very special occasion and plan on spending a lot of money. My sons got Smoked Old Fashion Drinks that that basically prepare at your table. They both enjoyed the drinks. One son got the Lobster Bisque soup that that also assembled at our table. That was absolutely delicious and every drop was eaten or soaked up in the bread that was on the table. These are the entree's everyone ordered: 22 oz bone in ribeye with blue cheese crust and 2 stuffed shrimp, an 8 oz filet with 2 stuffed shrimp, the Hong Kong Sea Bass, and a 16 oz bone in filet with blue cheese crust. For side dishes we ordered grilled asparagus with Hollandaise sauce and the Au Gratin potatoes. Everything was delicious and our waiter Kevin was awesome read more

Ambiance warm and inviting. Valet very accommodating and open not only the car door but the door to the restaurant Ashley our server was very accommodating and responsive. Served warm bread upon being seated with flavored butter. Enjoy the 24 karat specialty cocktail. We had a party of eight and ordered a variety of entrees and enjoyed all of our choices. The birthday desserts were particularly delicious. Definitely recommend. read more

Awesome job today. One guess said the best lobster tail ever, they know what they are doing. Two others haf scallops, one cooked normal and the other extra. Both were on point good. And the salmon. Yes! They can cook some salmon. It was perfectly moist and seasoned to perfection. The last meal the guest like very much however, not my cup of tea. Never the less, everyone was happy with their selections, which say volume. Moufak K. Did an excellent job with service. When we made reservation, they initially wouldn't accommodate a table over a booth, but when we arrived it was a table. Thanks a bunch. We enjoyed our stay. read more

Bartenders have quite a sense of humor, knowledgeable about menu items, and hospitable. The hostess- not so much. I celebrated my birthday here and it was such a fabulous time. A soul jazz band was there around 530p on a Thursday. read more
Stopped in for Happy Hour. I decided to treat myself to an early birthday dinner and drink. I tried the Hope diamond martini. It was amazing, a little too sweet for my taste because I love dirty martinis. Courtney was a great bartender and server. The food was delicious as always. I couldn't finish my crab cake though. read more
We had another amazing dinner here. With wonderful service and beautiful ambiance and great food! I had an east and west coast oyster and then the Chilean sea bass and my mother had the parmesan crusted soul and we split the au gratin cheddar potatoes Drinks were a sidecar and the 24 karat cocktail and a glass of German Riesling. Eddie V's has been at the top of my list and will continue to stay there! All the money I have spent there I need a assigned parking spot lol. Beautiful restaurant inside and out. Had my birthday dinner there in one of there private rooms and it was great. Still need to check out their outdoor patio/seating one day. Staff is phenomenal. Food is phenomenal. Won't go into detail about all the dishes I have had because this review would be too damn long. Just know the Calamari, Norwegian Salmon, Crib Rice, Mac & Cheese, Spinach, every damn thing is great. read more
Seriously people!!! 24 karat cocktail, crabcakes and crab fried rice!!!!!! You can't go wrong with anything on their menu, but these are my three favorite things and all three are my repeat items. Fabulous, perfect service- beautiful environment. Why would I go anywhere else? Celebrated my daughter-in-law's birthday there last night, but birthday- casual- last-minute dinner, it doesn't matter- it's the best !!! read more

7/1/23 Zach and I came here with his parents for a 7PM dinner reservation. There is a parking lot outside the restaurant. We got there around 6:30PM and the staff was able to accommodate us. Our waiter that evening was Andrew, who was very pleasant and friendly. Here's what we got: - Georges bank scallops (mine) - Calamari (for the table) - Grilled asparagus (for the table) - A side of mac and cheese (for the table) - Lamb Chops (Zach's) - Red dragon (drink for me) - Lobster bisque (his) I can't remember what his parents got for entrees and apps, but they said it was all good and they have come to Eddie V's many times before. The Red Dragon drink was refreshing and tart. The calamari dish was surprisingly a lot (to share for 4 people) and tasted great. The scallops tasted good, but I wish it had more to go with it. Ordering the asparagus and the mac and cheese for the table helped, but since I was sharing with 3 other people, I was still hungry when we left (even after dessert XD). Those side dishes were pretty standard. Zach said his lobster bisque was good and the lamb chops were cooked perfectly. At the end of the dinner, they gave us a dessert trio plate since Zach's parents mentioned we were celebrating an early birthday dinner for Zach. The mini banana foster was deliciously sweet and warm, and the vanilla ice cream was a nice cold complement to it. Overall, the dinner was nice and the staff was pleasant. I'd probably only go back if Zach's family wanted to go again. read more

I came here for dinner, and it was fairly crowded. The parking lot was full of cars-some very fancy. Since it was my first time here, I had pretty high expectations from what I had heard about the restaurant Burrata and Heirloom Salad- The Italian burrata didn't taste particularly fresh. I've had fresh mozzarella and burrata where the fresh cream flavor comes through and coats your tongue, but this tasted nothing special. The heirloom tomatoes were similary underwhelming. The extra virgin olive oil was bland with none of the grassy and peppery notes that you get with a good oil. Since this is a dish with straghtforward ingredients, they have to be of the highest quality and unfortunately this wasn't met. Prime Bone-in New York Strip- I didn't expect this steak to be so plainly presented. Usually there's some type of garnish or something for this price point, but it was literally a hunk of meat on an otherwise empty plate. I guess they wanted room for the sides. I had the crab fried rice, which blew me away. There were generous pieces of crab and the rice was cooked perfectly. The truffled macaroni and cheese was so-so, the pasta was on the softer side but I felt that they used too much of the "truffle oil" (AKA artificial flavoring that you get in a bottle) since it was very heavy. The grilled asparagus was as expected. I wish I had ordered the Chilean Sea Bass-it was steamed and came in a bamboo steamer basket so points for presentation. I heard it was delicious. Banana Foster's Butter Cake- This was the star of the show, literally a show. It was flambeed at the table and certainly impressive. It was warm and contrasted nicely with the butter pecan ice cream. It was rich and moist. What a perfect way to end the meal. read more
Sweetest Day date night for hubby and I. We had an awesome dining experience. We started with Point Judith calamari, smoked old fashion ( smooth and surprisingly a lil sweet)for hubby, and 24 karat for me). Hubby was impressed with our waiter( sucks I can't remember his name right now), who was quite knowledgeable about the wine offerings. We chose the Emmolo Napa Valley Merlot which paired well with hubby's 22oz ribeye and my Chilean Bass. Our sides included asparagus and the butter lobster mash potatoes(yummy). We thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance and light jazz that is associated with every single Eddie V's I have ever visited. Our waiter Moufak was simply amazing! He was on point, precise, professional and made our night. We were celebrating three birthdays and he comped us a bottle of champagne for a toast and made sure to accommodate the non alcoholic drinkers with shirley temples in a champagne flute so they did not feel left out. He also comped us dessert! There were several people in our group that had never been to an Eddie V's and he definitely left an impression on them! Moufak's willingness to go above and beyond and the consistency of Eddie V's is one of the many reasons I have been a frequent patron over the years all over the country. read more
